Catherine was baking a moist chocolate cake in the kitchen using the oven John gave her. She was enjoying the baking experience once again. She managed to bake 3 single layer cake using the baking pan she had purchased the other day in the mall with John.
"Your chocolate cake tastes really good for a beginner like you," commented Minerva.
"Really? I think it's still far from perfect yet," she replied. The art of baking is not easy to master. But she isn't rushing the experience, she will take her time and enjoy her baking journey.
Minerva had already devoured one slice of the cake and wanting to add more to her plate. "Can I have more?" she asked.
"Okay, no problem, you can eat as much as you like, you can also give Allan some slice of cake if he wants," offered Catherine.
"Good idea," Minerva took a plate and spoon and put two slices of cake on it and handed it to Allan who was guarding the door outside the condo.
Catherine set aside the remaining layer of chocolate cake for John's coming later. In his text message he informed her that he will be bringing along a visitor with him when she asked who is the visitor, he did not reply.
She was curious who is the visitor he was talking about? Why is he being secretive all of a sudden?
Hmmm?
Nothing comes up in her mind no matter how hard she tried to guess.
She finished cleaning the oven and the table, then she proceeds to start washing the dirty baking utensils in the sink. She put all the washed utensil in the dish drainer to dry, she sauntered towards the bedroom and cleaned herself in the bathroom and then changes into clean and presentable clothes since she will be meeting John's visitor later.
She lies down on the bed to rest for a while waiting for John's coming. She played the nursery rhymes video for her son to listen inside her womb. Later, she will be watching her favorite cooking show. She finds joy in watching other people doing baking, cooking and preparing dishes for their family and loved ones.
While she was listening to the nursery rhymes she fell asleep.
She woke up later to the sound of the door slowly opening, as if the person who opens it was careful not to disturb her sleep.
John entered the room and closed the door behind him.
Catherine sat down on the bed. "You just arrive?" she asked. She arranged her hair on her back as they were scattered all over her face.
He walked to her side and kissed her on the lips.
"Where's your moist chocolate cake? I'm dying to taste it with my mouth," he said. Then he acted as if he was drooling of the imaginary cake.
She smiled at him, amused.
"It's in the kitchen," she answered. "By the way, who is the visitor you are talking about earlier?" she asked.
John sat beside her on the bed. "Cath, my best friend Romeo is here to apologize to you regarding those women he provided me with as my blind date," said John softly.
Catherine's face darkens instantly. She has been waiting for this day that she and Romeo will come face to face. Her hands were itching to slap his face left and right. She wanted to hurt him badly!

"Please calm down, Cath. If you won't calm down, I will send him away right now. I don't want you two quarreling and arguing at each other because of those women," John explained carefully.
"Romeo is responsible for bringing Ella into your life, right?" she asked in a cold voice.
"But, Cath, please understand, my best friend means no harm. Please do not make a big issue out of this. I just want you and Romeo to treat each other normally with no ill feelings. Okay?" John asked.
"Fine. I will see him. Where is he right now?" she asked. Deep inside the resentment, she felt for Romeo was like brewing lava ready to explode.
"In the living room waiting for you to see him. Please calm down, okay? Let him talk and say his piece, please give him a chance to apologize, please be reasonable," John said in a gentle voice hoping she will listen.
She didn't answer. She walked towards the door and get out of the room heading towards the living room area.
There she saw Romeo, sitting on the sofa. She sat down in front of him. Right now while she was looking at him, she wanted to tear him into pieces.
"Hello, Cath. I'm here to apologize regarding those women I made John meet for his blind dates. I have been eaten with guilt the whole time," he confesses.
"You should be! Are you Phantom?" she hissed in a low hard voice.
Romeo was not able to answer right away. But he decided not to reveal to her the truth that he posed as Phantom if John will know about it, he will be forever screwed in his best friend's eyes, he was hoping Catherine will not include Phantom in their conversation. She has no evidence anyways, so he might as well keep his mouth shut.
"No. I'm not," he answered.
"Liar!" she was furious. "Why did you bring those girls to meet John? Are you trying to break us apart from each other? What is your purpose?!" she was already seething with rage.
Romeo sighed. "No. That was not my intention in the first place, you left my friend alone, he was so lonely and devastated when you abandon him, I tried to cheer him up by urging him to meet new women in his life, I was thinking way back then that you no longer love him so I took the initiative to help him overcome his loneliness. I wasn't expecting that you two will find each other again, but even if those girls were eager to hook up with him he turned them down one by one. I'm so sorry about Ella, she was the woman that gives you the most pain and trouble, if I have known in advance that she can be a pain in the ass I would not allow her to meet John," he concluded. He finally said his piece.
