Charles was going crazy with anger. Before Nancy could finish her words, he kissed her hard on the lips.
"Woah... Charles, I hate you!" Nancy tried to kick him away.
But he already held her securely in his arms.
"Bobby, what's going on with mommy and daddy?" Nadia asked curiously.
Melancholic, Bobby replied, "They seem to be quarreling again!"
"Why are they arguing? Doesn't daddy love mommy anymore?" Nadia probed, obviously upset.
"We children don't understand the world of adults, so don't ask anymore!" Depressed, Bobby walked to the dining table. Rubbing his stomach, he said, "I'm so hungry. I miss uncle Edward so much."
"I'm also hungry. And I miss uncle Edward too, but where has he been?"
"I don't know," said Nadia, stroking her belly.
While the two children were talking, they suddenly heard their father scream.
Bobby instantly jumped up from his chair and ran upstairs. Nadia followed behind him.
"Daddy, what's going on? Are you okay?"
The two kids sh
figured out where those photos came from. Maybe it was from Edward?
Before he found out the truth, he didn't want her to know.
"Don't mind that anymore. I'm sorry, Nancy. I promise that no matter what happens in the future, I will restrain myself and won't let myself jump to conclusions. If I don't trust you again, I will accept the punishment. I..." Charles said as if he was making a vow.
How could Nancy bear to let Charles say those words?
She covered his mouth and said, "Don't say that!"
"Tell me, do you believe me?" Charles kissed her hand and asked diffidently.
"It would depend on your performance." She flashed a naughty smile.
"Alright!" Charles said with a smile, "Go downstairs. The kids are waiting for us!"
"There is one more thing..." asked Nancy.
"What?" Charles felt that he had almost explained everything. What other questions could Nancy have?
"Please be nice to Edward. He is a good man..." Nancy wanted to say more but stopped on a second thought.
