173 Faithe Malkia's Strategy C173

The small rubies-like pieces of meat were emitting a fragrance which drifted everywhere, arousing the appetite of each.

"The name of this dish is Rubymeat Cubes. Enjoy to your heart's content."

Placing five cubes in each plate, Pyrus Ignait glanced at Faithe Malkia and went back to cook the next batch.

Seeing his glance Faithe Malkia grinned and walked up to the plates, before distributing them among the Longevity Realm experts. She was a hyperactive girl and sitting down for more than a minute bored her, therefore she had volunteered herself to take on such a role.

After expressing their thanks to both the chef and the newly appointed waitress, the experts didn't wait a moment before dig in.

Taking the first cube of meat with their chopsticks, they blew it to cool it down before they took a bite. Their expressions quickly turned blissful as they gulped down the meat. For the first time in their lives they felt they were really in heaven.

Looking at their expressions Shu Himo was dumbfounded. Wasn't it too similar to the expressions he saw in some anime? Did they have to be so exaggerated?

Seeing their reaction, he became impatient to taste the dish without realizing.

Minutes later, Faithe Malkia arrived with a plate on hand. On the plate five rubies of meat were standing close to each other, shining as if they were a priceless treasure.

"Hehe." She chuckled. "L-e-a-d-e-r, I saw you fighting earlier on the ship… later, you will play with me too, right?" Her voice could hardly hide her excitement for having found a new opponent to play with. Even if there was a difference in cultivation realm, it would not be a problem for her to suppress it to Shu Himo's realm.

Shu Himo was startled for a moment but quickly calmed down, "Sure, but can we postpone it for a week?"

"Why?"

"I haven't seen my family in a while, so before departing I want to stay a week with them… it isn't a problem to stop the flying ship close to the capital for a week, isn't it?"

Shu Aria—who overheard their conversation—rejoiced when she heard his phrase.

"There is no problem with stopping the flying ship, anyway most of the members never walk out of their rooms— they may not even notice it. And stopping close to a city once in a while would not hurt anyway." She herself did not walk in a city from a while, so she was happy about the idea.

"That's great." Shu Himo sighed in relief. "Then we'll fight a week from now."

"Okay!" Faithe Malkia posed the dish on the table in front of Shu Himo and walked back. She was a bit disappointed over the need to wait a week, but she was still happy over him accepting.

Just the thought of how everyone else was too scared to accept her invite she sighed.

Shu Mo, who overheard their conversation had conflicted feelings.

Watching her walk away, Shu Himo sighed. 'I may be excited to fight, but she is on a completely different level... She is no short from being obsessed with it.'

For unknown reasons that fact excited him. Was he as obsessed as her without knowing it?

While he was lost in thought the fragrance from the meat entered his nostrils, enchanting him out of his thoughts.

His gaze directed to the five meat-jewels and he then took a bite. Upon contact with his tongue the red membrane melted and spread a sweet taste. Meanwhile, the meat was chewy and easy to swallow.

Shu Himo's eyes widened in shock. The moment the meat reached his stomach he suddenly felt the Qi in his body start moving, flowing in his meridians continuously. To his surprise, with each Qi rotation his constitution was reinforced, albeit by just a small amount.

He was sure that if he were to check his status after eating the stats would have increased by at least a few numbers. Even if it was just a meal, its effect was easily comparable to a high-quality pill.

While Shu Himo was worrying about the proprieties of the meat, Faithe Malkia continued distributing the meat.

Minutes later, Faithe Malkia finally brought a plate full of rubies-meat to the plump man.

As she walked closer to him her smile grew wider. "The chef said that if you dare to steal someone else's meat I am free to punish you…"

The plump man's heart almost leaped out of his chest and he weakly replied, "How much…?"

"A whole week!"

While she could not force someone against their will, if it was a punishment no one would stop her from forcing him to play… right? She needed to wait a week before playing with Shu Himo anyway.

After a lot of time passed with everyone running from her invites, she came up with various strategies, and punishments were just one of them.

In front of her threat, the plump man paled in fright. "A week…" He mumbled to himself, scared for his own survival.

He knew that he could not ignore her for if he dared, he may risk to not see anymore the food cooked by Pyrus Ignait.

His original plan was to stealthily obtain some additional cubes of meat… but at that moment he started to hesitate.

Seeing his reaction Faithe Malkia was full of expectations.

After serving the meat to the plump man, Faithe Malkia posed two plates in an empty table close to him. Her actions puzzled everyone apart from the Winged Freaks' members, but even if puzzled by it no one said anything about it.

When no one was looking, the two plates vanished.

On top of a building, there were seated two figures. One was a girl with a demonic aura around her, while the other was a divine man, with divine features resembling perfection.

In their hands, there was a plate with four Rubymeat cubes each.
