A mask was placed on the girl's mouth seemingly an oxygen mask to help her breathe properly. Her usually rosy cheek now turned as pale as a sheet. The girl's eyebrow subconsciously furrowed showing what she felt right now.

Nan Shen approached the girl lying on the bed very carefully as he scanned down to the girl's body. The girl was wearing hospital clothes with a blanket on top of her body. There was no sight of blood but below the blanket, he was sure he would see at least the freshly treated wound on her stomach.

Nan Shen trembled as he slowly took Tan Hua's other hand without the IV. The girl's hand was cold, very cold unlike before. It was warm whenever he holds this girl's hand but now...the warmth disappears replaced by coldness.
