Chapter 18: Chaos Dwelling

Akash looked at Ancestor Tiger as he turned into ash and vanished in thin air. Akash bowed one last time and looked at the gem.

It was glowing with a white light, with an irregular core inside of it. Strangely enough though, it felt like something was moving inside the gem, almost as if it was alive.

Akash took a closer look and was shocked, his eyes widened, he gulped the saliva down his throat and licked his dried lips and spoke in disbelief.

"How... how is this... possible?"

He saw a solar system, an entire solar system in that gem, planets were moving in their respective orbit.

As he focused more on the gem, his bewilderment only grew. He saw more than one star and planets were orbiting around each of them, making up multiple separate solar systems.

Akash uttered in a gasping manner.

"This isn't just a solar system… It's a whole galaxy!"

Akash Tagar's brain was flooded with questions. While he was amidst thoughts, he heard a familiar voice.

*beep*

[ The King must move forward towards the 2nd evolution. The King's questions can only be answered by The Owners ]

Akash looked at the screen and asked.

"Where should I go then?"

[ The King must take this Chaos Dwelling gem and eat it ]

Akash was still looking at the dazzling gem with a twinkle in his eyes. He took a deep breath and swallowed the gem.

Unlike the pain before, Akash only felt ferocity inside his dwelling.

As if he had gotten the instincts of a savage beast and his dwelling was filled with barbaric creatures.

Akash started to suffocate and choke causing him to cough multiple times. His breathing became irregular. He felt a sudden surge of cosmic energy inside his Star Dwelling making him feel as if his body was about to explode.

He sat in a lotus position and closed his eyes to meditate.

~ 3 Months later ~

Akash opened his eyes and looked at his hands. His nails grew into claws and his golden hair had grown to reach his waist.

The foul smell Akash got from absorbing the blood of Ancestor Tiger was gone.

*beep*

[ The King has successfully evolved his Star Dwelling to a Chaos Dwelling ]

Akash checked his new Chaos Dwelling, after a single beep, his heart skipped a beat. He didn't know what to say, he was dumbfounded.

A dwelling is the colourless core of a tamer. When a person opened all of their 7 channels, their heart would mix with the cosmic powers, thus changing their previously colourless core into a Star Dwelling. A dwelling was an inner space of a tamer, it had two functions. The first function was as the home of the tamer's contracted beasts while the second function was as a container for the tamer's cosmic powers. When a tamer breaks through a realm, his Star Dwelling expands and generates more cosmic powers for the tamer to use.

In his previous life, Akash read in ancient scrolls that the maximum size a dwelling could expand into was that of a planet. Only a few recorded masters of the Star God realm in the history of his Fairy World ever expanded their Star Dwelling to the size of a planet.

What surprised Akash Tagar was that his Chaos Dwelling was gold in colour and was already the size of a planet. He could see the forests, mountains, valleys and ocean in his dwelling and the more fascinating fact was that he was still only at the 1st Star realm.

Akash asked himself

"Would I be correct in assuming that I'll eventually be able to expand my Chaos Dwelling to the size of a galaxy, just like Ancestor Tiger?"

*beep*

[ The King is correct. A Chaos Dwelling cannot be compared to a Star Dwelling. It would be like comparing a grain of sand to an entire desert. ]

Akash was startled by this, however, he continued after calming himself.

"What would you advise me to do now, System?"

[ The King must go to the second grounds of the Owner and complete his 2nd evolution. The gate to the second grounds is behind the stone settee. ]

Akash started to walk while snapping his fingers during which he observed his now black nails. His instincts told him that he could retract them at will which he did, with minimal focus. Now they were indistinguishable from normal nails. His figure was even more attractive than before along with his blue eyes and muscular physique. After changing his hair into a top knot, he moved forward.

While passing by the stone settee, he thought of Ancestor Tiger and reaffirmed his resolve.

"I'll never forget my promise, Ancestor."

Akash arrived at the second gate. Unlike the first gate, it was shaped just like a wing of a giant bird while emitting the colours of the rainbow. He couldn't feel or smell anything on it. Regardless, he didn't waste any more time and entered the gate.

As Akash entered the gate he felt as if he had stepped into a small pool. He felt water beneath his feet yet his feet were not wet at all. He looked to the front where he could only see fog.

Akash didn't know where to go, he looked behind, but the gate was no longer there.

He saw colourful clouds when he looked upwards.

"Is this an illusion?"

Akash thought to himself but unlike before the System didn't respond.

He saw something coming from the clouds resembling the aurora borealis. And soon enough, he could see a majestic bird descending towards him. It was not huge like Ancestor Turtle or Ancestor Tiger.

Its colourful body was small, only around 50 meters, and with a face resembling a sparrow, decorated with a crown of feathers on its head with hazel eyes, while its wings were 100 meters each. They didn't look like physical feathers rather more like the bird had manipulated the laws to form the wings.

"Come forth, my child."

Akash heard a mild voice, a voice so beautiful that Akash forgot everything for a second. And stepped forward unconsciously.

The bird landed on the mysteriously wet surface whilst the fog covered its body. However, after the fog cleared, a naked woman could be seen instead.

She personified the definition of beauty.

Her long hair, like a mosaic of colours, covered her round breasts on her soft voluptuous body. Whereas her pale skin was shimmering like the moonlight contrasted by her scarlet lips like a strawberry in milk. Yet, Akash was mesmerized by her hazel eyes flickering with hints of sapphire.

Akash was staring at her with his mouth agape. She was more beautiful than any woman he had ever seen in either of his lives, including his dreams.

His wild instincts, inherited through Ancestor Tiger's blood and Chaos Dwelling, kicked in. Akash's pupils contracted, nails grew into claws and even his Ambassador stood at attention. Akash couldn't control his urge to merge and was ready to jump on her.

But before he could move, the bird-woman simply snapped her fingers but for Akash, it was a loud cracking thunderclap.

After coming back to his senses, he kneeled and smashed his forehead on the floor.

"I am sorry, Ancestor! I couldn't control myself. I am ready to accept any punishment!"

She smiled and replied.

"Stand up, I know you didn't do it on purpose. It is I, who should be apologizing. I was checking if you had inherited that damned cat's legacy or not."

Akash stood back up but his hands were still cupped in respect and head lowered as he did not want to look at her directly, out of embarrassment and his cobra still at the ready.

"My name is Dawn but only my husband is allowed to call me that, as for you, my child, call me Ancestor Sparrow."

"Certainly, Ancestor Sparrow!"

Akash replied

"So, what did Sabretoo…"

"Ancestor, could you do me a small favour?"

Akash interrupted before Ancestor Sparrow could finish.

"Sure, you can ask. I shall do it if it is within my power."

"Could you please turn back into your beast form, Ancestor Sparrow?"

Akash Tagar tried to sound indifferent.

"Pfft."

Ancestor Sparrow started laughing loudly.

"Haha, alright, alright, I will revert to my original form. It's nice to see that you don't have a sullied soul like that Sabretooth."

The fog covered her body as she turned back into a beautiful Sparrow.

Akash slightly tilted his head and looked at her. After confirming, Akash stood up.

"Thank you, Ancestor. You may continue now, I apologise for interrupting you earlier."

The Sparrow looked at Akash's body and commented.

"I despise him."

Akash was startled.

"Despise whom, Ancestor?"

The Sparrow narrowed her beautiful hazel eyes and replied.

"Who else other than that Proud Sabretooth?"

Akash didn't know what to say.

"Weren't all of them friends whose cosmoses were destroyed by the other Primordial Beasts?"

Akash murmured in his mind.

Sparrow read his mind and retorted.

"Who said we were friends?"

Akash flinched at the fact that this beast could also use telepathy and forced his mind to not wander.

"Do you want to know how it all happened?"

Akash looked at her and nodded his head without saying anything.
