Chapter 108: Next Day

The day passed quickly into the next one. Akash was in front of the TV, watching the anchor speak on the news.

"Breaking News! The mayor of Rosehill City was found dead at his rented room in Slave City. He had gone with two young talents to participate in the 3rd tier tournament but lost. Maybe he committed suicide after seeing such a one-sided loss? Additionally, we've also been informed that all the male administrators and workers in a Rosehill City orphanage were killed seemingly out of nowhere.. Are these deaths only a coincident or is there something more to it? To discuss it, I have invited Rosehill City's mayor's son. So what exactly happe..."

~PIIZZYYU~

Akash turned off the television, he was wearing expensive and well-made clothes.

"Thank you, Mr. Akash."

A faint and pleasant voice came from his side. Akash pivoted his face and saw that Mehak was standing at the door.

"Hmm, for what?"

Akash acted none the wiser.

"Nothing…"

Mehak didn't press further instead she smiled with watery eyes and went back into her room. In turn, Akash was still there amazed.

"This woman, why can't I guess her answers?"

"Wait."

Akash said to her. By that time, she was already in her room, so she popped her head back out and asked.

"Do you need something?"

"No, go and see your sister."

Akash said without looking at her. Mehak gasped, she couldn't believe what she had just heard. She asked again to confirm.

"Did you say my sister is here?"

"Yes, she is in that room."

Akash said and signaled her towards a specific room as Mehak gradually went towards it. She touched the slightly open door and moved it further, wherein she saw a young girl sleeping peacefully. She had a dark skin tone and beautiful short brown hair.

Mehak immediately covered her face with both her hands, the dam of her eyes broke and brought forth a surge of tears.

In a moment, she turned back to thank Akash again, but the handsome hunk was no longer there. He had already gone out and noticed his 5 lords waiting for him. He looked at Riassuba and nodded in approval before the latter bowed in response.

Akash had ordered Riassuba to take care of the orphanage. After the God Assassin searched and couldn't find anything special that needed his personal involvement, he instructed his subordinates to do the work instead, remaining at his king's side. Led by Neon Riassuba and Shehneel Shodo, Death Gate fulfilled Akash's orders.

Together, all of them went to the stadium and waited for the fight to start. While there, a youth caught Akash's attention as he stared at him, and that person stared back. It seemed as if that youth was keeping an eye on him after to the events in the first day of the tournament. That person made a death sign while looking at Akash, the king squinted his eyes and muttered

"Measly fool."

That young man understood what he said through reading his lips and replied similarly.

"We will see."

Akash opened his profile.

[Name: Miono Randi

Realm: 3rd Moon, 5th Star

Aptitude: Upper-High Grade

Learnt Laws: Martial Law, Wind Law

Inborn Laws: Fire Law (Awakened) ]

Akash was impressed by his aptitude but was displeased with his attitude. A little ways away from Miono stood a man that exuded intelligence and poise. He had a katana around his waist as his face portrayed a clam demeanor. However, it didn't feel just like any calm, but rather one before a terrifying storm was unleashed.

He looked at his fellow tamer Miono with a side-eye and instructed him.

"Stop it."

"Haha, come on, Olaf. Let me tease this guy that's been called the dark horse before he's even proven himself."

Miono insisted.

The calm guy looked at Akash and as the king felt his gaze, he looked back at him. Their eyes met and there was no sign of disrespect, Akash also understood that Olaf was no ordinary tamer. As for Olaf, he was quite shocked. He felt strangely intimidated by Akash Tagar as feelings of death and terror rose up in him. Yet, Olaf's impressively controlled his expression, not allowing anyone to witness his inner turmoil. As such, he only revealed his admiration as he had grasped that Akash deserved the title of the dark horse before touching his sword.

"Don't be mistaken, Miono. This man only made this tournament more interesting, we will show him our powers."

Akash sensed an evil aura from that sword and opened the profile of this youth.

[ Name: Olaf Adcon

Realm: 3rd Moon, 5th Star

Aptitude: Medium-Legendary Grade

Learnt Laws: Martial Law, Wind Law, Blood Law

Inborn Laws: Divine Law (Awakened), Evil Law (Awakened) ]

Akash was shocked as he stared at the man with widened eyes.

"That's a talent that only comes along once in a million years in the whole cosmos. He doesn't look old as well. I would've never thought there would be humans of such caliber."

At that very moment, Akash decided to recruit him into Ancestor Law Enforcement at any cost. After which, he asked Haji Tea.

"Which team is that?"

Haji looked and replied.

"My Liege, that is one of the cities with a high chance of winning. They are called by the name of Ancholi City and they are our neighbours."

"Neighbours?"

Akash asked to confirm again.

"Yes, My Liege. They are from our district, but were disqualified in the semi-finals from the last tournament."

Haji Tea replied before Akash pointed at the youth in their team and asked.

"Who is that guy with the sword?"

Haji squinted his eyes and replied after a while.

"I believe that's Olaf."

Akash looked at him with an annoyed face and spoke.

"Will you honour me with the details, Lord Haji?"

"Oh, haha, I'm sorry, My Liege. He is the adopted son of the mayor, a genius from a young age. He and his sword were the cause behind Ancholi City's spot in the semi-finals, but the mayor forfeited. He didn't want him to face those true monsters there. But it has been three years already since then. The current Olaf is many times stronger than he was before."
