After a long while, Yang Nian bowed to Yao Tang. “It was our school that has caused you this problem. For that, I’m terribly sorry for our behavior. I hope that you can forgive our mistakes, and we can move past this together.”
His face had a smile belonging to that of a young heir. He didn’t even feel that embarrassed for apologizing. Instead, he was calm and collected.
Lin Xin, who was prepared to see him grumble in grief, could only sigh in disappointment. It turned out that his apology wasn’t as exciting as she had thought.
Then again, with his calm personality, what exactly should she expect?
Yao Tang narrowed her eyes. “I expect that in the future, students from International Middle Schoolwouldn’t interrupt any of our study habits.”
“Secondly, as you’ve already taken responsibility for this matter, you won’t be taking this up to Principal Kong. Instead, this matter would rest between us students only.”
“Thirdly,” she added. “You won’t be using your kinship with Lin Xin against her. She won’t be falling for any of your tricks again.”
“Will you be able to do all of that?”
Yang Nian’s eyes flashed with disappointment at the mention of Lin Xin’s name.
He glanced over at the female student. Lin Xin could only snort as soon as she met his gaze. Without another word, she turned away.
There was a moment of silence before he nodded. “Fine.”
However, just as he was about to leave, Yao Tang pulled out her phone from her pocket. “All right,” she started. “You may begin apologizing.”
At the sound of her friend’s words, Qin Jing immediately jumped up in attention. The corners of her lips twitched up into a smile.
“One phone wouldn’t be enough to capture this. Why don’t I help you record it? Otherwise, people would think that we’ve simply bullied you.”
“Don’t worry,” she later added. “I’ll turn on the beauty filter. That way, you’d still look handsome in this video.”
Lin Xin also stepped in with a grin. “Also, when you apologize, you should explain everything clearly. Otherwise, you’d simply be apologizing for nothing.”
Yang Nian frowned as he stared at the other phone Qin Jingwas holding.
Disbelief and surprise flashed across his face.
Yao Tang made no move to stop her friend, which only disappointed him. He never thought that she’d be this type of person.
He had initially thought that she was the type who was completely indifferent to fame and fortune. She was mature enough to leave things alone and not meddle in such petty arguments. He didn’t expect her to be like this.
It seemed that she was no different from the other girls.
Yao Tang felt his gaze boring onto her sides, but she still remained emotionless. “You should do as Jing Jing asked,” she stated.
Now, he was sure that she wouldn’t stop her.
Taking a deep breath, he quickly apologized on camera and explained everything that had happened. As soon as he apologized, he turned around and walked out of the screen.
It appeared as if he was running away.
Qin Jing and Lin Xinburst into laughter. Yang Nian, on camera, looked much restrained and uncomfortable. It seemed that making him apologize for Yan Weiwasn’t such a bad thing after all.
Lin Xin wrapped her arms around Yao Tang.
If it weren’t for the fact that Yao Tang was avenging her, she wouldn’t have done such a thing. As soon as Yang Nianapologized, she would’ve let him leave. She wouldn’t have asked him to apologize again in front of the camera.
A warm feeling burst in her heart, and her smile widened. She really was a good friend.
They still had class in the afternoon, so Yao Tang and her friends didn’t stay long in the restaurant. They chatted with Fang Huiand Xiao Jinga bit more before returning to their classroom.
As for the music score that Yang Nian had delivered to her, Yao Tangthrew it onto Fang Hui’s lap.
He immediately jumped up from the sudden movements, his heart skipping a beat. “What—” he stopped himself when he saw the piece.
Seeing this, Xiao Jing pouted. “What about my gift?”
Yao Tang scowled. “Stay far away from me as possible,” she said indifferently. “I don’t have any gifts for you.”
Hearing this, Xiao Jing lowered his head. It wasn’t like he had done anything to provoke her, so why was she so cranky today?
