Chapter 53: Lone Black Dragon

From afar, Black Dragon was watching it all and tried to find his commanders. Unfortunately for him, as he left the battlefield to attack Mamba and Akash, One-Eyed Wolf and his beasts had already killed them one by one. He looked at Akash with eyes full of hatred and spoke.

"I'll make you pay for this!"

Akash replied.

"You have lost your people now, why not just stop this fight and join us as well?"

Dragon retorted.

"I won't bow to you like that traitorous snake, I'll kill you and turn the tide back in my favour! You cannot keep negating all the damage I'm dealing to you, that healing ability of yours has to have a limit like all others."

Akash sighed.

"I will not ask you again."

Dragon growled.

"There was no point to it, to begin with."

The dragon bellowed to the sky, this time the roar was different. It was not aimed at Akash and others in the aims of striking fear in their heart, but rather, it seemed to be calling for something or someone. Akash curiously squinted his eyes. From above, something was coming at high speed, causing everyone to look towards the sky.

~FARAFARAFARAFARA~

Their eyes widened as what they saw was a meteor, engulfed in scorching flames. A 100-meter-wide meteor, directed towards the army of One-Eyed Wolf. Akash looked at the dragon in anger.

"Your opponent is me!"

The dragon chuckled in return.

"Haha, everyone here is my enemy now. As for you, even if I can't hurt you, I can harm those around you. You may have the ability to revive but I doubt the same will play to them!"

The meteor was about to hit the army when suddenly…

~AWOOOOOOOOH~

One-Eyed Wolf howled, shaking the ground. The hordes of beasts scattered, and a giant hand rose from the ground to intercept the falling meteor.

"I won't let you kill anyone else!"

Black Dragon roared.

"Just try it!"

The meteor was hit while still in mid-air, cracking into many smaller pieces, which scattered and continued their descent. These small meteorites fell onto the fields like a blistering bullet storm from the heavens, easily piercing the beasts in their trajectory.

The beasts cried in pain, some died immediately while others were only heavily injured, although it was unclear which was the worse scenario. The wolf was watching helplessly as his people were massacred one after another, causing him to yell out in absolute rage.

"You danmed dragon!"

The perpetrator only guffawed in glee while Akash flew towards him furiously. The dragon saw this and opened his mouth to perform another deadly beam, his mouth glowed with blazing lightning like before. But this time Akash arrived in time and gave him a solid uppercut, with a loud thudding sound, the dragon's mouth was forcefully closed.

In return, Black Dragon swung his claw, however, Akash dodged it and then slashed his arm, giving him a deep cut. The reptile roared again to stun Akash and used his spatial skill to create some distance between them.

By now, he was already exhausted after using so many high-powered skills. His cosmic powers were nearly all used up, not to mention the physical toll his body had taken on as well.

"Black Dragon has already decided to die today, he will take as many of his enemies down together with him as he can."

Red Mamba stated.

Seeing the rage of Akash Tagar, the dragon opened his mouth once again and a huge void circle was formed. Much bigger than the previous two, he shot it towards the army again as Akash warned them.

"Watch out!"

The beasts ran away, leaving a small group of humans behind. Haji Tea and the rest were there. After Akash had ordered them to help One-Eyed Wolf, they had stayed there, waiting for further orders. Hearing the warning of Akash Tagar, Haji declared.

"We must face this attack, we won't die but we will save the other beasts from dying."

"I shall go."

Baghi Tea stated and flew towards the void ball, before throwing his spear at the void. Unfortunately, it simply vanished in it without any hint of halting it. Then, Baghi gathered every bit of his cosmic powers into his fist, making a visibly blurred punch and socked the void ball.

~VOOOM~

The void ball got destroyed, reverberating throughout the surroundings. Baghi was still standing in mid-air, half of his body eviscerated. His body shivered as he fell whilst the healing process began.

Haji and the Tea family flinched as Baghi still couldn't stand up despite fully healing. Soon, the clouds gathered in the sky, with clapping lightning. Zaheer Seth's eyes widened.

"Thunder Turbulence!"

A thunder turbulence occurred when a tamer was about to break through to a higher moon or realm unexpectedly, often caused by an extreme emotional state that forces the cultivator to advance as opposed to a normal breakthrough in cultivation.

"What!"

Haji Tea shouted in shock.

"Protect him! He is about to breakthrough to a new stage and will be vulnerable during the whole process!"

Razi Tea declared.

"Don't worry, he can revive even if he dies."

Hasnain Seth said calmly.

*beep*

[If a tamer has called forth a turbulence, they cannot be revived if killed during the breakthrough.]

Everyone turned silent.

"Umm... sorry, he can't. We should protect him."

Hasnain corrected himself.

Following which, everyone circled around Baghi Tea while lightning flashed in the sky and thunder roared, piercing everyone's ears.

"Father, you must hang on!"

Momi Tea, elder son of Baghi Tea, urged his father on. Even though he was afraid of his father and didn't talk much with him, there was no son who didn't love his father, especially when one was a hero-like figure.

Suddenly, blinding white lightning fell. Baghi looked at it and observed it as if time had stopped for him before it finally struck his body, as a literal thunderclap resounded. Alas, it wasn't a single instance, rather, it struck his body multiple times in a row, scorching it. During this, Baghi's vision blurred as his eyes closed.

"Baghi, don't close your eyes, maintain your consciousness!"

Zaheer and the rest kept yelling at Baghi but the latter could no longer hear their voices as he had already lost consciousness.

In this state, he saw a ray of light in a dream, a warm soothing light. It felt so comforting that he was already slowly approaching it.

"So… tired, perhaps… it's already time for me to rest…"

Then suddenly, an arm tapped his shoulder from behind, making him look behind, where he saw an old man with a white dress and a long white beard. His body froze as tears fell from his eyes.

"Gra... grandfather!"

Baghi muttered, trying to hold in his sobs.
