"What's special about Abran?"
Akash asked and both pondered for a moment before replying.
"Our city was the biggest business center in our province, numerous organizations made their headquarters or branches in our city."
Akash hmmed.
"Is there anything else? Something that the other cities lacked?"
There was a brief moment of silence. Shehneel wanted to say something but hesitated and thought to remain silent. However, Akash caught sight of that slight reaction and asked him.
"Earl Shehneel, what is it?"
He gave a fake smile before replying.
"Haha, I just thought of something but it won't get us out of this situation."
"Say your piece."
Akash ordered and Shehneel cleared his throat before stating his thoughts.
"My Liege, I thought that the reason could be because Abran is located at the very end of the province, connected to two other provinces as well."
Akash raised his one brow and pondered while Baghi Tea chimed in.
"That would not benefit Chand in the slightest, it would only bring undesirable results to him."
"And why is that?"
Akash asked.
"My Liege, the government of this planet has made strict law for the separation of powers. One province can never interfere in the matters and business of another. Only government officials can meddle in each province. Chand Gandraf is a businessman now, so he cannot do anything outside this province."
Baghi explained.
"What if he does?"
Baghi narrowed his eyes and replied.
"The government would erase his entire family and that's just the lightest punishment of breaking the law."
Akash thought of something and asked.
"Is there another slave market on this planet?"
"No, My Liege. It's the only one."
Baghi answered. Akash was continuing to ask questions one after another before Zaheer bowed and added.
"Pardon my rudeness, My Liege, but I believe this issue regarding the province is impossible. Those government bastards are all powerful and selfish. Once one joins them, they turn their back on their family and never look back. They pick and train young talents from a very early age and brainwash them into loyal puppets. Even with the amount of money Chand has, he couldn't bribe the government.
Akash took a deep sigh and massaged his temples.
"Alright, you can go now."
The trio followed their liege's order and vanished, leaving Akash with visible worry on his face.
"I think my hunch is wrong, they shouldn't be focusing too much on this weak planet. Sigh, there are many planets out there, perhaps I'm just overthinking it."
Akash stretched his arms and prepared to train his Tyrannical Body of Gods skill.
<1st Tier Slave City>
There was a huge 200-story skyscraper in the middle of the city. Two old men and an old lady were sitting at a round table located on the top floor. All three of them were at the Star King realm, emanating a domineering aura.
"Chand, you should have sent some more powerful assassins. I knew from the beginning that Death Gate would fail. What should we do now?"
The aged female wearing a black gown spoke. Her name was Marvi Sins, she was the governor of the Iskardu Province.
~Suurrrpp~
An old man dressed in a full noble suit was drinking his tea, his head half bald with only the sides and back covered. He was the governor of the Baaz Province, known by the name Imdad Siyal. After putting his cup of tea down, he replied to the old lady.
"We still have time, that troublesome Baghi is dead and we have confirmed it as well. I couldn't feel his presence when I sneaked into Abran. His family was weeping and holding a funeral for him."
This was all planned by Akash Tagar. He had ordered Shehneel to give false reports but the weeping and crying was real. Many people had really lost their loved ones in that attack. Akash just told them to put the names of Baghi, Momi and Haji in the list of the deceased. So far, the plan worked splendidly, the personal scouts of these bigshots were waiting outside the city. They were strictly prohibited from being seen by anyone.
The Governor of the Baaz province looked at the 2nd man with a side-eye, a man of around 1.5-meters-tall. He was slim with grey hair and a trimmed moustache.
Imdad continued.
"Haha, who would have thought that you would plot to kill the grandson of your precious late friend."
The moustached man was Chand Gandraf, he glared at Imdad and retorted.
"Don't cross your limits. We are here for our mutual benefits, not to taunt each other."
There was a round orb, at the center of the table. All of a sudden, the orb vibrated ferociously, startling everyone. They were all sitting on their seats courteously when a colourful burst of light came from it and a clear figure was formed from the light particles.
The figure was of the demon knight race, one of the few powerful races that have rivalled the God Race for countless ages. The man's torso was uncovered, revealing his skinny body with purple skin. He also had long black hair with two prominent small black horns on his forehead and sharp teeth.
"What happened to the task I've given to you all?"
"We're still in the process of completing it, Master Rasha."
Chand Gandraf answered with a respectful bow while the demon knight's eyes twitched.
"I see, keep it slow and steady. But if you are unable to accomplish it, then we will have to choose someone else. You begged us to subdue this tiny planet, thus we are not planning on backing off. So, either you do it or someone else will."
"No way, master. I'll definitely give this planet to you as a gift, just give me some time."
Chand begged him.
"I'll give you three years, do all you can to succeed in that time. I have high hopes for you... what was your name again?"
Rasha asked the mayor of Slave City.
"It's Chand Gandraf, master."
"Ahh, yes. I have high hopes for you, Chand. Do not disappoint me."
The figure said before vanishing back into the round mechanical orb.
"We must talk with the president."
Marvi suggested.
"I doubt the president will accept our proposal. He will likely just end up giving us a speech on morality."
Imdad replied.
"No need to tell him, we must takeover Abran quietly and covertly. If anybody finds out our involvement, then we'll have to deal with both the government and the Peace Protectors."
Chand said.
"If we had known before, we could have grabbed that deserted city much earlier. By the time Slave Planet accepted our request, that danned Tea Family had already sent their so-called genius to be the mayor of Abran."
Imdad expressed his anger.
"Keep calm, that brat is also dead with his grandfather Baghi."
Marvi said.
"Let's wait for the tournament then. After that, we will issue a contract to the Dark Moon organization. They have three people at the Star Prince realm. With Baghi Tea dead and no suitable successor, the Tea family is doomed."
Chand replied while Imdad took another sip of tea before changing the topic.
"My scouts have reported something suspicions."
"What?"
Chand asked.
"They told me that the Tea family has already resumed the construction process. For a family whose heroic elder and young genius were suddenly assassinated, they sure are resuming their work quickly."
The trio pondered for some time before Chand spoke.
"Let them build, they will just lessen our work in reestablishing Abran. If anything goes wrong, I'll fabricate some reason and personally slaughter them."
He looked at the duo of Marvi and Imdad.
"We must focus working on the infrastructure of the hidden passages linking the three provinces."
"Yes, I'll go for now. Call me when I'm needed."
Marvi stated before standing up.
"I have some work to do too. Thanks for the hospitality."
Imdad said as he put the teacup back on the table and went on his way.
After everyone left, Chand floated down to the first floor and went to a strange room. He clapped his hands and a glass box came out of the wall, with buttons. He inserted the password and the floor opened in half, revealing stairs leading to the basement.
As Chand went inside, there were a myriad of traps which all needed a password. Soon enough, the mayor reached the very bottom. There was a man entrapped in many chains, surrounded by some people who were healing him with their Life Law.
Chand waved his hands and they moved to the sides, then Chand expanded his hand and small knives of wind were formed.
~SWOOOSH~
They all slashed at and dug into the body of the prisoner, giving him uncountable cuts. After that, he took a bowl from a stool, grabbed a fistful of some powder and threw it towards the wounded prisoner. His cries reverberated throughout the basement as he jerked in pain before eventually passing out.
"Every single day, I'll make you suffer. The memories of my lost son still ache my heart... You killed my beloved son just because he fucked your slutty wife!"
He looked at the dying man and signaled the healers who resumed their work right away. The man in chains was none other than The Hero of Humanity, God of Guns, Erwin Cloude.
