"Ama," Salsa called when she realized Dila's arrival. The little girl approached Dila and hugged her.
Bara hugged Shaka and Shakel. A sense of emotion engulfed Bara's heart. He was happy. He finally meets and hugs his three children. Despite his memory loss, the man had a premonition of having children as he had been experiencing nausea and vomiting for nine months.
"I love you" Clear beads fell from Bara's eyes. He was happy after finally get recognition as a father. "Starting from today, father will take care of you. I am sorry for leaving you for so long," Bara said while looking at Dila. He said the word 'leaving' to mock Dila.
Dila avoid Bara's eyes when the man looked at her sharply. Dila didn't know what to do with Bara. Honestly, she loves the man, but she is too proud to admit it after realizing that Bara already belongs to someone else. They had no chance to be together. There is the biggest obstacle in their relationship.
"I want to talk to you," Bara said coldly while looking at Dila.
Both of them walk to Bara's study. There were alone there. Bara left the triplets with Rere. He wanted to confront Dila for lying to him.
"What do you want to talk about?" Dila started to talk because they just sit silently and have not spoken to each other for a long time.
"I need your explanation," Bara replied coldly.
Dila shuddered at the man's attitude. She never thought Bara would talk to her like that. She feels awkward and odd.
"Speak Dila!"
"What should I say?"
"I ask you to confess your lie, then your only words is what should I say? How naive you are, Dila. After what happened to us, you still decided to lie. When we're stranded why don't you tell me the truth?" Bara approached Dila and held her arms. His sharp eyes look like an eagle staring at his prey.
Dila did not dare to look into Bara's eyes. She can see the anger and disappointment. Dila was wrong for hiding the truth even though both of them are stranded on an island due to the tsunami.
"It's useless for me to be honest now. We have our own lives," said Dila without any trace of regret.
"Our own lives? You never think of me. You never think about my feeling that all this time that I know nothing about our children. Even though Dino has become their father figure, I am still their biological father. I should be the one who stands by their side as a father, not Dino. How could you say those cruel words to me? What did I do to deserve this hatred? How could you be so cruel to me?"
Tears started to roll down Dila's face. Bara's words hit the core of her heart and make her feels sick in the stomach.
"Talk, Dila! This is not the time for you to cry! crying won't calm my anger. If I hadn't lost my memory, maybe everything would be different. I will definitely recognize you and our children. I need your explanation!"
"What kind of explanation?"
"Why did you leave me?"
"I don't want to be your wife anymore," Dila said casually. It is impossible to say the truth because she didn't want to hurt Bara's feelings and worsen the man's health. She decided to take the blame as long as Bara stays healthy.
"You must have a reason why you don't want to be my wife anymore."
Dila watched Bara for a moment. She sighs, closes her eyes, and wipes the tears that had fallen on her cheeks. Where should she start? Dila is confused. She didn't want to interfere with Bara's current marriage. Even though Rere gave her the choice to marry, Dila didn't want to. She wants to be the only wife for Aldebaran. She doesn't want to share her husband with other women. She didn't care whether people will start to call her selfish. After all, no woman can share her husband's heart with another woman. Although polygamy is allowed in her religion, it is not easy to live it. Surely the first wife will be hurt by the presence of another woman.
"Of course I have," Dila spoke after a moment of silence.
Bara lowers his voice and gives Dila some time to talk and told him everything. He wanted to hear what kind of excuse his wife came up with.
"Your past makes me unable to be your wife anymore," Dila said coldly. She must hurt Bara's heart so the man would hate her and stay away from her.
"What kind of past?" Bara challenges Dila. He gives her a mysterious smile that made Dila shudder.
"You definitely know what I am talking about."
"If I remember everything, I won't ask you. Let's talk and be honest with me."
"Didn't Rere ever tell you about our past?"
"Rere just said that we are still legally husband and wife." Bara approached Dila. He wrapped his arms around Dila's waist and gave her a hot kiss as punishment for leaving and lying to him.
Bara silenced Dila with a passionate kiss. Dila tries to break the kiss by hitting the man's chest. Bara's kiss was full of anger and longing. Angry that Dila just left him without telling him about Defri and Iqbal's threat. Longing because it has been almost four years since the last time he embraced her slender body that he missed for years.
