Pilo Marduque
He had gained wealth because of a royal family and had kept a secret for a long. The maid was a mistress, it was also the woman that he married. Even a mistress has a fortune from her lover.
However, with the money that the man put to Kaisley's name, it'll be hard for him to use it. He doesn't have that access. His business was also failing. Now, the marriage didn't work. He sold off the girl that wasn't his blood for the sake of business and nothing worked.
"What are we going to do now?" The long mistress that he was seeing, now his wife, Clarisa. He cheated on his wife. The one that he had no choice to marry. He didn't even get between her legs and she was always taking care of that girl that wasn't even his daughter. But now, she's a powerful woman and he regrets his dumb decisions. "How about the funds that you are talking about? Kaisley's insurance."
"I can't even hold it, myself," Kean grumbled and sipped on his wine. "Even the Frontier fails."
"It's all because of your daughter!" Clarisa exclaimed, blaming it all on Kaisley.
No one knows that Kaisley wasn't his real daughter. She's a bastard of a nobleman. He never found out the man that she had an affair with but that's what at least he knows. However, as he digs into her mother's past. Her mother was once a maid in the Royal Castle and he guessed that there might be a noble who had fancy her.
"It's not entirely her fault." Kean has to admit that it wasn't Kaisley's fault. If only the asshole husband didn't hurt her and violate her. Their life would be better. "You have to cut off your shopping. That goes with our daughter too."
Clarisa rolled her eyes. They have to even pay big to bail out their daughter for hurting Kaisley and caused a miscarriage. This is insane. Starting when he took that daughter back, everything just changed. Their family becomes drastic.
"How is she living so well while her sister is suffering?"
"It's your daughter's fault for seducing the married man!" He scolded her and that made her shut up. His head was aching so hard since early in the morning and she came just to nag him. "You should tell that to your daughter rather than ruining someone's marriage!"
"She's not the only one who was involved!" Clarisa talked back. His blood boiled and rushed up to his head as he lay a hand to her by slapping her cheek. Clarisa was too surprised.
"I will have your cards confiscated. Including your daughter."
He had no choice but to cut off a few expenses. They also removed a few maids to make his wife do all the work. He tried hard to call many times but when he couldn't. He called her office. It's hard to reach someone who is on top of the chain. Kaisley completely cut him off.

Kaisley felt like she's indeed home having King Edgar and Prince Philip eating with her, with an addition of a loving fiance and talking about lots of beautiful and fun stuff. Her life is almost complete and she just wished that her mother was alive to see this.
"Well, since Victoria is sick. They can't come in here. Also, Mave and Stacey need some time alone." Caleb said. "I am just reminding you guys why the others are absent."
"It's completely fine. We are here to check something with Kaisley about the coronation." The Prince said. Kaisley momentarily stopped eating.
"Uhm, is it necessary, grandpa? I mean, I'm just adopted."
"It is necessary." King Edgar said. "You are our family now, Kaisley. Our granddaughter if that's what you like. Or maybe a niece?" The old men chuckled.
Kaisley giggled and nodded at them.
"No matter what it was, I am happy to be part of your family. And I will do everything to grow this Empire."
"That's our girl!" Prince Philip exclaimed. "Well, my dear. Your health should be taken care of. Okay? I know that both of you are busy but as soon as you are married, you have to work less to focus on building a family."
Caleb and Kaisley looked at each other. Kaisley hasn't moved on yet for her loss, but she's moving forward slowly. She loved her unborn child although she didn't love the father. And she wanted to give love to her future children. It was partially her fault for not taking care of herself at that time.
"We will, granddads." Kaisley smiled. "I wanted to have a big family. Like five children with Cal."
"Wow," King Edgar mumbled. "That's amazing, my dear."
"Although I lost one, I wanted to keep trying. I wanted to be happy." Kaisley said softly and pursed her lips.
"Are you happy now, my dear?" Prince Philip asked. Kaisley nodded.
"I am so happy that I am with people who don't hurt me. I am loved."
"Babe," Caleb reached her hand and kissed it.
They knew that what Kaisley had gone through is unimaginable. She was strong. And for Kaisley, she wanted to lift a banner to stop domestic violence. It's not just women who always get violated inside the house. It's not just children. But some men are also being abused by their spouses or partner.
Suddenly, Caleb's phone vibrates in the notification. Although they have a rule not to have any phone in during mealtime, he couldn't help but to excuse himself and checked the notification. His brows furrowed. He didn't want to open it up. But maybe later.
The dinner was splendid. Kaisley was happy to have two granddads who were very supportive toward her. They gave her enough resources for the projects that she wanted. She doesn't go shopping much for herself. A tailor would only check up on her if she has dresses for certain events. The Duke and the King stayed for a night and drank with them. They also discuss a few things with Kaisley regarding the coronation.
After that, Caleb finally had time to speak to Kaisley. They escorted the King and the Prince to their rooms. The couple was holding hands together as they walked into the garden.
"So, what is that message about?"
"It's Mave." He said and squeezed her hand gently.
"Hmm, what happened?"
Caleb sighed, feeling a little depressed.
"Well, Stacey still has those nightmares and he said that your father was trying to reach you out for days now."
"That's because his business went bankrupt, also the Frontier."
"Hmm, you are right." Caleb kissed her hand. "I don't want to stress you for our off day."
"You didn't." She giggled. "I had a good afternoon sleep. I still have energy for you."
Caleb stopped walking and she stood next to him. He turned to her and reached both of her hands.
"You are amazing, my love. I always love… and I love you now, and probably will love you more for the following days. I just want to say that I will always stay here with you to help you in your ups and downs… and to help you through dark times and to be there to witness your good times."
She giggled and nodded at him.
"Why are you saying this now?"
"Well, that's one way to say that I love you so much. My heart right now literally feels like it's going to explode. It's crazy."
Kaisley smiled and everything glowed around them. She glows whenever she smiles like that. She's happy.
"I love you so much, Cal."
He bent down and kissed her forehead.
"Alright, let me carry you back to our room. Let's reserve that energy for later."
He turned back from her to give her a piggyback ride. She wasn't born in a noble family that's why she jumped over his back and wrapped her arms around him tightly. He started walking back inside.
"I might still be able to carry like this when we are old."
"Babe, your back will really hurt." Kaisley giggled as she imagined it. He might not be able to carry her when she gets fat. "I will maintain my figure after giving you, five children."
"That's a good plan." He laughed. "I will also have to continue with my workout to maintain my muscles. I also need to drink more calcium to make sure that my bones are strong enough to carry you like this."
She giggled and kissed his cheeks.
"Would you still carry me even though I get ugly and have a lot of wrinkles?"
"Babe, you are always beautiful in my eyes." He said and walked through the long stairs. He was breathing normally like her weight was nothing. "You gain weight which is good." He said. "Gain some more. Okay?"
"Okay? Like five pounds?"
"Ten pounds. You should have more flesh, babe. Like before…"
"Do you like my curvy body like before? I think I like it when I'm skinny."
"Babe, we'll work out together." He said it, like a promise.
She used her hand to reach the doorknob and opened their bedroom.
"Okay, uh. We can do some stretching by tomorrow." She suggested.
"Sure thing!"
She jumped off from him and removed her doll shoes to replace them with comfortable fluffy slippers.
"I'll prepare a hot bubble bath."
"Babe, did you bring that wand? The vibrating wand?" She asked.
Caleb's cheeks flushed as his blood ran down to his lower part. He quickly removed his shirt, kicked off his shoes, and removed his pants. She squirmed and laughed as she rushed to the bed.
"You are tempting me," Caleb growled like a wolf to tease her.
Kaisley smiled at him, staring at his sexy naked body.
