Taking the remote control on the table, Murong Ye turned on the light. The sudden brightness nearly blinded their eyes, and they took a few minutes to adjust to the glare.

Getting up and walking by the door, Murong Ye picked up the folder that he had thrown at Fourth, and stepped towards Gong Yu again.

“Since Murong Gang quit their competition, we are not a threat to them anymore.”

Gong Yu thought for a while, then he left the two folders on Murong Ye’s desk. “Big brother, Xiao Xi is in your hands, and I will take over the issues in America. Trust me!”

Lu Yang’s phone was ringing, as he massaged Murong Yunxi and tucked her in.

The call was from Lu Boyi. Stepping out to the balcony, Lu Yang answered the phone helplessly, “Hello, dad.”

“When do you plan to go back to the army?” As he expected, Lu Boyi questioned him forcefully from the start. That elder lead of the army showed an imposing manner, even to his son.

“Dad, Xiao Xi has not woken up, so how could I leave? Besides, her situation is complicated!” Lu Yang tried to communicate with his father in a polite way.

“Xiaoyang, you should remember that you’re a soldier and have your own duty and responsibility. You cannot disregard the interests of your country, for the sake of your private issues. You should have this in your mind from the first day you joined the army!”

“I understand, but dad, I can’t leave her on her own!”

“She has her own family. Why can’t you let her go? Besides, you should know who she is.”

Lu Boyi’s words hurt Lu Yang’s heart deeply! Yes, he had no relationship with her. There seemed to be a big hand squeezing his heart. It was quite painful, which made him lose his tongue.

“Xiaoyang, don’t be so capricious. You have always been a kid who knows the score. I know you can handle it, so don’t let me down!” Lu Boyi finally softened his tone and tried to persuade Lu Yang, in a loving father’s way, which was something rare for him.

“Dad, I will think it over!” Lu Boyi’s attitude made Lu Yang feel guilty instead. His tone of speaking was no longer harsh.

After he hung up, Lu Yang breathed in the fresh air on the balcony. The air was slightly cold and thin, and spread through his lungs and body. Lu Yang suddenly felt cold inside and out.

Turning back and going into the room, feeling upset, he sat by the bed and looked at Murong Yunxi, who looked as beautiful as a sleeping beauty. A sense of dilemma was entangled in his mind.

Lu Boyi’s words were harsh, but as a soldier, he understood and totally agreed. As for Murong Yunxi, she occupied the softest place in his mind, so he could not bear to leave her on her own.

Murong Yunxi shook her head slightly. She could not make any sound, because she had not spoken for such a long time.

“Xiao Xi, just wait. I will call for a doctor to give you a thorough examination.”

When he saw Murong Yunxiao nodding slightly, Lu Yang ran out of the ward. He could have been too excited, because he forgot that there was a call button at the bedside.

Murong Yunxi looked around her surroundings, and saw a little girl lying next to the window. The little girl was pretty and cute, and was still sleeping.

Murong Yunxi felt confused about the identity of this little girl.

Perhaps, the little girl could feel Murong Yunxi’s inquiring look. When Murong Yunxi was thinking about that, the little girl slowly opened her eyes, and looked directly at her.

The little girl was excited to find that Murong Yunxi had finally woken up. She got up and wriggled her way to Murong Yunxi’s bed. She leaned toward Yunxi to look at her.

Yunxi also felt curious about the little girl, stretching her hand to touch her face. The girl’s face was soft and tender. It was true that a child’s skin was very delicate.
