"I didn't know you had company," Valerian said sarcastically.

"I do." She replied.

"Do you mind if I join?" Valerian added.

Hailey was too shocked to answer, at what game was he playing at.

"No, we don't mind," Alex replied.

"I wasn't asking you I was asking Hailey." Valerian retorted,

"But she is in my company so technically you are."

Hailey felt herself freeze what was going on right now, in her world of crazy. Where they have a go at it. She had never anticipated this to happen. What was she going to do? Should she allow Valerian?

"Let's go in!" she snapped at the both of them, and they stopped bickering.

Valerian took a seat where Alex was sitting, and he knew that they were sitting by the big couch. Alex sat by a single couch.

"I will go get you some wine," Hailey said. She didn't know if it was a good idea to leave them alone but she needed some air and to pull herself together. Hailey came back with the wine and gave it to Valerian.

"Thank you, Hailey."

"You are welcome."

Hailey realized that she had left the remote in the kitchen and she went back to fetch it. When she came back she felt her hand being yanked, she fell on Alex's lap. "Perfect you can now play the movie," Alex whispered in her ear.

"She isn't sitting on top of you," Valerian growled.

"She is." Alex retorted.

Hailey got up, "That's enough. Alex go sit next to Valerian now."

Alex sat next to Valerian and Hailey sat in the single couch. She played the movie. She felt a pair of eyes on her and she snapped to them, "The t.v is right there so please can we watch the movie."

Both Valerian and Alex blushed and they focused on the movie and Hailey sunk into her thoughts. She bit her lip when she remembered her kiss with Alex a few moments ago, She had let Valerian come in because she didn't know if she could stop herself, in terms of restraint and she wanted far more from him. She shook her head, "Focus Hailey!"

She saw Valerian and Alex were looking at her with befuddled looks on their faces.

"Sorry I just remembered I didn't finish something at work."

"It's okay, we will sort it out at work."

"Do you need help?" Valerian chimed in.

"No its fine, nothing that I can't handle," Hailey replied sheepishly.

The movie finished and no-one was budging from the living room and Hailey was wondering what more they wanted from her.

"It's late and I think you guys should head home."

Both Alex and Valerian got up from her couch and they followed her to her door. She let them out. She hugged Valerian and sent him off. She watched his drive away and felt a pang of sadness. She pushed it away and turned to focus on the man that was standing in front of her.

She turned to Alex, "Thank you for today and all this, I had a lovely time."

Alex grinned at her, "I wish we could have finished what we had started."

Hailey blushed, "Yeah..." that's all she could say.

"But we have all the time in the world Hailey, I will wait for you," Alex replied sincerely.

"Thank you that means a lot and sorry that our date didn't go as planned."

"No it was great, sometimes you need to see your competition up-close and if it makes me understand why you felt for him then I might have a chance to persuade you to be mine."

Alex pulled her close into an embrace and she put her hands around his neck, she loved his scent so much. It was intoxicating her to a point of no return.

When he drew back, she didn't know what had gotten into her, she placed a soft kiss on his lips. Alex had also closed his eyes and was savoring her closeness and the taste of her lips. When she pulled back,
