They were back at Dave's home within a minute. Dave was stoked at first when he heard Marcus explain his story about how he fought with a God who came to kill him, but he made sure that Dave didn't know anything about Crayalus or the Flame Berserker.
Hiding things like this was way more important. This way only he gets targeted and not his family or friends.
Marcus saw the whole Fauna and Flora of the city as he travelled in the air. The City Lights were up and the Building glowed. The Road was perfect and light reached everywhere.
His right was surrounded by trees and his left had some barren lands.
What he looked at now was filled with building and Traffic. Chariots still filled the road this late in the night. He could see people walk down on the footpaths.
At the very end, he could see the ocean and Ships decked on their respective decks.
It was truly a sight to behold.
.....
Albert and Reiren were the first to greet him as Marcus landed from the air. They rushed and grabbed him, checking his body for wounds. Reiren almost cried, but held back her tears when she saw her son was doing okay.
Marcus's eyes darted and noticed Rolak and his familiar hiding in his parent's shadows. With a swift movement, Marcus hugged them both, his shadow engulfed their shadows as his summons got back.
Iris and Evy were fast asleep on Meya's hands as she slowly cradled them. Aaron looked worried but nodded when he saw his son thumbing up.
"Uncle..Aunty could you please let my Family spend the night over here??"
Marcus asked as he walked forward and bowed.
Aaron looked surprised and Meya smiled.
"Of course!!. What's there to ask, come right in"
Dave chuckled behind him as he patted Marcus's shoulders.
"Nah..I won't be staying here.."
Marcus shook his head with a smile.
Dave snapped back, his eyes shot up. His parents frowned as well the others.
"What happened son?"
Albert asked as he came from behind.
"Nothing dad, I don't wanna cau...I have something to do..I'll be back here by morning."
Marcus turned and answered.
"But.."
Albert stopped when he felt his wife's hand behind his back. He turned and faced her. She was shaking her head as if telling him to stop.
"Ah...Alright..Make sure you get back here by morning"
Albert spoke.
"Alright Dad...*Chuckle* I am not a child anymore"
His chuckle was the last thing they heard before he took off.
........
His feet skipped the ground below as he ran full speed towards the barren lands. He was making his way over to his crewmates.
It wasn't late that Marcus found their hideout. It was easy for him, After all he had picked up Luka from here in the morning.
It looked like a Huge boulder at first, but if you looked at it how it has to be looked, you'll easily find a small open slot of a door.
Marcus landed from the air as he hanged upside down for a second after he figured out the slot.
He pushed his hand through the slim space between the two rocks on each other and slowly but steadily opened the door.
The Entry was to a step of stairs which went down through the rocky floor, where he believed the space would be much larger. The top floor as he called didn't have much space. It was just a barren piece of rock floor room having only 2 chairs and a transparent one side window at the very side.
A Clock hanged on the wall and pointed to 12.30 in the midnight as Marcus carefully measured his steps as he made his way down the stairs.
The Space was larger as he thought. It really was a nice place with a chill atmosphere. There was a shelf carved from rocks on the wall. It looked like a cooking area and a dining place as well.
There was a Double sized bed at the very centre of the rocky room. A small wisp of light dimmed inside the light bulb as it flashed dimly in the darkness which surrounded the room.
Marcus chuckled as he saw his male crewmates sprawled on top of each other on the rocky floor. His female crewmates were lying peacefully together on the bed just beside.
Melova still had her mask on..EVEN WHEN SHE WAS SLEEPING!.
Marcus smiled at them and blushed when he saw Kerin's beautiful face. It seemed to glow, even in the dark.
Shaking off his thoughts, Marcus laid beside Cloy who was sleep talking about Melova and how cool she was.
He had amazing Crewmates..FRIENDS. But when he thought about the reason he had come here, Marcus felt guilty.
He thought following a fellow God's death other gods who might have hurt their ego, might pose as a threat to him.
For the time being, he thought of living with his Guild members even though it might pose a serious threat to their lives.
But they were far better than his Family, because even if the Gods invaded they would be able to fight together with him..As A Team!.
Marcus drifted off to sleep but send his shadow off to keep a patrol around the secret entrance. The Ornusses had healed inside his Shadow space and were out with Rolak and Diablo, Guarding the secret entrance.
It was around two thirty in the midnight when Kerin woke up with a jolt and sat up on the bed. She looked at the ceiling and rubbed her throat, she felt thirsty.
She slid out of her bed and stepped on Luka's stomach, His surprised 'OOF' blurted out of his mouth. It was a regular habit of hers, she enjoyed stepping on their innocent tummies.
She chuckled as she stepped on Luka and then on Cloy's, his 'OOF' followed as she unknowingly stepped on another tummy, but it was rock hard and at the same time was smooth.
She jumped and licked the air as she landed beside the unknown figure. She slowly sneaked to the rock shelf and grabbed a light wisp.
With utmost care Kerin traced her steps back to the 3rd shadowy figure beside Cloy. She bent down and pushed her trembling hand carrying the light forward.
The Details of the figure became more clear. Kerin's heart skipped a beat before beating crazily. Her eyes shot up as it followed through Marcus's Burgundy red hair and then over his handsome face.
She snapped back and skid back as she let out a silent scream.
"MARCYYYY"
