Chapter 14 - 12 Forgiveness And A Test.

"Hmmmm?"

(It's been about three months since we defeated the orcs and a lot has changed.... you never know how much you miss flushing toilets until there gone) I thought as I walked down the half finished road.

(Turns out dad knew a lot about this kind of stuff. I wonder where exactly he is right now? There are things that I need to talk to him about) I looked around a bit while taking note of the orcs that were working on one of the new houses.

(They really are hard workers. It's nice to see that everything has worked out)

"Lady Suu" I heard a familiar voice behind me.

Turning around I saw the twins with Benimaru as well as two orcs that I instantly recognized. The first one was Geld the new orc king, he is also the son of the former orc lord.

And the second one is.....

=============Flashback===========

I was standing by myself just out side of the lizardmen base looking at the night sky. I was up because I was unable to sleep for some reason.

(If only it could always be this peaceful..... haha, yeah that'll never happen our luck is just not that good) I sat there for some time just watching the stars.

"....."

"You know it's not nice to just watch someone from the shadows!" I could sense that the person behind me flinched slightly.

"My apologies" a deep voice sounded out.

For some reason it sounded kind of familiar to me. I turned around to face who ever it was, you can imagine my surprise when I saw a very large orc kneeling down in front of me.

"Who...!" It took me a minute to recognize him and as soon as I did my aura started leaking out.

"How the hell are you alive?" I asked in anger and confusion.

The orc in front of me was the orc that had made me go on a rampage, the same orc that trapped me in that damn purple smoke.

"I have the fire resistance skill" he said while looking at the ground.

(Of course he fuċkɨnġ does) my anger started to increase sharply making my aura even more violent.

(I should just kill him) my vision had slowly started turning red as I looked at him.

(I should....)

(I.....) I began to remember how Rimuru had spared the orcs and how I had already killed so many of them.

(No! I will not let my emotions control me again) I slowly started to calm down and as I did my aura also vanished.

"Why are you here?" I asked as calmly as I could.

"I.... I wished to apologise to you" this took me off guard.

"Because of my actions a massive amount of my people were killed" I could hear the sadness in his voice as he continued.

"I have also come here to ask that you take your anger out upon me. It is my own fault not theirs, so please do not blame my people for my actions" at this point my anger had completely vanished.

(What should I do? It's not like my hands are clean, in fact I probably killed more of them then they did of us) I let out a long breath as I cleared my mind.

"You have nothing to be ashamed of!"

"Huh? Bu-but I-" however before he could finish I cut him off.

"No buts. All you did was fight for yours and your people survival, the same thing we all did. It was a battle after all and besides it's not like my hands are clean either"

As soon as I finished talking I turned around and began to slowly start walking away. However I was stopped when I heard the orc quickly get to his feet.

"Please wait one minute"

"Hmmm?" I turned around to face him again.

"Please allow me to do something to earn your forgiveness. I know you have hatred towards me but you still spared me even after what I did..... so please allow me the chance to earn your forgiveness" he said while bowing his head.

(Can I really forgive him.... after what he did? Can it really be that simple?) I then remembered back to how Benimaru had forgiven all the orcs even after they killed all his people.

"Sigh" I let out a long sigh as i looked up at the night sky.

"What's your name?" I asked still looking up.

"I do not have one. I am not worthy to received one" he responded quickly.

".......Kuro!"

"Huh?" I looked back down at him to see that he was looking at me with a confused expression on his face.

"Your name. It's Kuro" his confusion turn to surprise.

"But why..... why are you giving me a name?" He asked in a shaky voice.

"Simple, you are going to have to get stronger if you want to earn my forgiveness" I said with a small smile.

"I..... I swear that one day I will be worthy of your kindness" he said as a white light engulfed his body.

Several seconds had passed before the light died down to reveal his new body. His fur had turn completely black and his lower canines had grown bigger. His fingers had turned into sharp claws and his overall size had increased to about three and a half metres tall. However the most surprising thing were the two curved black horns that came out of the back of his head.

I activated my eyes and checked his status to find out his new race. To my surprise he had turned into an Abyssal Demon Orc.

"Thank you for this opportunity" his voice had slightly changed now sounding more demonic.

"Don't make me regret it"

===========Flashback over===========

"Lady Suu?" Hearing Yins voice I realized that I had just been standing there looking at them with out saying anything.

"Sorry I was thinking about something" I rubbed the back of my head awkwardly.

"Got something on your mind princess?" I could only grown at Benimaru's new way of addressing me.

"Why do you keep calling me that? You have been doing it since the twins and Shion dressed me up" I could only shiver at the memory.

"Don't you like being a pretty princess?" he asked with a small chuckle causing me to glare at him.

(I'm going to kill him one of these days I swear it) I thought.

"Sigh. Anyway what are you lot up to?"

"Nothing much we were just talking about how well the town is coming along" Geld answered me.

"Oh alright. By the way do you know were my dad is? I need to talk to him and kaijin about something later"

"I believe that the lord left the village with Ranga for some reason" Kuro was the one to speak this time.

"Well I guess I will just have to wait for him then" there was a long awkward silence after I had finished speaking.

"Well Errrm I should be going now I guess"

"Where are you going lady Suu" Yang asked.

"I need to test out one of my skills, I was going to test it out awhile back but I was too busy helping out around town" I explained.

(Really being vice chancellor of an entire forest is really hard work) I sighed inwardly.

"Can we help?" Yin said while jumping up and down excitedly.

"Sure why not, I actually might need some help with this"

"Yay" the twins happily said at the same time.

I smiled at the two before glancing over at Kuro. Ever since I named him we have not interacted that much, in fact it wouldn't be a stretch to say that I've been avoiding him.

(I should probably get to know him better) I thought.

"Hey Kuro do you want to come with us?" I asked catching him off guard.

"Are you sure?"

"You don't have to if you don't want to" I respond.

"No. I-I would be honoured to accompany you" he said with a slight bow.

I just shook my head at his actions and started to walk away, not before waving goodbye to Geld and Benimaru. The twins and Kuro followed quickly behind me as I started heading towards the forest.

============Sometime later============

We had walk pretty far into the forest as I didn't want to be disturbed while I was running my tests. The twins and Kuro were behind me waiting for me to start.

"Okay so I've been meaning to test out this skill properly for a while now but I never had the chance because of all the work that I've had to do these past months" I explained.

"Which skill is it?" Yin asked curiously.

"My Sorrow skill" I responded back.

"To be precise there are two sub abilitys that I want to try out"

(I'm not going to try <Mental decay> as I don't want to hurt anyone) I thought to myself.

"So how do we get started my lady?" Kuro asked.

I had already tested <Emotional state> on the way here by increasing Yin's excitement, so I don't need to try it.

"Well first let's try this. Hey Yang could you spar with me for a sec?"

"Errm sure I g-guess" she shyly responded.

(Cute) was my only thought.

"You can do it Yang" Yin cheered while jumping up an down.

"Kuro tell us when we should start" I said as I pulled out Blue Ash and Yang pulled out her bow.

Kuro waited for a second for us to get ready before raising his arm upwards. After a second or two he flung his arm downwards signalling us to start.

As soon as the signal was given Yang made several <Exploding lances> and fired them at me. I quickly turned my body in tangible with <Flame body> to counter them.

However unlike what I was expecting one of the lances actually hit me. It felt like my body was burning which confused me even more. I looked back at Yang as the other lances exploded behind me and what I saw made me realise something.

"That was pretty smart" i smiled at her.

"T-thank you" she said with a slight blush on her cheeks.

Surrounding yang were several lances made of water. I was guessing that she learnt that on her own or maybe Rimuru had helped her.

<Water lance>

(Note to self <Flame body> does not work against water attacks) I took a mental note.

"Well guess that it is about time then" I said confusing Yang.

Her confusion increased when I suddenly split into twenty versions of myself that then started running at her. She quickly fired off all the water lances towards the group of mes, only for absolutely nothing to happen.

Before she could even react my scythe was already close to her neck. There was a long silence before I heard Kuro speak again.

"L-lady Suu is the winner" he announce apparently still stunned at what I did.

"Woooow that was so amazing. How did you manage to do that?" I laughed at Yin while putting my scythe back into the abyss.

"It's one of the sub abilitys of Sorrow, it's called <Mind illusion> and it allows me to make you see things that aren't really there" I explained

(A/N. It's basically a weaker version of the sharingan but the user does not have to look at you in the eyes for it to take effect)

"That's so cool" Yin said with stars in her eyes.

"I agree. That seems like it could be a very useful ability" Kuro nodded at his own words.

"You did great too yang, I wasn't expecting you to learn a water based skill" I said while patting her head which got me a happy smile from her.

"Well I guess we should try the nex-" I stopped talking when I suddenly felt someone appear behind me.

I turned around to see Souei walking up to us with a worried expression. I had a feeling that something was about to happen.

"Souei what happened?" Before I could ask Kuro beat me to it.

"You need to get back to the village now" Souei responded.

"Why?" The twins asked at the same time.

"Because the skys are filled with Pegasus Knights, they are all heading towards the town!" This took all of us by surprise.

"We should hurry back then" I heard Kuro say.

"....well you know that we will not be able to get back in time on foot right?" Everyone looked at me confused.

"That's true bu-" Kuro tried to say something but I cut him off.

"You know the reason why I came out all this way into the forest is because I didn't just want to test out my skill" a mischievous smile appeared on my lips as I walked away from them.

"Huh?" Was all they had chance to say before a massive pillar of black flames erupted around me.

They could only gulp loudly as they realized what I was planning to do.
