37 Divorce

Henrietta never wanted to intervene between mother and son she watched them as they kept arguing,she thought the only way out was to keep quiet and let nature take it's place,finally dinner prepared by the villa chefs' was ready .The family of four sat down and ate in silence.Mr Thomson excused himself and told Jeremy to accompany him for a walk ,to help easy digestion of food.As the two of them left Henrietta also excused herself and went to the study room .

"Jeremy,have you managed to activate the Phoenix?" Thomson inquired.

"No father,it's not that easy ,I'm not able to make love to her,its like I'm already impotent.With her high IQ now,one of this days she will figure out that I'm not a complete man."

"Don't worry about that,if you saw the Phoenix that means you are among the chosen ones but unfortunately you are not the only one,if she comes across any man who truly loves her the same way you do,you might lose her.

"My most worry is the king discovering her existence.My men discovered the bodyguard who was with the Prince before his death was killed few days ago after they uncovered his where abouts.One of my men was also captured and killed together with his entire family.We are not sure how much information they were able to get from my captured investigator,so for now,we have halted all the investigations till the storm is over."

Jeremy contemplated for a while and said. "I feel like locking her up,I can't Imagine my legally married wife leaving me for another man,this matter is getting more and more complicated."

"Be very careful son don't act on impluse,bear in mind,if she doesn't love you back the whole thing will be a waste of time and you will not be able to produce any offspring." He advised him and later they changed the topic.Due to hostility of Madam Ritah Jeremy decided to go back to forest villa with his wife.

Henrietta was in a musing when she suddenly said. "Jeremy I think we married in a hurry,can we break at least to give each other time to reverie.Most people think I married you because of your money." Jeremy was in awe,he didn't expect her to give out such an absurd suggestion. "Did I do something wrong,why are you all over a sudden saying we give each other a break,we are not engaged Henrietta,we are husband and wife,breaking up means divorcing.We have not even completed a month since we got married and you are talking about separation."

"Try to understand me,I feel so much pressured in dealing with this social class thing,honestly speaking I feel like I don't deserve you,all I'm suggesting, give me time to reflect on this relationship."

"So what you are trying to say,you don't want to live in one roof with me, how long is this separation going to take?" Jeremy asked bitterly. She replied while hesitating.

"Until I feel comfortable of our relationship." Jeremy felt like his heart was being ripped out.He blurted out. "And what if I say no." Henrietta was dumbstruck with the question, she immediately said. "You can't force a relationship and if you insist I will just walk out.I have feelings for you but that does not guarantee you to enslave me."

"I will not enslave you but I have one request, can we all stay in forest villa and I will give you all the space you want, until you are comfortable with me?" He pleaded with her.

"I will only accept if from now on wards I will not be paraded as your wife and expected to perform wife responsibilities." She said while maintaining eye contact with him.
