Chapter 178 - Good Things After Catastrophe

Caleb woke up an hour after Kenzo's visit. Victoria had gone for a while to buy the sort of things for them and Kaisley never left his side. He winced at his whole body. His head was aching so much and his arms but his whole body can't move because of the pain in his head.

"Don't force yourself." Kaisley kissed his forehead lightly. "What do you want my dear? I already called the doctor…"

"I need a bathroom, babe." He said. "I think I can walk."

Kaisley helped to the bathroom and do other necessary things. She assisted him with the rest and took him back to the bed as the doctor checked everything on him. If he was hurt somewhere else. It's a normal check-up and the doctor prescribes painkillers. After the doctors and nurses left, Victoria approached them.

"Cal, what do you want to eat?" Victoria asked.

"Everything." Caleb smiled. It made Kaisley frown.

"Should I buy everything in every restaurant?" Victoria crossed her arms. "It's past lunch, Cal."

"Oh, that's why I want to eat everything." He joked to make Kaisley laugh. "Have you eaten, babe?" He asked and caressed his wife's hair.

"No. She hasn't eaten." Victoria was the one to answer just to make sure that all of them had their meal.

"I'll help you," Kaisley said.

"No. It's fine. You are injured." Victoria smiled at them and arranged their food on the table tray that can rotate to them.

The couple eats happily and Victoria can't still eat unless her darling has eaten. She kept on trying to call him but he didn't answer, which made her so worried. So, she texted him instead if she had eaten. But then, the door opened and she felt a thorn that was pulled out from her chest. She quickly rushed to him and hugged him.

"What's wrong?" Kenzo asked and patted her head.

"Did you eat your lunch?" She gently pushed herself and looked up at him.

"Are you worried about that?" he asked and scooped her face.

"I bought us lunch. Secretary Bryan and your bodyguards with you should eat so you can solve this without getting sick."

Caleb and Kaisley stopped eating just to see how Victoria greeted Kenzo. Their hearts started pounding for Victoria. Never did they think that she would even care for the bodyguards and Secretary Bryan. They are all big men after all, yet she worried about them, not just about her husband.

"I see that there are lots of foods and snacks in the foyer." He smiled. "Don't worry, love. You already set up everything." He patted her head again. "You did well, my Duchess. Now, let me take care of you."

Caleb and Kaisley were completely mesmerized by the romance of the Duke and Duchess of Westeria. Like they are in a romantic movie. The two sipped on their drink as Victoria waved at them to go to the other room to have their meal. Once they left, Kaisley had his twinkling eyes toward the closed door where Victoria and Kenzo exited.

"Wow, I never thought that they could be this dramatic," Kaisley said.

"When you aren't with me, they show a lot of affection and care toward each other. They just met that night and I was their cupid." Caleb said proudly.

"They brought us all together." She reached her husband's cheeks and kissed his ear.

Kenzo watched as his wife put food on his plate and she also prepared nutritious drinks that were delicious enough to want more. His wife always prepared for perfection and he was never disappointed. He will never be disappointed. After their meal, Kenzo reached her hand and looked at her seriously.

"My love, the thing that happened to Caleb and Kaisley might happen again. Maybe to you, to me, or Mave and Stacey. So, I will increase your bodyguards and you have to know all of their faces. Okay?"

"Yes, love."

"You should look them right into the eyes, remember that."

"I will." She nodded. "So, how's the investigation?"

"We got them. They claimed that they were against the Prince and Princess." He stood and moved his seat closer to her since they were sitting across from each other.

"Hmm," She nodded at him.

"Don't worry. They will be fine." He said softly. "For now, you have to wait at home and practice your self-defense. Also marksman."

"I will do it. Don't worry." She smiled at him and hugged him. "For now, let me stay with Cal and Kai."

"Yes." He nodded.

"But can we go shopping? I don't have any more clothes."

"Sure." He patted her head. "Let's relax a bit. I already had people to solve this case."

"I will brush my teeth first so we can go."

He waited for his wife and he only chewed some mint on. He went to Kaisley and Caleb who were having a serious conversation and the two stopped. Then, Caleb smiled at him nervously.

"Okay, the two of you can't leave this room." He approached them and handed them a small device. "If anything happens, ring this, and the squad will come and save both of you."

"Don't be too serious. The two of you are just going out shopping." Caleb laughed. "Buy us some fruit tea on the way."

"Sure." He hugged Caleb and then next Kaisley. "There are possible assassins on the way. The chopper will be here later. This is top-secret. We have to bring back the two of you to the Royal Capital."

"Thanks, bro."

Kenzo looked at them for a while and then he left. That's when his wife came out and took her purse.

"Let's go?" He asked and he reached her hand.

They left the hospital with five bodyguards. They disguise themselves with eyeglasses and hats. Somehow, they have to stay in Marduque until Maverick and Stacey come back from their honeymoon. He has been busy for days and this time, since it's Sunday, he has to at least take care of his wife and let the other matters be handled by their people. They should have a break in this catastrophe.

"I already wore a hundred clothes back at home." She told him.

"So, are we going to change your wardrobe?"

"No. Of course not. I'm going to wear it for the next few days. I already set up what to wear."

They are currently walking in the Edward Shopping Center, with their hands intertwined together.

"We can set up customized clothes for your social gathering. You need to dress to impress." He told her.

"Yeah, sure." She smiled at him. "When will that be?"

"You can set up a gathering in our castle or maybe accept one of the invitations from the noble family."

"That's a lot of work." She said, "Yeah, I have to do that somehow."

"Good girl."

They kept walking and walking until she found a dress that she liked. Finally, they entered a jewelry shop. But when Victoria recognized the shop where she was about to buy a watch for her husband… she felt a little worried so she held her husband.

"Let's go to another shop." She said and he nodded. Then, when they turned around, it's just the time when Jason and Katarina entered. Victoria met Katarina's eyes while Kenzo met Jason's eyes.

"Oh, sister!" Katarina greeted me with a big smile. "You are here. Why won't we shop together?"

"Sorry, Katarina. But it's a date with my hubby."

"Oh," Katarina acted innocent. "We can have a double day. It's been a while since we bonded."

Victoria exhaled.

"Katarina, we never bond. Every time that I have a date, why are you trying to ruin it?" Victoria asked cockily.

"Victoria it's not like that." Katrina acted so innocently. "Does it mean that you haven't moved on yet?" That's when Victoria noticed that Katarina's lips twitched.

Victoria looked at her annoyingly.

"I already moved on when I witnessed the cheaters." She hugged her husband's arm. "It's a good thing that I found someone so much better."

"Love, let's just congratulate them on their engagement. I heard that they are getting married." Kenzo smiled down at his wife.

"Oh?" Victoria showed excitement. She's excited to make them suffer. "Congratulations, Jason, Katarina. I hope that you won't make any other scandals and ruin the Parson's reputation."

Kenzo chuckled and patted her head.

"Let's just give them best wishes," Kenzo told his wife kindly. "Then, I'll send our gift when it's settled. We are leaving." He said as he always kept his chin up like his wife.

The two didn't bow their heads but then, few people already recognized the Duke and the Duchess as they took photos of them secretly.

"What do you think we should give?" Kenzo asked as Victoria was also in a big thought.

"I think Secretary Bryan will know?" She asked. "If he's too busy then I will ask Pauline."

"Yes, you should ask Pauline." They entered a stationary that Victoria loved and she quickly slipped off her hand from him and started looking around. Kenzo smiled and watched her do that. She loves stationary because she was the only one who set up his office with stationaries that he needed. It was organized with love notes from her.

"You love stationery more than me?" Kenzo asked and held the basket for her.

"I love you more that's why I am buying adorable stationery." She winked at him. "I love you, baby. You are so handsome." She winked and made a heart shape with her hands.

Kenzo chuckled and patted her head.

"Stop acting cute."
