However, since Jiang Wan and Yao Rongdon’t normally live in the city, they didn’t take the redecorations to heart. Besides, they didn’t have any other guests besides Liu Lin, so they thought it reasonable enough.
Now that Yao Tang was back, things were different.
Jiang Wan liked Yao Tangvery much and would do anything to get the young girl to live with them. It was why she had called someone to redecorate the room at such short notice. She wanted to make sure that Yao Tangwould feel at home.
As soon as Liu Lin took the time to look around, she was stunned. It seemed that her entire room had turned upside down. She couldn’t even recognize it anymore.
Yao Tang cocked up an eyebrow and looked around.
There were chandeliers hanging down from the high ceiling. At the far right, she could see a wooden study table with a dressing cabinet standing right beside it. The mattress was expensive, and the absorbent mat on the door looked like it was custom-made.
While the room looked very expensive, it didn’t look over the top. In fact, it looked warm and cozy.
While Liu Lin didn’t know much about these brands or labels, she knew for a fact that this room was completely different from the last time she had stepped inside it.
Everything was much more exquisite.
It was beautiful!
“Thank you for preparing all of these for me, Auntie Jiang,” Liu Lin said, squealing. “I didn’t expect such a big surprise when I come back. It’s amazing—beautiful, even.”
Auntie Jiang had always adored her.
The reason why Auntie Jiang didn’t want her to come over was that she didn’t want the surprise to be ruined. After all, she still had yet to place their pictures back on the shelf.
Liu Lin shot Yao Tanga smug smile.
Even if this brat was Auntie Jiang’s illegitimate daughter, she was still one step in front of her. The brat could never compare to someone like her.
As she thought about this, she felt even more justified.
However, Jiang Wan could only shoot her an awkward smile, coughing slightly. “The room has actually been prepared for Tangtang,” she said hesitantly. “The room isn’t for you.”
She resisted the urge to shake her head.
Jiang Wan had planned to show Yao Tang her room for days now. However, now that Liu Linhad mistaken the room for hers, it felt like this wasn’t the right time to show it to her actual daughter. She held her breath, not really knowing what to say.
Liu Lin’s face turned pale in embarrassment.
Right. She gazed at the shelves to see that her photos weren’t there anymore. In fact, from what she had remembered, the suitcase was placed right next to a small box that held all of her belongings. Even the pillow she had propped on the chair was gone.
The room used to belong to her.
Now, Yao Tang came and robbed her of her right.
How could an illegitimate daughter just waltz in here and take what was hers?
Yao Rong had obviously wanted to give it to Liu Lin. Yet, this illegitimate daughter came by and snatched it right from her hands, and Jiang Wanwas allowing it!
“Auntie Jiang, this is my room!” Liu Lin slammed her fist onto the wall. “How could you just give it away without my consent? Don’t you think this isn’t fair to me? Where did all of my things go?”
“I…” Jiang Wan furrowed her eyebrows.
She didn’t expect the woman to say such horrible things. While Liu Lin’s belongings were scattered all over the room, this was still a guest room. It obviously didn’t belong to her.
Now, the things they had in the room were for Yao Tang alone.
“But Linlin, this is just a guest room. We’ve already modified it so our daughter could live in comfortably…”
Trying to keep a hold of her temper, Jiang Wan struggled to patiently explain things to her.
Even then, Liu Lin was unwilling to listen. Instead, she stomped over to the kitchen and waved her hands up in the air. “Uncle Yao!” she yelled. “Look what Auntie Jiang and her daughter have done!”
