Chapter 22 - Etrama Seal

A police patroller of the city approached them.

"Is there something wrong here, sir?" He's wearing the national police that was under the control of the Duke of Great Greivania with the logo. Jason's hand froze in the air and he put it down.

"Nothing, officer. There's just a misunderstanding." He smiled at the officer. He showed no expression and his jaw is still tight. He nodded at his bodyguards as they let go of Kenzo. Jason moved closer to him. "You are lucky this time."

Kenzo only glared at Jason. They left and the officer approached him.

"Sir, would you like to file charges to him?" The man asked.

"Thank you for your help, sir. But that man has lots of money and power. Besides, filing charges to him will be useless too."

"Then, it's different here in Lwazi. Have a good day sir." He saluted him as he turned back.

He felt quite odd on why a police patroller approached them like that. Maybe it's one of tight security in the city. He entered the building and delivered it to the meeting room. They thanked him for it and of course, they didn't pay him anything as the meeting started and he took out his notebook and started taking notes on what they should do to make all of the documents safe.

Caleb's business is about transporting documents and parcels. More like delivery services. He's already delivering on the whole continent and also in a few states. He'll start to do global delivery. But it'll take a few more years to do that. Slowly, they are expanding too.

Victoria received lots of letters from the bank that it was indeed closed. So, maybe it's time to hire lawyers? But she's too tired to do that. She just felt so low at the moment. It's making her feel anxious. She smacked her head to wake herself. She and her crazy mind again. She put all of it in her bag and got her purse. The Officer in Chief of their team entered and smiled at her.

"Hey, you look good, Victoria." The man was at least around fifty, like the age of her father. But he constantly texts her with lots of things since their big boss put few works on her. She only smiled at him. She put her bag in her drawer and locked it. "So, I heard that you broke up with your boyfriend. I didn't see your ring there."

She looked at her right hand where the silver ring and the ring that was the maid of wires were. She shook her head. She walked past him but he pulled her arm.

"Wait, so since when?" he asked. Victoria felt odd since the man named Jacob, who is at the age of her father, always complimented her. He did it mostly to everyone but she felt shivers. She pulled her arm from him.

"We'll be late from the meeting." She told him.

"I have something to tell you first."

She turned to him and he stared into his eyes with those shines. She felt odd from it.

"What is it, sir?" She asked in a very professional way.

"Well, it's been so long, and… maybe it's the first time you enter our team."

"What?" She creased her brows.

"I love you." He said. "But can I ask you something? Just once?"

"Sir, we are in the office and I don't do that. Work only means work for me." She turned back from him and he pulled her waist and hugged her. She quickly restrained and pushed him. Her heart was racing and adrenaline kicked in as she raised her hand. "If you keep doing this…"

"Don't tell our boss. I won't do it again."

She exhaled slowly and quickly left. Her hands started getting cold and sweaty as she left the floor in a rush. She smiled at her colleagues. Still feeling angry, surprised, and nervous. That man, Jacob told everyone about his wife-beating him up and that she's scary. She should stop chatting with that man whenever he asks such things.

"Are you okay?" Rose asked as she reached Victoria's cold hands.

"Yes," She said in a rush and their other colleagues followed them. She glanced at Jacob and she moved closer to Rose.

"Damn, I forgot the tablet," Victoria said. "Let me get it." She said quickly. She walked briskly as she went back to her office. She exhaled slowly as she carelessly tapped her ID on her office. She pushed the door and took her tablet from the drawer. She just realized that she's shaking. She leaned on her table first as she exhaled slowly. Her phone started ringing, her husband was calling. She smiled and answered it as she left her office to follow her colleagues.

"Hey, love."

"I'm with Caleb and out for lunch. Where are you?"

"We are also going to have an outside meeting lunch."

"Oh, great."

"Love," She called as she tapped on the elevator.

"Yes?"

"Can you cuddle me tonight until I wake up?"

"Yes, of course. Something isn't right. Are you okay?"

"Yes," She lied. "But, I'll be with you later."

"Hmm, okay," Kenzo mumbled.

She reached the outside of the building and approached Rose who waited for her. They walked a few blocks to the restaurant that they were going to eat. They choose the Samgyupsal Eastern Barbeque house. Since their big boss already set up a reservation for them. They walked in and went to the table for them. She sat beside Rosie and her big boss and away from Jacob. But that pervert sat in front of her. She felt very uneasy as their order came and they started grilling while discussing lots of things. Her boss Federico said what he wanted while she recorded it from her tablet and took notes on a few things.

Rose, who was a lesbian and a great friend of hers also feed her some pork wrapped in lettuce with the sauces. She hummed and thumbs up to her. Rose winked and they continued eating.

"We should always, always make a report of the things that we see. Or else, I'll get back to all of you," Federico told his officers since she and Rose are just clerks or more like the assistant of the big boss.

Kenzo and Caleb sat on the very corner of the Samgyupsal Eastern Barbeque House. He already noticed his wife but it seemed like they were in the meeting. She looked bothered and not attentive that much and he knew that something was bothering her with just one look.

"There's your wife," Caleb said.

"Let's not interrupt them," Kenzo said. Their raw meat came with the hotpot as Kenzo started grilling the raw thin-sliced meats.

"So, what do you think of the job?" Caleb asked.

"I can handle it," Kenzo told him.

"The HR management told me that I shouldn't put you in that position since you didn't graduate for a four-year course. But, I know that you can do it."

"Victoria had a computer in the house and she told me to use it. I can take two hours of online classes for software."

"It's very easy. Just go for a tutorial. It's much easier that way."

"But, I need a certificate for it, right?" They started digging for the meat wrapping it in lettuce.

"Yeah, but for me, knowledge is what I need more. You can go for it." Caleb said. "Saturday and Sunday will do."

Kenzo glanced at Victoria who didn't seem to eat a lot. She's more on grilling the meats rather than eating. But her friend beside her was telling her to eat this and eat that.

"Hey," Caleb snapped his fingers in front of Kenzo. "Stop staring at your wife. Why won't you just go there and say hi?"

"Something is bothering my wife," Kenzo told him. "Let's finish the food. I don't want the team to say something bad behind my back"

"Don't worry about it, they are probably eating somewhere too." Caleb waved at him. "By the way, there is this dinner party at Parson's and I am sure Victoria will be there with you."

"Hmm, I don't think that she could go there."

They finished their food and didn't ask for another set. Caleb paid the bills.

"Next time, I'm going to treat you to any restaurant you wanted," Kenzo promised him. Caleb grinned.

"I will wait for that."

"Sure, no problem." Kenzo grinned.

They stood and Kenzo waved at Victoria. She stopped and stared at him for a moment. She excused herself and approached him. He wiped her lips that still have the stain of the sauce.

"You are here too." She looked at Caleb who waved at her.

"I didn't interrupt your meeting a while ago."

Kenzo reached her hand.

"What do you want for dinner? I'm going to cook."

"I'll eat anything."

"Okay." He bent down and kissed her lips. "I will go now."

She nodded at him. Kenzo told her to go back and she did. He left the restaurant and followed Caleb outside.

"Did you notice how they looked at her," Caleb said.

"I noticed one person who kept on glancing at her.." Kenzo glared at the man sitting in front of Victoria.
