Chapter 291 - Delete the Post!

“The article of yours isn’t enough!” Wang Peng frowned as he read over the soft copy. “You concentrate far too much on tennis being this righteous sport when we should be concentrating on the players in the video. We should shoot them down! Rewrite the article now.”

He shook his head in disdain.

This was an extremely special opportunity for him to turn the tables. If he didn’t seize it now, how could he get the villa of his dreams?

If he didn’t disparage the players in the video, how would the netizens continue to stand by him?

“The thing is…we don’t exactly have evidence of this now. If the video happens to be true, we wouldn’t have anything to fall back on.” Assistant Ma frowned, troubled by the sudden order. “We might need to be cautious about this.”

“Why do you care so much about the truth of the matter?” Wang Peng snorted. “As a professional coach, shouldn’t I be the one to decide whether or not this is true? Do you really think that these tricks in the video are actually being played by a high school student? Are you crazy?”

When he didn’t hear anything from his assistant, the old man rolled his eyes. “Look if you wouldn’t write it, I’ll find someone else who can. Don’t even think about the raise you just requested.”

Hearing this, Assistant Ma buried the worries deep in his heart and quickly agreed. After all, losing his job wasn’t worth the trouble.

He immediately rewrote the manuscript and sent it over for a second review.

When Wang Peng saw the manuscript, he added a few of his own phrases and posted the manuscript for everyone to see.

The truth, after all, was merely a matter for debate.

What was more important was for him to continue to ride the wave of these netizens’ discomfort. He needed more exposure to turn his dream into life. Only then would he be happy.

All of these rumormongers don’t care about the truth, after all. They only cared about the exposure they get on the topic. What he needed to do was to continually side with the netizens.

Even if he had no evidence, his identity as a professional coach was enough to get everyone to believe him.

If he said that the video was fake, then it was fake!

Thinking of all the success he had achieved today, the corners of his lips inched up into a large smile.

It’s time to invite a few of his buddies out to drink!

However, just as he was about to make a call, Assistant Ma’s name popped up on his screen. With a roll of his eyes, he swiped to decline.

Yet, he called once more!

Wang Peng banged his fists onto the table as he glared at his phone screen. What the hell was his problem? “Haven’t I already scolded this guy enough?” he murmured angrily.

With a sigh, he picked up his call.

“Yo, you better have serious business you want to talk about, otherwise, you’re dead to me!”

Wang Peng had expected Assistant Mato apologize. What he didn’t expect was for him to hear his trembling voice. “Brother Peng, you have to delete the post,” he said shakingly. “You have to!”

Assistant Ma was panicking now, regretting that he didn’t insist on his case.

He didn’t have Wang Peng’s password, so it wouldn’t be possible for him to delete the post himself.

The internet had already changed sides! If they were any later, they were done for!
