Chapter 195 - THE PARENTS' APPROVAL

Could Kris borrow a headphone or something that could block his sense of hearing so that he didn't need to hear Kevin's decision?

He had a bad feeling about the decision. Kevin said that he didn't want to feel lonely and didn't want to fight with him either, so it seemed that he would follow his parents' advice, right?

The parents were left speechless, while Kris was grinning joyfully now. He looked like a selfish person for supporting his lover to go against his parents' wish, but he wouldn't lie that he felt so relieved upon hearing his lover's decision.

"Kevin, you..." Benjamin couldn't even speak properly upon hearing his son's answer. "Why are you so stubborn, Kevin?"

Kevin knew that his foster parents were hopeless now, but he had made a final decision, and no one could force him to change his mind.

"Why are you still against my idea, Dad? You said that you and Mom became happier after you adopted me, right? Then I will just follow what you had done with Mom. I will adopt a kid from the orphanage, and I'm sure that I will be happy with my little family."

He could feel Kris tighten his grip on his hand, and he finally turned his head to his lover. Now he could smile brightly at his lover after dozen minutes his mind was so tangled.

"It's... it's really―"

"You said that you and Mom aren't narrow-minded people, right, Dad? If that's true, then I hope you two won't be against our relationship because I will never change my mind after this."

Kevin's determination was apparent, and he even dared to cut his father's speech. He didn't mean to be ill-mannered, but he didn't want to hear his father's reasoning anymore.

On the other hand, Kris was amazed by his lover's bravely. He still remembered how nervous Kevin was earlier, but now he couldn't find a hint of nervousness on his lover's face at all. Kevin had changed for the better, and he was proud of his lover.

"It's just your decision, Kevin. You should take Kris' opinion into account as well. Does he mind adopting a child in the future? That decision can't be taken lightly," Benjamin spoke again as he turned his gaze towards Kris.

Kris, who didn't expect that other people's attention would shift to him again, flinched in surprise before replying, "Kevin's voice is my voice, so you don't need to worry about my opinion."

Perhaps Kris didn't want to lose to his lover in terms of braveness, and he managed to answer Benjamin's question confidently.

Benjamin and Charlotte looked a bit taken aback by the answer, but not long after, they could hear Charlotte's crisp laughter.

"It seems like Kris is so whipped here. I can see Kris's sincerity, so maybe we should give them a chance."

From the soft expression and the tender voice of Charlotte, they could see that the lady finally could open up her heart for Kevin and Kris's relationship. She looked relaxed and all smiley right now, a total opposite to her tense expression earlier.

Even so, Benjamin remained with his stern expression even after he heard his wife's argument.

"Kris is so whipped that he shamelessly wanted to fuck our son in the car."

None of them was expecting such a word to come out of Benjamin's lips, so they all widened their eyes at the oldest man in the room.

"Mouth, Ben! How could you shamelessly say that kind of word in front of our son?" Charlotte reprimanded her husband, but the husband remained undaunted.

"Don't you remember our son saying that he's not a kid anymore? Words like that are not uncommon to him. Not only familiar with the word, but I'm sure he and Kris often practice it."

Benjamin became so sarcastic all of a sudden, and the sarcasm made both Kevin and Kris blush in embarrassment. Yes, the man was right. Both Kevin and Kris were more than familiar with the word 'fuck.'

Charlotte, as the only well-mannered person in the room, could only shake her head in surrender.

"You'd better tell our son about your decision. Are you going to support their relationship or not? If you're still against their relationship, then that's fine. I'll support them alone, but you should sleep alone at night too."

Hearing Charlotte's warning, Benjamin immediately widened his eyes. "That's so unfair!" He exclaimed. "I don't want to sleep alone, so I will force myself to support their relationship!"

Benjamin looked like a tsundere right now, and Charlotte rolled her pretty eyes upon hearing her husband's words.

Kevin and Kris looked delighted upon hearing the decision, though. Even if Benjamin spoke in a cold tone with a hard expression, but they knew that the man finally accepted their relationship. The two young men finally could heave a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Mom, Dad," Kevin spoke again. "I promise you that I will always be happy with Kris. Do you want to promise my parents too, Kris?" He continued while turning his head to his lover.

Kris was a little taken aback by the sudden question, but his face was serious as he said, "I promise you that I will protect Kevin with my life, and I will sacrifice whatever I have for his happiness. I will not disappoint your trust, Sir and Madame."

"Huh? I kinda don't like the way you call us, Kris," Charlotte immediately responded to Kris's promise.

Kris looked confused as he glanced at Kevin, but the latter just shrugged as a response.

"You two said you were going to get married, right? So you can call us your mom and dad. We don't mind having two sons. Am I right, Ben?"

Benjamin remained faithful with his tsundere attitude, so he just snorted when he heard his wife's question.

"If you are serious with my son, then when will you marry him?" Benjamin was still acting cold to them, but his question just now was the one that froze both Kevin and Kris.

Kevin did talk about marriage earlier, but he just wanted to convince his parents that he and Kris were serious about their relationship. He didn't expect his father to give them another challenge.

"Why did you suddenly urge them to get married, Ben? They are still young, so they don't need to rush a marriage," Charlotte questioned her husband, but her husband remained unfazed.

"They are no longer young," Benjamin replied without looking at his wife. "I got married when I was 25, and how old are they right now? They are already older than my age back then, right?"

Kevin facepalmed. Why did his father compare his era with their era now?

"You don't have to worry, Sir―"

"I told you to call him Dad, didn't I?"

Kris was slightly taken aback when Kevin's mother suddenly cut his speech. He smiled awkwardly at the lady before correcting his speech, "You don't have to worry, Dad. I will marry your son when the right time comes."

Kris's face was full of determination when he declared his promise, but Benjamin looked like he wasn't satisfied by the answer.

"When the right time comes? When will the right time come? Our country is peaceful again now, and I heard from Kevin that you've been injected by the antidote as well. What are you waiting for?"

The question sounded challenging, and Kevin felt the need to intervene in the conversation.

"We are currently investigating an important case, Dad. We can't get married before we finished the investigation."

Kris looked surprised when he heard Kevin's statement. He turned his head to his lover and gave his lover a 'Why did you tell your father about that' look.

Kevin seemed to understand the meaning of Kris's gaze, but he just nodded calmly at his lover.

"You are investigating a case right now? What kind of case is that? I thought you can live peacefully after the werewolves are no longer exist in the world."

The curiosity on Benjamin's face was obvious, and it seemed like he wasn't the curious one. His wife displayed the same expression as well.

On the other hand, Kris was nervous as he waited for his lover's answer. Would Kevin tell the truth to his parents?

"We are investigating Uncle Fredy, Dad."

And it turned out Kevin really told the truth to his parents.
