55 To Love

The twins were four months old now and they looked more and more like me as they grew. Well that was my version but obviously my wife didn't quite agree with me. They had the mother's eyes and hair but the looks were all mine. Rita agreed with me but James sided with Maya as usual.

Ethan Zale Kinley and Rachel Yeda Kinley were the most beautiful creatures that I had ever seen and the best part was they belonged to me. I hadn't quite grasped the fact that I was a father. I thought that I had known love but this was a different kind of love-it couldn't be explained but only felt. It was beyond comprehension. Maya and I fell in love all over again-with each other and our children.

Tonight was date night. We hadn't been out since we had arrived in Capetown and I decided that tonight would be the night. Maya didn't want to leave the twins at all but we convinced her. Rita's parents were still around and they urged all of us to go out for a change.

"Good morning all." Rita circled the breakfast table and kissed her parents. "My-My since we'repainting the town red tonight we need to go shopping after breakfast. I heard there are a lot of nice malls around so we need an early start."

"Are we allowed to tag along or maybe we can meet later for lunch?"James asked.

"I think we should go with them, they need protection. Don't you think?" I turned to James and Rita's parents.

"You're right Kyle." Mrs Anderson nodded.

"No need. We can take Richard and Paul." Maya glared at me.

"Oh no wife. It is a husband's solemn duty to protect his wife. Is that not so Mr Anderson?" I looked to Rita's Dad for support.

"Indeed Kyle. You should all go. It's always good for couples to spend time together. We will stay behind and take care of our grand babies." He smiled at his wife.

"Home run." James gave me a high-five.

"If you guys are coming then no whining about going from shop to shop as we try on different outfits." Maya said as she stood up.

"Babe we will close the whole shop so that you can shop to your hearts content-and for security reasons of cos." I winked..

"I'm going to get ready." She started to walk out and I followed behind.

"Do you need help with that babe?" I whispered into her ear.

"You're shameless husband...meet me in the shower in five." She whispered seductively and ran up the stairs.

"Why don't we have lunch first and then we can go shopping after?" I asked as we jumped into the car.

"Sounds good." Maya hopped onto my lap and laced her arms around my neck. I kissed her and placed my hands on her thigh and squeezed.

"If you guys are not careful you're going to be pregnant again-very soon." James muttered.

We ignored him and deepened the kiss much to James and Rita's dismay.

"Guys! Get a room already." Rita covered her face.

"You're so irresistible." I whispered against Maya's swollen lips.

"Likewise." She said as she nibbled my bottom lip.

"Hallo! We're right here.." James called out.

I didn't say anything but with my lips still locked with Maya, I reached out for the button for the partition and everyone disappeared from view as it slid down, giving us and total privacy.

"You didn't have to do that." She giggled.

"I'm glad I did cos now I can do this." I trailed kisses on her neck and her collarbone.

"Hmmm..you better stop doing that otherwise.." She nibbled on my ear.

"Otherwise?" I looked at her flushed face.

"I'll have to rip your clothes off and have my way with you-right here and right now." She straddled me and her dress rode up her thighs.

"If you don't do it now, then I will be forced to do the honors babe.." I ran my hands up and down her exposed thighs.

There was a loud rap on thedark tinted window and we completely ignored it but it continued.

"Hey! I know you can hear me-we're here. Please come out now. You can pick up where you left off when we get home." James called out.

"Go away!" I shouted.

"We'll be inside the mall. You can find us when you're done or call us or whatever. Let's go Jamie." We heard Rita say and then there was silence.

"We really should go..reign check?" Maya said in between kisses.

"Hmmm..Yeah-I guess." I sighed as I helped her fix her hair and her dress.

She reached for her bag, pulled out a brush and handed it to me. "I'll do you if you do me."

"I can do you right now if you want." I kisses her neck.

"Just brush my hair okay?" She laughed as she turned her back to me.

When we looked decent again we got out of the car and walked towards the mall, with Richard and Paul in tow.

We found Jamie and Maya easily and proceeded with the shopping.We decided to have lunch after.

Richard went ahead and asked the shop owners of some exclusive boutiques if they could close off to the public while we shopped-they would be fully compensated for their co-operation of course.

We left the mall loaded with shopping bags and drained of energy. Shopping was hard work.

"Can we eat now? I'm about to drop." Rita complained.

We went to Aubergine, a sophisticated, romantic restaurant in Cape Town which combines a rich history with contemporary style, innovative food and classic service.

"I would like to propose a toast.." Kyle clinked his class with a fork and the table went silent.

"To my wife...You gave us quite a scare a few months back and it made us appreciate you even more. I love you babe." I leaned forward and kissed her.

"To Maya." Everyone chorused as we raised our glasses towards her.

"Thank you guys so much-for everything-for always being there. I appreciate you all so much and I love you husband." She brushed her lips against mine again.

"Here's to love then. "James raised his glass and we all followed suit.

"To love." We said in unison.
