"I really need to know of this world," he said aloud as he was opening up cabinets and drawers. In the far corner under the sink, he stared at the item. He reached and pulled it out as he stood up holding the golden goose.
*Task Completed. Earned points. Wish to use now?*
"What do points do?" Shun put the item on the sink counter.
*Wish to use now?*
"…"
*Wish to use now?*
"So persistent…" he frowned, "Sure."
*Gained Xiong Shun's Memories. Please sleep for completion.*
"Oh, I get to know this person? Alright," Shun hummed.
Nodding, he walked over to the only other door and opened it. Lying on the bed, he closed his eyes and hoped that becoming this Idol Popstar thing would be easy and quick. Letting out an exhale of deep breath, he relaxed into his sleep.
["Wake up Shun-er," the voice of a female whispered and he blinked opened his eyes.
The vision of a pretty woman smiled at him. He felt a hand to his head and turned to see an older man smiling at him too.
"We finally made it, son. Come, let's get to our seats," the man walked ahead of them and he followed with the female holding his hand.
As they settled down, the lights flashed and his eyes widened to see 7 people on a stage preforming. The sound of music filled the space as dancing accompanied them. His eyes were glued to a specific man with blue hair. Shun felt breathless watching the performance.
"I want to be like him," he told his parents in the car when they were heading home.
"We believe you can, darling," his mother smiled over at him and his father nodded in agreement.
Then the vision changed to staring at gravestones. He could feel tears streaming down his cheeks and his heart clenching with every breath.
Suddenly, he found himself dancing in front of the mirror, singing anywhere he could, to the point that he forgot to eat.
"I will be an idol for you, mama and baba."]
When he woke, he stared at the wall for a long time.
Everything made sense now. The metal box was a car. The rectangle was a phone. The high tower like structures were skyscrapers. Everything that he did not know about this world had suddenly been cleared. Smiling he sat up and was happy that he gained this knowledge. It would definitely help him not look so lost!
His phone rang and he blinked over to the noise. Smiling, he went to dug into his bag to pick up his phone.
"Morning Shun. I'm outside."
"Coming," he replied and realized he did not shower, "Wait. Give me five minutes."
"Did you forget to shower again? I swear Shun…"
"I fell asleep."
"Alright. Hurry up."
Quickly pulling clothes and entering his shower. He did the quickest wash he ever had. This was nothing like when he was in his kingdom soaking in his bath. There was no rush of anything, just his marriage to a potential princess. Here in this world, everything was fast paced and he had to work much harder than he was used to.
It made an excitement flower within him.
Quickly wiping himself down, he dressed and grabbed his bag. Locking up, he rushed to his friend's car and entered. Smiling at his friend, he thanked Wen Dong and off they went to the studio.
"You look refreshed," Wen Dong laughed, "You feeling better?"
"Much. I'm ready to become an idol."
"Ah! There is the Shun I know and love!" His friend laughed and cupped his shoulder, "Let us work extra hard."
Shun agreed and turned up the music to pump them up.
The memories of Xiong Shun flooded him last night. He felt for the man and felt how hard he worked to become an idol for his deceased parents. The man practiced every single waking hour. He practiced singing as he studied. He practiced dancing in the shower. There was no amount of time did he paused in his determination for becoming an idol.
Shun also knew Xiong Shun was quite sick.
The day he entered was the day the man died.
'Xiong Shun. I will make your dream come true. I promise.'
The floating square… no, the screen appeared listing his current status to see two status changes.
*Health 90%* *Stress 50%*
He smiled and nodded at himself. This was good.
"Morning!" Ping greeted them and slipped in, "Let's go!"
They all practiced their singing on the way to the studio. Shun could not help feeling like he was with family. Once they parked and entered the studio, Shun went straight to Tee. The boy smiled and nodded at him, before it was back to teaching him how to dance. Sweat dripping down his forehead and heart racing with exertion, he couldn't stop the smile on his face.
He will work just as hard as Xiong Shun.
After the tenth time, Tee had them take a ten minute break.
"You've improved. I guess it was your head," Tee praised and drank from his bottle.
The ding sounded and he looked at the screen.
*Dancing ability 3%-> 11%* *Confidence 18%-> 22%* *Reached Level 1: Dancing- Good Coordination*
"Fantastic," he grinned, "Thanks Tee."
The boy smiled at him and Shun found his cheeks warming.
'Ah, so many good looking men,' he looked away and drank his water.
He looked over at the clear wall to see his friends were singing and he found his heart proud. Standing up, shaking his limbs, he began dancing again. Tee watched him with his cryptic brown eyes and paused him every so often to reposition him.
"Come, let's go eat, gege," Ping entered the clear room he was dancing in with Tee and others in, "Ah Tee, can you teach me when we come back from lunch?"
"Sure."
"Thank you, Senior Tee," Ping bowed thankfully and Shun patted the boy's head.
"Do you want to join us?" Shun offered to the dancer.
"I think I'll stay and practice more."
Shun nodded and joined his friends to eat.
For the next week, they all worked really hard and helped one another improve. Even the floating screen seemed excited with him from all the dings. His confidence went from 22% to 42%, dancing ability from 11%-> 20%, and his stress was at 50% the entire time.
The managers even noticed their change and progress. Manager Quang and Ling brought them pizza to eat.
"I am proud of all of you," Manager Ling Mei grinned happily, "You've all improved so much!"
"Come, let see your improvements," Manager Quang Zhi spoke up and there was a smile on his face.
It was a little creepy if Shun was being honest.
