"Well, as I was saying, she chose to resign from the post and handed me these papers to give you...her lord whenever he happened to cross the path...so sign it and end this joke of a marriage!"
"Hell no!!! Where the fuck is my wife??"
Kian answered, tearing off the divorce papers. He was never going to divorce her even when she wanted to...there was no escaping of this marriage!
Madison did not stutter when she saw him tearing the divorce papers into pieces.
She had expected him to react the way he did and that was the reason why she had asked Tin to sign in multiple copies of it to be on the safe side.
She had vowed to keep her away from him and she was going to abide by that throughout.
She flipped another copy of the paper on his way and he tore that away in seconds too.
"Stop with this nonsense, Madison! Just tell me where she is and we both would not have to carry this on."
"As I had told many times, I do not know where she is. I m just delivering what she had left behind."
Madison answered very calmly. On her face, there was no hint of anger ness or being irritated by the entire ordeal when she was very much annoyed to be standing in front of him...that bastard!
Kian knew that she was not going to tell him even in the hardest of the situation. And he was running out of his patience.
He rubbed his nose and then before she could stop him, he walked past her, heading towards her home.
Madison yelled his name back but he did not stop and stormed inside. Lana who was watching the scene from the window ran up to the front door.
Kian did not spare one eye at her and looked around. The living room and the attached dining hall, it was empty.
"You can't just get inside unwelcomed!"
Madison angrily shouted but kept her voice down, knowing her old grandmother was resting.
"Tinsley??? Tinsley?? Come out...I m here to take you back home!!"
He called out, loudly, looking around. Madison urged him to keep his voice down.
"Can you not shout, my nana is sleeping!!"
Madison whispered, yelled. She so wanted to kick his arse off of her house and property itself but did not want to create a scene either.
"She is not here...as I fucking told you!!"
But Kian did not spare his ears to her and stepped inside the kitchen, opening the door of the bathroom in the living room.
Madi followed him around too, stating how she was telling him that she was not here. But he was not listening to any one of her words.
Lana stood ideal on her spot in the living room, seeing them walk around the house like a bunch of crazy people.
Kian finally came around the room where the door was closed and he was about to break in but the door hung open and in came out, Anna Maria.
Madison closed her eye in disappointment for waking up her nana when the old woman had hardly slept after everything that had happened ever since they had made Tin leave for San Francisco.
Anna Maria eyed Kian from head to toe. There was an awful silence as nobody knew what to talk about or what not to.
"I m here for my wife. I m here to take her back home."
Kian stated, very respectfully and simply. Anna Maria got out of the room, letting him into check her room out.
Kian got in and looked around the room. It was an average room with a bed and cupboards to the side, three cabinets and a vanity.
His eyes fell upon the bracelet resting on the vanity. He picked it up and knew that it was his wife's.
At least, he knew that she was here if not now. At least she was safe. He smelled the bracelet. She wore that often because of the simplicity and how beautiful it looked even when it was just a plain bracelet.
"She is not here anymore!"
Anna Maria said when he came out of her room. He nodded, not having any more to say as he slipped the bracelet back inside his pants pocket. Madison noticed that.
Not saying anything anymore, he turned around to leave but halted on his step when he heard the old woman.
"A marriage is a bond of two people. If one backs away, another cannot hold it for too long."
Anna Maria let out and Kian sighed but did not dare to turn back and confront the old woman. He walked out and Madison followed him out.
"Thanks to you for waking up my nana and creating a fucking mess!"
Kian turned back and stood close to hers. Madison did not flinch back either, neither tore her eyes from off of his.
"I know that you are hiding her...and it's not good for you to keep my wife away from me!"
Kian threatened. Madison folded her arms against her chest and did not step aside, afraid of his threatening.
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do??"
Kian eyed Lana who was still watching them from the window. Madison followed his eyes and he smirked.
"You know what I can do or capable of doing it, Madison Maria. You of all the people should know the lengths I could go if I m being denied..."
Kian spat out and Madison, although a bit scared by the fact that he knew about her affair with John.
She was going to tell Lana, everything about it but she had not mastered to dare yet and needed more time but if Kian went ahead and told Lana first...then everything was going to be destroyed...ruined.
"You would not do that!"
"Watch me if you do not hand me wife back to me!"
