129 GOOD TIME

Name:THE CEO's LOVE Author:JoannaAngel05
Finally, there was that kiss he had been wishing for. The kiss he wanted so bad.

Peace at last, would be the best statement to describe his heart now.

He knew she love him back, but and he wanted to show it. He leaned in a little closer, their foreheads touching. Dear god, he couldn't fight against the thoughts that were going through him. Her very smell was flooding his senses now...

They kissed for ninety seconds more before Xueyan started mumbling. "Stop...mmm...mmm,"

'Allow yourself have a good, time.' the voice in her head said.

'Xueyan I can't believe you're kissing this man again. He's married for Christ sake, why do you keep forgetting that?' another said.

Xueyan wanted him to stop, but her body wasn't working accordingly with her wishes. She kept arching her head up, demanding for more.

Yes, she was stupid. She can be stupid later... Not now.

"Zhao," Xueyan whispered, unevenly.

"Mhm?" He answered. He still didn't let go, he didn't want to. Just then his phone started ringing. It vibrated against Xueyan's breast, as she had the suit jacket draped over her shoulders.

He stopped, both panting heavily.

Xueyan felt shame wash all over her, and her stomach growl in anger. She passed him the phone, but she was able to catch a glimpse of who was calling.

Xiao Shiya. How can he save her name like that? It spoke about how distant they were. She felt guilty, Shiya was calling him because she was worried. And Xueyan was allowing him spend too much time with her.

He didn't want to pick, she noticed. He just turned it off and put it into his pocket.

"Shouldn't you pick? There must be something important for her to keep calling."

"Not as important as you." He replied. Tucking her hair behind her ear, she tilted her head and his large palm caressed her smooth neck. "Xueyan, you need to start believing in me."

Xueyan didn't want to argue with him again. He was adamant about wanting her, she'd rather save herself the energy than arguing. "Okay,"

"Where would you like to eat?"

"Anywhere,"

He opened the car door once again, since it was shut during the kiss.

As soon as they drove away, Riuwen came out from his hiding place. He was staring at the car leaving, then raised a small chip in his hand. "When will be right time to hand this over?"

He got in his car and drove away. As he was about to enter the road, a call came in. He picked and connected it with his earpiece. "Yes,"

"Where's Zhaolin?" The voice of the woman came through.

He frowned upon the voice. "Miss Shi..."

"Mrs Xing," Shiya corrected. "Now tell me, where's he at?"

"It would be better if you call him to find out. I don't know where he is."

"You don't know where your master is? Riuwen, is this what you were paid to do?"

"A lot but none of them includes answering to you."

Shiya tried not to yell. "Please, where's he?" She asked, with the kindest voice she could come up with.

"I'm sorry to say this, but I have no idea. If there's nothing else, then goodbye." He hung up.

Shiya was left to listen to the three beep sound. "Ah!" She had been trying to reach Zhaolin all day... She had even sent a message, he didn't reply to. "Zhaolin where the fuck are you?" She said through gritted teeth.

She paced to and fro in the large sitting room.

Her father had asked they come over, he was throwing a party for his upcoming election. As a politician, he needed people by his side, and if Zhaolin would go with her... At least, to save her father some face.

Her phone started ringing, and with hope rising in her heart that it was Zhaolin. She happily picked up. "Zhao,"

"Shiya, where are you? We are here at the party but you're no where in sight." Qingnuan said over the phone.

The hope in her heart diminished, "I'll be there soon, we're held still here because of traffic."

"Alright," Qingnuan said.

Shiya dropped on the chair, "Where are you?"

Meanwhile, at a very expensive restaurant.

Zhaolin sat across Xueyan, smiling at her. She would occasionally turito him then look away.

"Are you uncomfortable here?"

She shook her head.

"We could go somewhere else."

Where else could they possibly go? He had already distanced their table far away from other eyes.

The waiters brought their food.

Ground Chicken Sloppy Joes : a light up version of an American classic open-faced on a slice of sourdough bread topped with a quick cucumber and onion pickle. There was chicken soups, rice accompanied by garnished turkey wings.

She really thought all these wasn't necessary, she had heard that the expensive restaurant had the least sweet food.

His phone started ringing again, but this time he picked up. And a bright smile appeared on his face.

"Daddy, where are you?"

"I'll be home soon,"

"Where are you, I asked."

Xueyan listened with rapid attention.

He was smiling so brightly. He must love his boy, so much.

"You don't have to worry, I'll be back in thirty minutes."

"Promise?" Zhihao asked over the phone.

He nodded. "Meanwhile, Shiya has been trying to call."

"Ok," the expression on his face was unreadable. No emotion attached.

He hung up and smiled at her. "Eat,"

Twenty minutes later, they were done. Xueyan had purposely picked on the food. He needed to get home to his family.

They exited the restaurant, and cold breeze watched over her.

She shrank back into the jacket, tightening it around her.

"Are you cold?" Zhaolin asked.

She shook her head and straightened up, she didn't want to be seen as a weakling that couldn't do without a man's help. "I'm not."

"You're not good at lying." And collected the key from the bellboy. Once they were seated in the car, he turned the air conditioner off. Took her hand and rubbed it with his, to warm her up. "Xueyan,"

"It's okay, take me home now." She had spent enough time with him. She wanted to get home, and wrap her hands around the tiny frame of her daughter. She must be worried.

"I won't buy anything more for Qingran... Since you're against the idea. I'll respect your wishes."

"Thank you, that's actually a great news." She grinned at him, it didn't even change the form of her eyes.

"An insincere smile," he growled.

*****

"Did you speak to him?" Shiya asked.

"Yes," Zhihao answered.

"What did he say? Is he coming back?"

"Yes,"

"When?" She was so eager to know. Zhihao was in the middle of falling asleep when she barged in. It had taken her a lot of convincing to get Zhihao to call his father. The little boy was so arrogant, even if he was only adopted. Sometimes she would have the urge to scream to his face and get it into his head, that he was adopted... But the end result would be devastating... If Zhaolin found out, no one would be able to save her. And everything she had worked hard for would easily disappear.

"I don't know,"

"Thank you," she smiled and tried to touch his full cheeks, he tilted his head avoiding her touch.

"Don't!" He lay on his bed and shut his eyes.

Such an arrogant boy. She wondered how he was able to acquire Zhaolin's features, character and everything else.

She went out and closed the door, behind her. Went to her room to get dressed.

She dressed in a pink dinner gown, and applied make up on her face. Her eye bags were beginning to grow by the day. She couldn't sleep anymore at night. His thoughts occupied her mind.

And then it would drift to Bai Xueyan. The day the two would meet. She feared what would happen. Will he go back to her? Would he still want her? And the biggest question she dreaded the answer to, if he still likes her...

Will he say yes? Or will he say it's all in the past?

She closed her eyes and took deep breaths. They should never meet! Never!

She went over to his room, and picked a light pink matching suit. It would go well with her dress.

Her phone rang again, and it was Cui Yao this time.

She quickly explained that they running late, because Zhaolin had stopped at a store to get gift for her father.

"Oh my, brother Zhaolin is so thoughtful." Cui Yao said.

Shiya smiled bitterly, if only it was true. "Yes he is."

"People are still coming, you should be here soon. At least, better late than never."

"Sure," the sadness overwhelmed her.

Zhaolin where are you please?

Xueyan waved him off, forgetting the jacket on her shoulder she entered the elevator.

Once it beeped, Qingran ran into her legs.

She smiled and lifted the little girl. "How are you?"

"Fine," Qingran answered.

"Who owns the jacket?" Yuxi who was resting at the door of their room asked.

Xueyan could only show her white teeth.
