Chapter 204 - Press Conference

Whether Wang Xinyi is a daughter of that person or not, there is no actual evidence to support that when she herself doesn't even know him. The only resemblance is that they have identical pairs of eyes.

Considering this recent event, it is most likely that the identity of Wang Xinyi is not simple no matter what her parentage is.

Due to the car being burnt along wth the important documents that Aaron has during that time, the only way Xi Ana will know what the result of the investigation is to ask Aaron himself once he is awake.

Or he could ask someone else re-investigate it again but that would certainly take so much time and she doesn't have the luxury to wait right now.

"For this meeting, I guess we can have it on the day before the set date of our press conference regarding Crown International. For now, lets first seen what information could we still gather from here on." he accident only happened yesterday so they might still bee able to collect more information.

Li Jingli studied he face for a while before responding, "If you think it's not that urgent then it's fine but please Ana, don't do things on your own if you can actually ask us for help."

Xi Ana could clearly see the expression on her friend's face, maybe it is really time to let the others know about this. Among her friends no one knows the reason why she decided to take Wang Xinyi under her wings but they never asked thus she never told them.

"I know, I've always known that you were always there for me."

How could Li Jingli not realize the ambiguity in her answer? Those words didn't even answer what he said so he could do nothing but just sigh.

"Since the chances that this is connected to me somehow, please do take care of yourselves." Xi Ana said. If something happened to them right now, she wouldn't know what to do anymore.

Inside the Imperial Residence where Lim Yi Sheng and Xi Ana's house were located , the husband and wife were currently preparing to start the day.

Staring at his wife who is busy fixing hi necktie for him, Lim Yi Sheng can't help but feel happy. The mere action of someone else doing this for him, and that person being the woman he loves the most brings so much joy to him.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Xi Ana asked with a smile as she finished fixing his tie and dusted off his coat.

She was just about to move away so she could aslo fix herself but Lim Yi Sheng suddenly wrapped his arms around her waist which surprised he a little. "Is it bad to stare at my wife when she is this beautiful?"

"How come I didn't realize that my husband actually has a glib tongue. Where is the sweet and innocent man I married that it only takes a little teasing before his ears becomes red?" Xi Ana said teasingly.

"If i don't learn I'm afraid my wife would no want me anymore."

The way he said those words so cutely made Xi Ana laugh, he looks like a kid who wanted his mother's attention. She then cupped both side of his face and held it closer to her then she kissed his lips lightly. "That's just nonsense, my dear." she said as their lips parted.

Looking at the slightly moist lips of his wife, he felt unsatisfied with the previous kiss and so he lowered his head and invaded her lips as though he wanted to make them one with his.

He kissed her passionately and wantonly and only stopped when they were both out of breath.

Xi ana's cheeks were slightly flushed as she tried to catch her breath and when she finally does she smacked her husband's shoulder lightly. "It's a good thing I haven't applied lipsticks yet because If I do, with that kiss it would have surely been ruined."

She doesn't normally apply make up on a daily basis but because today is their press conference, she didn't want to look so sloppily n front of those people lest they would create stories like she is not taking this seriously or whatnot.

On the other hand, the man who was just scolded by his wife smiled warmly as he pulled his wife for a hug. "Sorry, sorry. Its because I got too excited when you kissed me."

"So it's my fault?"

"How could that be your fault, my dear. Of course, it is all my fault and no on else."

Xi Ana chuckled helplessly seeing the grinning face of her husband who is obviously enjoying this, "Wipe that grin off of your face before apologizing. Anyway, if this becomes swollen you better prepare yourself to sleep in the guestroom. Are we clear?"

If her lips were swollen, those countless cameras would surely manage to capture it and who knows what kind of stories they will cook up.

In this era where information could be easily accessed, the challenge in verifying whether the information is true or not also changes.

Furthermore, there are so many people who would happily concoct news to sell. They don't care if it was true, as long people believe that it is then they are more than willing to fabricate more for them.

"How could you banish me to the cold palace because of this?" those words almost made Xi Ana laugh out loud but in the end she just chuckled.

"Don't worry my dear, as long as you behave well this emperor will not banish you to the cold palace." her index finger lifted his chin upwards.

Using an imposing aura like that as though she is really an emperor of the ancient times made Lim Yi Sheng's ears redden and he felt his face became hot. He let go of his wife and cleared his throat to hide his embarrassment.

"Erm.. Anyway, how's your friend now?" he rarely asks about it but seeing how Xi Ana's mood became livelier these past few days, if he's not yet awake, then he must at least not getting worse which is already a blessing in itself.

On the other hand, it's obvious to Xi Ana that her husband deliberately changed the topic due to embarassment but she only smiled and didn't expose him instead she answered the question seriously.

"Yesterday, his eyes opened for a second multiple times and he also started to respond to pain. The doctor has this scale they use and Aaron scored 8 points from his responses which the doctor explained that although he is still in a coma, the chances of him waking has increased."

Remembering this, Xi Ana's mood lighten once again. Right now? the first thing she wanted to happen is for him to wake up.

It's already been a few days after the accident. At first, everything was quiet but two days ago they observed that there seems to be suspicious people lurking around Ling Hospital so they tightened the security.

"Then, that's good. If it continues then he would surely wake up and recover. Anyway, I know you're worried about your friend but don't forget to take care of yourself, okay?" Lim Yi Sheng said seriously.

These past few days, she knew that she's been too tired and preoccupied at te same time so he really can't blame her husband for saying this.

"I know, I won't do anything stupid like neglecting myself anymore so you can be at ease."

Today the president of Xi Corporation will have a press conference but no one knows what the agenda is and even the selected reporters were not informed so the only thing they could do is to boldly speculate.

Some capable reporters has a feeling that today's press conference is all about Crown International because aside from the fact that this is the last issue that Xi Ana was involved in, they were also able to get an inside report that both Fang Wenna and Li Jingli of City M who are said to be owners of Crown International entered City A last night so they might appear here today as well. 

Regardless of what the agenda really is, the mere fact that it was an event organized by Xi AAnalf Xi Empire then there is no way that this news isn't worth being on the headlines so these reporters will definitely go no matter what. 

Meanwhile, a staff who is about to tell the bosses that the press conference will start in 15 minutes knocked on the door of the room where they are staying before gently opening it.

The staff saw the three bosses sitting on their respective seats as she entered, this is the first time she had seen all three of them together. She might have been workjng in this hotel for a while now but this is also her first time seeing Xi Ana even though this hotel is under Xi Empire.
