94 Return to Renaissance City part-3

A lone figure sat on a chair adjusting his gauntlets a little as he sat inside a small and dirty tea shop in a village a little further off from Renaissance City he had been sitting there waiting patiently for some time now, he had already finished his fifth cup of tea and a few more cakes that was made by the owner of the shop, the shop might be old and dirty looking but its taste was top notch much better than some of the most posh looking establishment, the person was in perfect bliss even if the person he was waiting for was running late he would not mind as long as the steady supply of tea and snacks were not disturbed.

"Sorry bro I got ambushed by a creature on my way here as such I got late."

A voice shattered his peace and tranquility as the person's grip on the tea cup hardened as he spoke in a clam tone, "Brother Equinox I will give a piece of advice for the future never get between a man and his happy place."

Equinox gulped at that as Zeus continued with a tone void of any emotions, "I do not care whether you are late or not, but I do care that you stopped me from having to eat the delicious goodness.", as Equinox gulped Zeus looked at the last piece of cake before he consumed it, 'Such a nice texture and test how did they put taste in codes.', Equinox stood ramrod as Zeus finished the snacks then he stood up leaving some coins as a means of payment for the snacks and started walking with Equinox in tow.

A few minutes later Zeus's brow twitched as he rounded up Equinox, "Bro is there something wrong?"

Equinox shook his head as Zeus rubbed his forehead in irritation as he spoke, "We have been a guest in my house for some time now so please stop acting so skittish around me, you see me every day so why are you suddenly acting like that."

Equinox gave a nervous chuckle as he spoke, "Sorry I was just tensed."

Zeus gave him a warm smile as he spoke, "I hope the creature did not give you too much trouble."

Equinox smiled at him as he spoke, "Nothing that I cannot take care of."

Zeus nodded at that as he spoke, "See I told you that you would be perfect addition to our group."

Equinox frowned as he spoke, "But my level is so low."

Zeus waved his hands as he spoke, "Irrelevant, as I have told you before you may be low leveled player currently but you promised me that you would work hard did you not?"

Equinox nodded at that as Zeus spoke with a smile, "That is enough for me and remember Rome was not build in a day, we are lucky because we got stronger enemies to farm form as such we are on higher level and I believe you would one day reach our level may be not today, or this week but what about next month you do not know when things might change as such remember to never give up and keep on working hard."

Equinox nodded as he began to follow after Zeus wordlessly as Zeus spoke, "The more I see the more I am amazed at everything how did they do it."

Equinox shrugged as he spoke with a smile, "Sorry but I have no idea as well."

Zeus sighed before he perked up remembering something, "Hey how is your preparation going?"

Equinox gave an uneasy smile as he spoke, "Well it is so so I just hope I will make it to a nice college."

Zeus frowned at that as he spoke, "That is not right thing to say, you should always aim for the top and work hard towards because if you aim for something mediocre you will receive mediocre it is basic human nature as you by yourself will be unconsciously restricting yourself by setting a lower goal also bro if you need time off for your studies you may do so."

Equinox shook his head as he spoke, "No there is no need for that."

Zeus frowned as he spoke, "I am a very selfish person, mom and dad had said that if I were to open and manage a game studio I have to look after each and every of the team, and I so do not want you to sacrifice your life, career and dream for me otherwise I would lose my gaming privileges which I so do not want to.", he took a deep breath as he continued, "Playing games is all good and everything but a few can make it to the professional level where they are successful and even that takes time a lot of time but that is all well until you wish to sacrifice is your education and that is a big no to my parents."

Equinox nodded at that as he spoke, "But I do not see you going to school?"

Zeus looked at him as he grinned, "Ah it seems I forgot to mention to you that I have already finished schooling and I am taking a sabbatical for a year before trying for college."

A few minutes later the duo reached a well guarded camp as they stepped inside Equinox found himself pulled into a bone crushing hug by CelestialMaiden as she spoke with elation in her voice, "Brother it is good to see you."

Equinox snorted at that as he spoke, "We saw each other a few hours ago in the real world."

CelestialMaiden simply smiled at her as the head of the camp arrived, "So hatchling is he your contact?"

Zeus nodded at that as he spoke, "Teacher this is Equinox, CelestialMaiden's younger brother, and Equinox this is my teacher Lady Vessha."

Equinox simply bowed towards her as Vessha simply gave a small nod before she spoke, "So what information have you gathered for us."

Equinox took out a couple of parchments from his inventory space as he spoke, "Here the entire map of the sewer system of Renaissance City and along with the map of the Renaissance City."

Zeus gave him a small pat on his back while inwardly wincing upon remembering the sacrifice Equinox had to do, getting the title 'Sewer Knight' was not something that anyone could do, he had to spend working countless hours inside the sewer to create a map of it thoroughly fight dangerous creatures that have made the sewer their home alone it made him respect Equinox greatly.

Vessha simply took them from him as she spoke, "Zeus follow me and Equinox make yourself comfortable and thank you for your work."

Zeus sent a nod towards him before he promptly followed after Vessha to discuss about the next course of action leaving the brother and sister duo alone.
