63 Disowned!

Annoyed that her beautiful wedding dress was already destroyed and her upcoming wedding is in jeopardy, Catherine went to her room and drag her sister outside.

"Get out of her! You don't deserve to live in this house! You can't even keep your mouth shut! I don't want to see your face ever again! From now on I already disowned you, you are no longer my sister!" Not satisfied with her shouting she went back into her room and hurled the backpack into Caroline's body almost knocking her with the impact, the heavy backpack fell into Caroline's feet and she winced in pain.

Grace's eyes widened because of the rage and outburst that Catherine was displaying in front of her. She had never seen her cousin so angry and violent like this!

"GET OUUUUUUUUUTTT!" Catherine screamed at her twin.

When her sister was not moving to obey her order, she walked closer to her and was about to slap her again, good thing Grace was quick enough to block her cousin's arms by preventing her palm from reaching Caroline's already swollen red face which at this point can be likened to that of an overripe tomatoes.

Catherine's too loud voice must have echoed out of the house again because the gossiping neighbors tried to peek again at the closed jalousie window curious to know what was happening inside.

Thelma who was sitting quietly in the corner walked towards the kitchen and again filled the pitcher with water. She slowly walked towards the door and opened the window, then she quickly hurled the water into the gossipmonger people outside, then closed back the window. She heard the people outside swearing profanities under their breath the second time around.

One of them is Allan, water was dripping from his wet hair down to his face. He was directly outside the window trying to gather further updates to report to his Boss John, later. It's actually the second time around that her face was splashed with water, good thing his cell phone was waterproof. He smelled the water that was dripping from his hair, it does not smell of urine! lol. Thank God!

He sighed.

He walked towards the corner of the house out of the window's reach and wipe his face with the face towel he retrieves from his backpack. Then he scanned the photos that he was able to take, only 4 shots, one when Grace entered the door, two~he was able to capture a photo of the girl wearing a white dress sprawled on the floor. Then another photo of Catherine her face was crying. Then the fourth one, photos of the people milling around the house.

He went to the door and pressed his ears on the hardwood, he can no longer hear Catherine's voice. He will just have to wait for a while maybe he can still gather more photos to send to his boss.

While inside the house...

Grace pulled Catherine into her room, with every intention to calmed her down.

"Cousin, please stop screaming at your sister. The neighbors are already gossiping outside, this is very humiliating. Can you please lower your voice!" she whispered.

Catherine released a deep sigh and began crying again covering her face with her hands. Grace hugged her cousin and rubbed her back. "Shhh, stop crying! You have to settle your conflict with your sister right now before the night is over. Your sister has nowhere to live. You can't possibly send her away just because of this misunderstanding."

Catherine shook her head. "No! She ruined my wedding, ruin my wedding gown! If only she had kept her mouth shut all these won't be happening at all. Now that mother knows about everything she won't allow me to marry John. She can no longer accept him as her son in law! My marriage is ruined!"

She continues sobbing in Grace's arms.

"Don't worry, I will talk to your Mother. I will try to convince her to allow you to marry John. He is trying to correct his wrongdoing, your mother should see things outside the box and not let anger and negativity prevail. Regarding Caroline, she can stay at my house as long as she wants. It's better that she will stay with me rather than send her away knowing she has no other relatives except us."

"Thanks, Cousin," said Catherine.

Grace went out of the room and walked towards Caroline and Thelma.

"Auntie, I will bring Caroline into my house. She can stay there for the time being until such time Catherine's anger will fade away, hope it will be sooner the better."

"Thank you Grace," said Thelma.

"Don't mention it, Auntie. Let's go now, Caroline!" Grace picked up the backpack and hoisted it at her back. She holds Caroline's hands and pulls her towards the door. When she opened the door, she rolled her eyes, a handful of gossipmongering neighbors were staring at them.

Grace closed the door behind her.

"Jesus! The show is over guys! Go home and sleep!" she shouted wryly. She saw a flash of camera directed at them. "Who took pictures?!" she shouted angrily. Nobody answered.

The crowd began dispersing until no one is left.

Grace continues holding Caroline's hands and they sauntered towards her house which is just a few meters away. After they entered the house, the maid said that the children already had fallen asleep in the vacant room. Grace decided not to awaken the children and let them sleep over.

"Caroline, you can sleep beside your siblings in that room." They walked towards the room on the left side. Grace opened it for her younger cousin to enter.

She only left the room when she saw Caroline settled comfortably in the bed beside her younger siblings. She closed the door softly. She went out of her house again and strolled back towards Catherine's rented house.

When she entered the house, the mother and daughter were still sitting on the wooden bench, not talking to each other.

"Auntie...Caroline was now sleeping beside Jacob and Lily in one of the empty room in my house. I'm back here because I wanted to talk to the two of you on how to settle this matter..."

Grace sat down in the middle of Catherine and her mother thinking hard how to make the two compromise to each other.

Whewww...!

It's gonna be such a long long night ahead.
