Bai Peng sat down as he took another sip of the ice cold coffee. He continued typing questions for the elementary school quiz.
The taps on the keyboard were the only sound that Wen Hui could hear, aside from her own gulping noises.
"Hey. Hey, Bai Peng." Wen Hui could not bear the quietness anymore, and with her drunkenness spurring her on, she decided to bother her friend.
"Hai... what is it?" Bai Peng was already used to this.
"You know, I encountered a student during the past three days..." Wen Hui recalled the events. "He... asked if he could sleep with me."
Bai Peng certainly did not expect this, as the coffee inside his mouth got spit out!
"What... what the hell?" Bai Peng uttered under his breath.
Wen Hui turned her head, concerned. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Continue."
"Okay... well, I agreed."
Bai Peng certainly did not expect this, as the saliva inside his mouth got spit out!
"What... the f**k is she thinking?"
"So... the day that we agreed on came."
Bai Peng certainly did not expect this, as the whatever-was-left-inside-his-mouth got spit out!
"You already did it?!" This time, Bai Peng could not keep his calm anymore.
"Geez, calm down! We didn't do it in the end, okay? He probably realized that what he did was... wrong?"
"But you agreed in the first place!"
"That's because he had pictures of me! Black. Mail. Material." Wen Hui emphasized that he had blackmail.
At that point, Bai Peng's flustered eyes turned dark. "...He dares to threaten a teacher?"
"I know, right?" Wen Hui agreed as she gulped more of the beer.
"But wait, how did he acquire those in the first place?" Bai Peng questioned.
"Oh, that? I sent him those pictures." Wen Hui was already drunk.
Bai Peng certainly did not... ah, whatever. There's nothing left inside of his mouth to spit out.
Anyway, he was dumbfounded.
Why. The. Hell. Did she send the pictures?!
Bai Peng composed himself before he continued. "So I suppose you had a prior relationship with him?"
"No, it was the second day we met. He asked to sleep with me, and I sent him pictures just in case I change my mind." Wen Hui said matter-of-factly.
At this point, Bai Peng did not even know what to say anymore. His brain juice had run dry. He had no more energy left to type, let alone listen to Wen Hui getting crazier and crazier.
He walked to his bed and crashed onto it, nullifying the effects of the coffee.
"Hey," Wen Hui said as she hiccuped, "Bai Peng."
"Shut up. Don't talk to me." Bai Peng could not handle her craziness anymore. She needed to wait until tomorrow.
In fact, Wen Hui herself found the matter peculiar. She would never do that, even if she was drunk.
Speaking of drunkenness, Wen Hui did not expect her tolerance to be this low. Before, she could take ten or so bottles before becoming drunk.
Why did she get inebriated from just one can?
.....
Lin Guiying finished.
She rested her hands on her knees as the machine evaluated her score.
At the side, Zhou Lei, along with other bystanders, had watched in awe as she danced gracefully and tapped the arrows under her with her light feet.
They turned her head towards the screen - she almost got a perfect score!
Their eyes went towards Lin Guiying again, as she too glanced at the score.
"Tsk." She was disappointed. She felt that she did her best this time, but she still couldn't get a perfect score.
The audience saw her disappointment, and felt the same way. They sympathized with her for being so close to perfection, yet so far.
"How pitiful."
Lin Guiying walked off the machine and smiled at Zhou Lei before she spoke, "How is it? Do you get it now?"
Zhou Lei nodded before shaking his head, "Actually, I don't get it at all..."
He smiled self-deprecatingly before Lin Guiying put one of her hands on his shoulder and put her thumb up on the other, "It's fine, everyone is like this when they start!"
Zhou Lei wanted to say, "I really have no interest in Dance Dance Revolution," but seeing the passion of the girl about the game, he decided against it. Instead, he just went along with it and said, "I'll try my best."
Lin Guiying was satisfied with his answer. She glanced at her watch in surprise. "It's already 8 in the evening... My mana- mom is going to be mad. She probably already is."
"Ah, I have to get going too." Zhou Lei said, before the girl in front of him took her phone out.
"Let's exchange WeChat IDs."
