Chapter 171 - 171 Wedding (Part 2)

"Grandpa..." October's voice trailed off as she also got a surge of emotions. She slowly stood up from her chair and walked up to her grandpa. She felt like her nose to tingle and her eyes blurred from tears. She only stopped a few feet away from her grandpa and acted like a small child, wanting to be praised.

"Aiyo. Why are you crying? Smile, smile. This is a happy occassion." Grandpa He said this yet he also was trying his best to hold back his tears from dropping. His voice was also cracking.

He looked at his beautiful granddaughter and a face overlapped on hers. A sting was felt in the deepest parts of his heart, stirring him up yet again. This time, a tear slipped from his eye and trailed down his cheek. He was not able to notice this, only October.

Shaking tremendously, his rough hand raised and reached out to rest of October's soft cheeks. His eyes softened and full of affection as he carressed her cheek.

"Grandpa, thank you." October could not say something else aside from this heartfelt words. She was really grateful to her grandpa. Her heart squeezed as soon as she saw a tear sliding down her grandpa's face.

She was not expecting this to happen. She looked up and stared at his aged eyes, she could only see his unconditional love to her. It was so pure and strong, giving her warmth that enveloped her whole body. It was without a doubt that her grandpa would most probably give the world to her if she wished to, that's how he loved her and she knew that.

However, this was enough. Having him was enough for her to strive for a more brighter future. He was the one caught her when she fell.

Of course, October knew the worried of Grandpa He and she could only try to reassure him. With a geniune smile on her pink lips, she said, "It's okay, grandpa. I can take care of myself. I'm not that weak, you know? Also, I am at ease knowing that I have you as a family I can lean to."

"Good. It's good that you know that you have me." Grandpa He said after collecting himself. His smile so gentle as he tenderly patted her granddaughter's head.

Ah yes, he always did this when she was still a child. It seemed like it was just yesterday when he would play with her secretly. Now, however, he was seeing his dear granddaughter wearing such glowing face and excited smile donned in her white wedding dress which he picked himself.

"Are you getting cold feet? Do you want to run away? Tell me and I'll help you escape him. There's nothing to worry about the repercussion for your grandpa can take care of it easily." Grandpa He suggested ever so happily. He was really expectant of getting an affirmation from his granddaughter, his eyes looking intently at her pretty face.

October felt her body stiffen and her lips twitch furiously. She really does not know why her grandpa was so against this marriage. Is it because of the suddenness of this and her pregnancy?

However, she chose this and she will see it through.

"Grandpa." She started with a dark smile in her face. Sure enough, Grandpa He flinched at this, giving out an awkward laugh. "If you don't want to escort me, just tell me for I can go there by myself."

"Uh! Lan'er! Joking. It was just a joke. Haha..ha..ha." After this, his aged face turned gentle yet again and said in a very serious voice tinged with sadness, "You look just like your mother."

A sharp tug in her c.h.e.s.t cnan be felt and she looked up only to see her grandpa looking at her with unfocused eyes. He was looking at her yet not for he was seeing another face over hers.

"Thank you, grandpa."

"It's time, young madam, Master He." He informed with a solemn face.

"Well then, granddaughter. Let your old grandpa escort you to your wedding." He said as he offered his arms for October which she gladly accepted and encircled her arm around his.

The two then exited the room linked arms. As they walked down the hallway toward the exit, there were people there loitering around only for them to stop in awe at October. There eyes fixated on her beautiful figure and stunning face. It was as if a goddess walked pass them. The people only regained their senses when the door of the car slammed shut, with October inside, and drove off.

In that hotel, people were blushing furiously and roared in excitement. It was as if they saw a famous actress. Without knowing who she was, some clever people approached the front desk of the hotel to ask for the name of that gorgeous woman but it was not disclosed to them much to their dismay.

"They're on the way, young master." Assistant Yu whispered to Lexus who has now a very impatient look on his face. His hands were even shaking and his guts were jumping and making backlfips in his stomach that made his face pale.

Lexus' face had a snarl on at this time as he waited for that time where his bride will arrive and get escorted to walk on the aisle. He was getting impatient. He had not seen his wife for only a few hours and yet he had already missed her so much. Now, his face had on a snarl and so dark. The only description the people who saw his expression was that of demon with his horns protruding on his forehead.

"Mm." Was all his reply to this. His expression may not have changed much but inside, he was excited. He wanted for his bride to arrive a little faster.

Awhile later, another bodyguard came in and said, "The bride has arrived."

After saying that, ceremony had started. The groom then went in front of the altar, waiting for October.
