42 Chapter 40

"I am sorry but the Sandaime sama can't speak to you right now. HE is currently in a very important meeting with the village elders and clan leaders." Said the secretery.

"I see, it is that time of the year already" Anko said seriously. The secretery just gave a smile before going back to reading some documents. I felt as if I was out of the loop on what they were they were currently talking about. I had the ovious questions such as what time of the year were they talking about but I knew it was best if I did not ask such questions yet.

I was still just a child and besides it can't be that important. Speaking of the year, I am still 5 years old. I wonder if I can skip this go back to people with my age. I know that the anime and manga officaly start when naruto and the others become 12 years old meaning they graduate from this academy.

This could honestly help get away from the plot and get more expirence in fighting, more training with sparring partners and most importantly more time to seek quests.

All in all I have many things to do and very littile time and oppurunity to do them all.

I made list of things I needed to do within my mind:-

- Complete the path To Revenge 01 (Main Quest)

- Quickly catch up to the people my age in the academy

Although it may not seem much but both those things are time consuming. Especially the main quest, that is like five things mixed together and having to catch up to the people my age. Although I know how to do simple maths, I am no genius. I can't just remember everything just by looking at it once. I am no itachi or the girl.

True geniuses and this system is only useful when it comes combat knowledge. Military tactics and strategies are the only things that can give enough knowledge fast enough to use it, if it was other types of knowledge it would always take way too long plus it won't increase my intelligence or wisdom.

If it is something way too complicated for e to understand then it means I need a higher wisdom stat as well as intelligence stat. So I need to divide my time to training and trips to the library. This can have negative and positive impacts on my social life.

This would give me some privacy but at the same time it would also isolate me from my peers. "Gaki!!!" Anko shouted into my ear. I clutched my ear in pain and then gave her an annoyed glare.

"What? It's not my fault that you were spacing out." She said with slight grin. Ugh I get annoyed every time I see her face smiling or grinning.

"I am in no rush, so why are you? I ain't got a place to stay. I honestly have nothing to do." I lied. She looked a little sad before playfully punching my shoulder and said "Don't think too much about it gaki. When we are done here, you will have a place to stay."

"With that said, since the old man is in a very important meeting. Let's so somewhere to eat." Anko said before starting to walk downstairs. I quickly followed behind her as I said "Let go yakinuku q" I remember this place from my memories of naruto. I always wanted to heat the sizzling tantalizing barbecued meat especially after living in this world for 5 long years.

"No I am the one who is paying so I say we go the dango shop." Anko said loudly She suddenly turned around and grabbed my left shoulder violently before starting to run. She was so fast that I did not have enough time run alongside her and as a result I was dragged across the floor then the ground.

Unknown amount of time has passed

"Can dango even be considered a breakfast" Suddenly a pointy stick nearly pierced Mukai's ear as it missed by a mere millimeter and stabbed it self against the wall. "Say that again Gaki and next time I won't miss" Anko said very angrily. Mukai felt a sweatdrop on his forehead. Mukai felt as if this was quite comical, getting angry over something as food.

Mukai took a bite of off one of the dango in the stick and it was not as hyped up as Anko made it out to be. It had a rice like flavor but much more sweeter. Honestly the ramen was better than this. Mukai did not feel like eating the dango and Anko was staring at it, with drool coming out out the end of her mouth.

So Mukai just handed out his stick with two uneaten dango and a plate which had two other sticks of dango. Anko did not feel any guilt as she took them without any hesitation but when she heard Mukai's stomach grumbling she let out an embarrassed smile before putting down the entire dango stick into her mouth and putting her hands thorough her pockets seemingly searching for something.

Suddenly she let out a "I found it" expression before taking out a red box which showed chocolate covered stick biscuits called pocky. "Although this won't fill your stomach, i am sure this would be a great appetizer." She said still having that embarrassed smile. Mukai just raised a brow before reaching out his hand to take it.

"After we are done with talking to the old man, how about we get a proper meal." She still had that smile but this time without any embarrassment. Mukai just absent mindlessly noddded his head before opening the pocky box and taking out a pocky stick.

Mukai's POV

I opened the pocky box and took out a single pocky stick and slowly put into my mouth. My hands were slightly trembling as I placed it into my mouth. I don't know why my hands shook as it did but I felt that it was probably because it was something that Anko gave it so my body is naturally rejecting it.

I slowly chewed and it felt as if something in my brain suddenly awakened. the crunchiness and the sweetness in the stick balanced each other out giving a harmonious feeling to the taste buds which in turn allowed the brain access to sweet Nirvana.
