Chapter 96: No Eye could Catch

While Akash looked at the black man, he noticed that he had a well-built body. His lips were thick and eyes small. He was a descendant of an ancient African tribes with short but curly black hair. Akash checked his profile along with his Prime Paladins.

[Name: Sol Invictus

Realm: 2nd Moon, Star Prince

Aptitude: Lower Legendary-Grade

Learnt Laws: Martial Law, Ice Law, Light Law, Divine Law.

Inborn Laws: Time Law (Awakened)]

Riassuba Rosehip was a different person now, his smiling face was nowhere to be seen. His eyes were not even blinking, Sol Invictus saw this as well. This made him angrier as his spatial ring glowed, and two axes came out. They were of the Legendary-Grade, surprising everyone. The cunning Riassuba smirked and raised his hand.

"Just a moment, honourable arbiter. This one has something to say."

The referee was confused, immediately asking for an explanation.

"Say what?"

Riassuba pointed at the axes and stated.

"The axes my opponent wields are the part of the bet, are they not? If he damages these valuable boons for us, I'd say we'd end up with the shorter end of the stick as victors. Would thee not agree?"

The referee pondered for a bit before nodding his head in agreement and then looked at the black man.

"Mr. Sol, kindly give us your weapons and that ring. The bet was everything owned, that includes them as well."

Sol Invictus hesitated a little as if was asking himself if this was all worth it. But alas, it was already too late. Riassuba caught that slight change in expression and smiled.

"Mr. Sol, are you sure you want to risk such a huge bet?"

The mayor of Slave City asked.

"Yes, Mr. Mayor. I'm sure."

Sol replied.

"You are an old client of ours, you know the rules well. If you lose, the bet must be paid. Otherwise, I will be forced to interfere."

Chand Gandraf reminded.

"I understand."

Sol answered before storing his weapons in his spatial ring before throwing it towards his room which was caught by an elder black man.

"Master Zach, please take care of them."

Sol said.

"You shouldn't cross your limits, Sol. We are not in Exdapa."

The slim elder warned.

"Don't worry, Master. You know me well, I don't do anything without careful consideration."

In turn, Akash and Haji looked at the new figure, the former felt a strange aura around him which slightly resembled the green-dressed lady in the golden room.

Before long, everyone's attention once again went towards the fight, the other fights had been stopped. Every camera was focusing on the sole arena, with 2 Star Prince tamers standing in it.

Two other axes were given to Sol Invictus, Medium High-Grade weapons. Only provided for the fights of golden card holders when asked for. The referee then asked Riassuba.

"What type of weapons do you need?"

"I merely require a pair of dirks."

He said with a smile, showing no tension at all. The referee arranged the requested weapons and gave them to Riassuba. Now that both were ready, the referee raised his arm before rapidly dropping it as if trying to slice through the air with it.

"START!"

~BOOOM~

The ground exploded the moment the referee started the fight. As the dust settled, a sole person could be seen in the vicinity of the explosion, shining in light white armour. Soon, everyone could clearly see the figure's face, the pervert family head, Sol Invictus.

The referee was about to stop him, but Chand intercepted.

"That's a skill, not an item A very unique armour in fact, called the Holy Bright Armour, made of the light attribute and strengthened by the Divine Law and talismans."

Sol Invictus banged his axes against each other, clearing the remaining dust. Immediately revealing the fallen figure of Riassuba, head bleeding. Even though Riassuba was special, his stage of cultivation was lower than his adversary's. Sol Invictus was not like Nasir Sin, his foundation was rock solid.

"You cocky bastards should've just given that boy toy away in peace. You had your chance and yet you still chose war. Now you'll pay for that arrogance."

Sol commented as he moved forward.

"A moment please, o' herculean paragon. This lowly esse will surrender to thee on one measly condition."

Riassuba knelt as he stated this, shocking everyone. Not worried about any possible ploys, Sol took the bait and inquired.

"What condition?"

"Thou must spare myself, my slave and everything that belongs to us. Then, we shall pledge ourselves to thee."

Riassuba stated.

"Then let me test you."

Sol uttered as he swung his axe at full power, cutting through space and air before falling on the head of the kneeling assassin.

~WHOOOOOSH~

The axe dug 1 centimeter into Riassuba's head before stopping. Sol was trying to see if there would be even a sliver of hesitation or retaliation from him. If there was, then he would have simply chopped Riassuba in half. Yet surprisingly, the assassin accepted his death and didn't struggle, proving his resolve to Sol which prompted the latter to speak.

"I accept your condition, now surrender yourself before I change my mind and take your life."

Sol Invictus replied before turning, expecting to see the defeated face of Haji Tea, but instead he saw them bafflingly laughing.

"Why are they laughing? They should be afraid by now."

He pondered when, all of a sudden, Riassuba's presence vanished. Sol Invictus then quickly turned around only to see that no one was there before uttering his last word.

"Fuck…"

In the blink of an eye, he fell to the ground. A single dirk was stabbed into his throat, piercing his larynx while the other dirk was inserted into his ear which pierced through the rest of his head and exited through the other ear.

Riassuba adjusted his scarlet hair with his bloodied fingers. His crimson eyes and bloodied face made him look like a demon as he sighed prior to speaking to the newly dead Sol Invictus.

"If it's life you crave to take, then it's haste that you shall make."

Then he looked at the bewildered referee, horrifying him while wearing his signature smile. The referee didn't know what had happened. All he knew was that Sol Invictus turned to see his opponent's golden room and in the next moment, he fell with dirks in his throat and ears.

Despite it being a flawless victory, there was hardly any cheering or applause for the victor. No eye could catch his movements, and no one was aware of what had just occurred, even his own side. Except for Akash, of course, as he was the one who had given Riassuba this technique. However, even the king couldn't see it with his own eyes. Yet there was one person who clearly saw what happened, the infamous owner of Slave City, Chand Gandraf. Because of his superior realm, Riassuba's moves couldn't fool Chand.

Chand saw Riassuba transforming into a ball of darkness when Sol's attention was briefly removed from his opponent. Then, the former vanished while the ball fell into the ground before turning into blackish dust, dulling everyone's senses. After which, Riassuba's presence completely disappeared from the arena.

The next time he appeared was when he pierced his daggers into Sol Invictus, but something confused Chand Gandraf. The amount of speed Riassuba used was not normal, he believed that if such an attack was directed towards him, he wouldn't be able to come out unscathed if he was in a similar state.

Haji Tea quickly jumped down and started healing Riassuba Rosehip, Sohrab Khan also helped with his Water Law. The referee declared Riassuba Rosehip as the winner, after a long period of silence. Someone clapped and slowly the whole stadium was filled with applause for the winner. Rukh Haseen was still there with her mouth agape and the lady in green was similarly surprised.

The elder Zach then came down, looking at Haji Tea, busy healing Riassuba's bleeding head. He took out the ring that was thrown to him by Sol Invictus and gave it to Akash. He also took out a talisman from his personal spatial ring and gave it to Haji Tea.

"Use this talisman, it will hasten the healing."

Zach Invictus said. He was not just Sol's master but also his biological uncle.

"This will undoubtedly create chaos in the family. How should I deal with this…"

Zach murmured while leaving the Slave Arena.

"Where are you going, elder?"

Sacra Emilat inquired.

"I am returning home as I was not part of the bet. That ring is also a Legendary-Grade spatial ring with tremendous wealth for someone like you. Spend it well."

He replied.

"Did you come here alone?"

Akash asked.

"Uhh, ehm... no. Why?"

He hesitated before asking for the reason.

"Did you come here with him?"

Akash asked again while pointing at the dead body of Sol.

"Yes, I did, but don't even dare to count me in the bet. I'm a member of the Rune Mountain Sect!"

Zach Invictus boldly said. Akash didn't say anything and looked at Chand Gandraf. For the first time, Chand Gandraf was worried as a drop of sweat ran down his cheek before he murmured.

"This cagey little cunt."

Chand Gandraf was unsure of what to do. If he was to enforce the bet, then he'd have to answer to the Rune Mountain Sect. They treasured their rune masters more than anything and didn't hesitate to avenge them no matter what. On the other hand, if he let Zach go, his whole business could crumble, made of thousands of gamblers and tamers. Once they saw how he bent his own laws to save someone, they would surely stop coming to this city.
