91 Return to Renaissance city Part-1

Equinox was having a hard time since he had rejoined the game, he was forced to change his name and procure a mask to hide his face, after all it would not bode well if got caught by the Heavenly Sons alliance they will tear him apart, he could only prey to whatever deity that were listening to him that his older sister and her teammates would arrive here fast.

He had worked very hard and had managed to reach the 20th level, he was satisfied at his progress but compared to his sister's team it was nothing even the so called Son's of Heaven alliance was nothing they were way behind but because of their publicity and enticement many had joined them for their offer.

As he turned his head he grimaced upon seeing his former girlfriend hanging around with some random person, he hated it he had given everything to her but she left him for what some money and costly gifts it was true that money matters but selling your body for money, to live a life of luxury was just wrong and he wanted to throw up knowing he was with someone with such loose morals, 'After I log out I need to scrub my skin raw I hope I have not caught any strange diseases from her.'

Equinox looked at the woman in the Heavenly Sons alliance most of them were like that it made him grimace at that, 'I loath to call them and view them as the same sex as my sister, women like them with no self respect are black mark to the rest of them and because of them we forget heroines of old and forget the contribution they made to the society and paint all of them in the same bad light.'

"Here you have done well.", Equinox nodded at the person in question who had issued a quest to him, as he received the reward he grimaced, 'A morning star what do I do with it, ugh I will have to sell it and I was so looking forward for the reward such disappointment.'

He then looked up towards the sky before leaving a sigh of disappointment, 'I hope they return soon I am getting bored playing solo and acting as mercenary and sometimes an errand boy.'

Zeus was looking back from the carriage they were travelling, they were returning to renaissance city a jump through the teleporter and voila they would arrive directly into the clutches of Boudier.

"Is there a reason a scowl is etched on your face?"

Upon hearing his teacher's voice he spoke with a sigh, "Nothing teacher just that I am a bit peachy."

"And why is that?"

Zeus sighed as he leaned back to his seat while his legs dangled of the back of the carriage as he spoke, "We are going to use the teleporter of the church as according to you there are no other in the area and we would appear directly in the clutches of Cardinal Boudier"

Sylphy grumbled at that as she spoke, "I told you we should leave early we could have taken the detour and take the long way back to the Renaissance City at least we would not appear in midst of what would seem like an enemy territory."

Vessha sighed as she spoke, "You all have lots to learn do you really think I would expose you to such an ordeal.", she let out a tired sigh before she spoke in a mournful tone, "Was it too much to ask for intelligent companions I am cursed to deal with nincompoops."

"I pity you commander."

A quip came from one of her subordinates making Zeus bristle at the insult as he turned his attention towards the desert with a huff.

The rest of the journey was quite and mostly uneventful except the time when a few bandits tried to rob them Zeus watched them with pity in his eyes as they were torn apart by Vessha's group of 60 strong men and women who were travelling with the caravan.

"Zeus we have a problem.", Azi's voice interrupted everyone as it broke the comfortable atmosphere as Zeus spoke with a frown, "What is it Azi?"

"Equinox send a message to me just now, 'The scoundrel was seen fraternizing with the Cardinal.'"

Zeus eyes widen as Vessha spoke with a frown, "Who is this 'scoundrel' and 'Equinox'?"

CelestialMaiden who was sharing their carriage spoke with a sigh, "Someone who wanted to possess me because of my looks and have made my life hell and if I had not met with Zeus and others I would have already fallen prey to his schemes and as for Equinox he is my brother because of complications he was left behind."

Vessha looked surprised at that as she spoke, "You have a brother?"

CelestialMaiden nodded with a small smile, "Yes my younger brother."

Zeus turned towards Azi as he spoke with a frown, "Well whether he is fraternizing or not the plan still holds we will not do anything otherwise."

Azi frowned at him as he spoke, "Are you sure?"

Vessha sighed as she spoke, "He is right if I am right about the faction that he represents then we have to be cautious the Church tolerates them and if he makes a huge mistake there is chance that he might end up becoming a persona non grata to the church but if we attack them prematurely it would lead to many problems not to mention the current church is leaning slightly towards that wretched faction."

Zeus sighed before he turned towards Azi as he spoke, "Azi, make sure to forward Equinox's message to others as well as makes sure to remind others that the plan will not change."

Sylphy rubbed her temples as she spoke, "It will be a very difficult battle."

Zeus snorted at that as he spoke, "It will be extremely difficult one after all we will not only have to face the church forces under Boudier but also forces of the city."

Vessha nodded her head as she spoke, "So true the sheeples will side with the church but do not worry I have plans in place, if it works well not only it would harm the reputation of that wretched faction of the church but also makes sure Boudier is taken care of."

CelestialMaiden was unsure about everything as she spoke, "What if that person has no ulterior motives, then?"

Zeus snorted at that as he spoke, "The place where I had been to gather the sacred water is so dangerous that without teacher's help it would have been impossible to finish the quest. The palce was a maze with dangerous creatures, Boudier knew we were low leveled and that place I do not think that anyone could enter freely even after a long time yet he send us here on a dubious quest as such he is an enemy for sure."

Azi placed a comforting hand on top of CelestialMaiden's shoulder as she spoke with a smile, "You should not change sister, if more people like who always tried to see good qualities of another were present the world would be a better place."
