"Find out who did this to Rere. Check CCTV and find the culprit. I will not let the culprit get away easily. He has killed my offspring," Dino said angrily. The whole family shuddered at the sight of Dino's anger. Every husband would also get angry when they saw their beloved wife being harassed.
"Okay boss."
"No, are you okay?" Dila is even worried about Dino's psychological condition. As long as she knows Dino, this is the first time Dila has seen him look so terrible.
"I won't slack off anymore. I don't want to lose my wife for the second time. I swear I won't let go of the culprit who abused Rere."
"Calm down, No. You'd better drink first." Herman handed mineral water to his son-in-law.
Dino took it and drank up to half a bottle. Dino hadn't eaten or drank at all. His appetite suddenly disappeared. He was worried about Rere's condition.
The nurses pushed Rere out of the operating room. Rere was still unconscious. Everyone followed Rere to the treatment room.
Dino looked at Rere sadly. He didn't know what he should say if she asked him about her condition.
"Rere is still asleep." Ainil stroked her daughter's head.
"Rere is still under anesthesia." Dila also stroked Rere's hair.
Dino sitting on the sofa in dazed. His head hung low in thought. He was suffocated by the thought. He felt sad because he had lost their third child. Dino felt lost and distressed. He looks tough on the outside, but in reality, his heart is broken. He fell into the deepest abyss and could not get up again. Feeling at the lowest point in his life. For some reason, as a husband, he feels he has failed to take care of his wife. Dino had learned from experience. He didn't want to lose his wife for the second time. He had not been able to guess who the perpetrators had harmed Rere.
It was enough to lose Ananya in such a tragic way. Dino didn't want Rere to have the same fate as Ananya. Dino vowed not to forgive the perpetrator who had hurt Rere.
"Dino. Are you ok?" Ainil was even worried to see the condition of his son-in-law. Since then, Dino seems to be out of focus and concentration.
"I'm fine mom. Don't worry about me. I'm worried about Rere's condition."
"Rere will be fine." Ainil tries to comfort Dino even though she needs to be comforted. As a mother, her heart was break looking at Rere's condition. she hoped that everything was just a dream, not a reality.
"Are you really okay, No? Ainil asked her son-in-law again
"You don't have to worry, mom, I'm fine."
"But I can see the anxiety on your face, No."
"I'm just sad and nervous, mom. This is normal because I just lost a child. The most distressing thing for me, we lost him before we knew he existed." Dino looked down at Rere who was lying weakly.
"It's not only you who are sad. We are also sad to know this. I don't know why something has happened to you even though you have just started your marriage and started to love each other."
"Maybe this is a test for me. We have to be strong to accept this ordeal." Dino tried to be strong even though his heart was broken.
Bara approached Dino and lightly patted his shoulder. "We'll find out who did this."
"Thanks, Bar."
"No need to thank me. We're family, No."
"We're family, No. You don't have to be modest," Dila encouraged Dino.
"Thank you," Dino smiled.
"Who will wait for Rere?" Ainil asked again.
"Just let me do it. You can go home." Dino looked at his mother-in-law.
"Are you sure?" She looked doubtfully. "Just let me do it. You should rest at home."
"Don't worry Dila. I want to accompany Rere and make sure of her condition. I can't calm down when I'm at home."
"Okay then."
Everyone went home, leaving Dino and Rere alone. After the departure of their family, Dino closed the door tightly and locked it from the inside.
Dino sobbed. He wept until he was tired. He saw Rere sleeping soundly with a pale face. His lips were pale. Dino kissed his wife's forehead gently and then held her hand as if he didn't want to let her go.
"I'm sorry for not being able to take care of you, honey. I promise I'll find out the culprit. I won't forgive him." Dino took a warm towel and wiped the sweat on Rere's temples. The woman was still fast asleep.
Dino put a wet towel on the sink. He looked worriedly at his wife. Restless because Rere hasn't regained consciousness. Rere lay weak. A knock on the door caught Dino's attention. He immediately opened the door.
"Sir, just keep the door closed. You can't lock the door. The nurses will come one after another to see the patient's condition."
"Okay," Dino nodded.
The nurse checked Rere's temperature and blood pressure and changed Rere's IV.
"Why isn't she awake yet? She should have woken up." Dino looked at the nurse.
"The patient will wake up soon, sir. You need to wait for the anesthetic effect to wear off."
"Thank you."
"For the night clerk, nurse Tiwi and the team will visit the patient, sir."
"Yes," Dino nodded.
After changing the IV and taking Rere's temperature, the nurses withdrew.
Dino looked at Rere with teary eyes. For some reason, he couldn't forget the pain of losing his son. If they had known Rere's condition quickly, Dino surely would not let his wife drive alone. Dino will ask Rere to use a driver to pick her up from work.
Tears trickled down Dino's cheeks. He wiped it not wanting Rere to see his tears when she woke up later,
Not long after the nurse left, Rere opened her eyes. She stared blankly at the ceiling. She was confused. Where is she? Her right hand has an IV on it. She tried to get up but felt pain in her stomach
.
"You're awake?" Dino approached his wife. He helped his wife sit up
by arranged the bed
.
"You came back." Rere cried, looking at her husband. She hugged Dino tightly. She was traumatized by the incident. Rere wept bitterly remembering the man when he hit her stomach until she vomited blood. The man was very cruel. One hit had left Rere helpless but the man continued to beat her.
"I'm back." Dino stroked his wife's head. He wanted to provide a place of comfort and protection.
"I'm so afraid." Rere pouted.
"Do not be afraid. I am here. No one can hurt you anymore. I promise."
"Don't leave me anymore. I think I am traumatized by the incident." Rere suddenly shivered and her body trembled.
"I won't. I will not leave you anymore. I will protect you from the bad guys."
"I'm so afraid. I once ran into the forest with Tia and Gesa when Prince Ahmed's men chased us to silence us about Ananya's death. I'm so afraid." Rere wept bitterly.
"Don't be afraid anymore. They won't hurt you."
"What's happened to me? Why did my stomach feel so painful? What happened? What time is it?"
"It does not matter."
"Don't lie to me. What really happened."
"That man has such inner strength that you vomit blood."
"Do not lie to me. I felt pain in my stomach. I saw the blood in my groin before passing out." Rere didn't believe Dino's words. She saw the lie in her husband's eyes.
"You don't have to think about it." Dino hugged Rere, trying to change the subject. Dino didn't want Rere to be agitated when she found out that she had miscarried.
"I'm angry if you lied to me. Tell me the truth. What has happened?" Rere tears fell down unconsciously. She doesn't like being lied to.
"Re, I can't speak yet. I don't want to worsen your condition. You have to recover first. I'll tell you when you're healed."
"Not. I want to know now. If you don't want to talk, I will find a doctor to ask about my condition." Rere tried to get up from the bed but Dino stopped him.
Dino looked at Rere sarcastically. Dino didn't like it when she didn't heed his words. Rere's guts shrunk as Dino reprimanded her through the look in his eyes.
"I'm angry with you," Rere went back to sleep and turned her back on Dino.
"Rere."
"I don't want to talk to you."
"Re, it's not like that but."
"But what?" Rere got emotional. She couldn't be angry at Dino. As a result, she burst into tears expressing her feelings.
Dino tried to talk to her but was ignored. Rere knew that Dino was hiding something from her but she couldn't guess what it was.
"Re."
"I'll sleep. Don't talk to me if you don't want to be honest."
"Are you sure you will be fine after listening to what I said?" Dino said as he pulled her to look at him.
