Chapter 175 - Sky City

Xi Ana was busy looking at some documents as usual when Wang Xinyi entered her office.

"President, at lunch today I saw Young Master Li and Master Feng in the restaurant where I ordered food for our meal and it seems like they will be meeting with each other." Wang Xinyi said respectfully as she reported what she had seen earlier.

Whenever it is about work or outside, Wang Xinyi wuld never forget to use appropriate address towards other people even if she is quite close to them in person just to avoid any misunderstandings when heard by others.

That is also the reason why it is very rare for her to call Xi Ana jiejie inside the office. Furthermore, using such addresses is also her way of showing professionalism just like how she was thought to do so.

Since she grew up under Xi Ana's wing, it is only natural that she knew about the people close to her jiejie.

On the other hand, Xi Ana frowned upon hearing what Wang Xinyi just said. "You saw Li Jingli and Father together? Are you sure you didn't see wrong?"

Xi Ana cannot be blamed with her reaction because as far as she knows there is no connection between the two which gives them no reason to meet so if Wang Xinyi is claiming that she saw them together, she would definitely doubt at first.

In this case, Xi Ana completely forgot that there is her that serves as a connection between them. Unfortunately, there is no one who would remind her that right now.

"I initially thought so as well but Young Master Li's ȧssistant was the one who booked the room and Master Feng also went out to meet with someone for lunch today even declining Young Master Chen's invitation. I decided to tell President about it because I just find it a little weird considering tha there is almost no interaction between Young Master Li and Master Feng."

If this is Hannah, she would probably not say something as trivial as this but because Wang Xinyi had stayed longer with her and knew most of the things that others don't, it is only natural that she would report this matter to her.

Whenever Xi Ana is thinking, the pen on her hand would move constantly and when she's done, the pen would eventually stop. If Li Jingli and her father really met earlier today then just what could possibly be the reason why they were meeting?

Is Li Jingli planning to do something that has something to do with her father, or does he have a question for him that Xi Ana doesn't know?

She tried to think for a while but when she can't pinpoint anything she decided to just give and just ask Li Jingli later since they will be meeting after work anyway. Thinking about something she can just ask him about would only waste her time.

Xi Ana finished everything she needed to do for the day earlier so that she can with the others earlier. Before leaving Xi Corporation she first gave Lim Yi Sheng a call to tell him that she would be meeting with Li Jingli and Fang Wenna in the evening which may cause her to go home a little later than usual.

She dialed her husband's number and as if automatically, the call was immediately answered and she heard Lim Yi Sheng's voice instantly. "Hello, Ana? Are you done for the day? Should I pick you up now?"

Earlier today, Lim Yi Sheng told her that if he has a free time in the evening he would pick her up so they could go home together but because the two came today and they needed to talk, they will not be able to go home together anymore for the day.

"Yeah, but I still need to meet with Jingli and Wenna in a while. They arrived in the city this morning and since my only free time is in the evening, we'll need to do our talk tonight. Dear, we'll need to do a rain check for today."

Xi Ana felt guilty because it's been a few days since they last went home together and just when they had a bit of time, she had to do another meeting again.

"It's fine. It's not like today is the only day, we can go home together some other time. Will you talk about the issue with the Crown International with them?" Lim Yi Sheng already know about Crown International.

Xi Ana already mentioned the matter about Crown International to her husband before so he already knew about their involvement with it even before the issue was publicized. Even the reason behind its existence is already not a secret from him.

Little by little, Xi Ana has been telling these things that were once a secret from him. This way, even their relationship is strengthened more than it already is.

"Yes, that is the reason why they both came to the city at the same time. There are also some documents that needs all of our signatures. We've already dragged on for a while, prolonging it won't do us any good."

In all legal matters, the four of them are the owners of Crown International. Even the dividends they receive each year are the same as each other.

Since there are many people working under them, they really can't focus all their time on supervising them because of the personal matter they need to attend to. Given this fact, they needed to be more cautious which is why in important documents all of their signatures should be there.

Tampering the signature of one person could be easy but tampering all four without a single mistake is quite challenging even for the people who are already good at doing such dirty works.

"Where will you meet then?"

"They are currently staying in Sky City and since I also own a presidential suite there, it would be more convenient to just meet there." of course she is also paying for that suite using her own money even though they own the whole building.

Sky City is actually a skyscraper owned by Xi Empire and it is the tallest building in City A. To say that it is the face of Xi Empire isn't wrong because at the top of this skyscraper, a statue of a dancing ballerina could be seen which is the logo of Xi Empire for decades now.

"Will you be driving there alone?" Xi Ana thought for a while but then she realized that Hannah is not with her right now and Wang Xinyi in her eyes is still growing so she needs to go home early.

"Probably." Xi Ana said nonchalantly, it's not like diving on her own is a problem anyway.

"Well, it is still early so I guess it's fine to drive alone but when you go home just ask a trusted person of Li Jingli and have him send you home, I feel more at ease that way."

Lim Yi Sheng might not have intentionally emphasized so, but it felt like he really did when he said 'trusted person of Li Jingli.'

Those words also show that Lim Yi Sheng really trusts that Li Jingli will only let a person he trusts well to send Xi Ana back alone. Furthermore, he also had more or else a good understanding of Xi Ana's relationship with these friends of hers.

"Alright, I will. I'm still not sure what time I'll be able to go home so you don't have to wait for me. I know that you are also tired, don't force yourself to stay awake if you're already sleepy. Ar you also leaving for work already?" she reminded.

Even though Xi Ana already reminded him, it is most likely that he will still be awake when she go home later tonight. That is how stubborn her husband is so she doesn't have any other option but to wish that he will be asleep already when she get back.

"You don't have to worry about me, after I finish my work I will also go home already. Just focus on whatever it is that you need to do and I'll wait for you at home."

Once she's satisfied with the neatness of her table, she already grabbed her things and went to the parking lot where her car is.

The moment she started driving, she remembered the matter about her father and Li Jingli meeting today and this made her wonder about the scope of their conversation.

Moreover, she has yet to settle the matter with Hannah and her father's connection and now there is another matter that involved her father.

She had long accepted that there are things her Father won't say and Ana never bothered with it before but now it seems like she already needed to meddle at some point.
