Chapter 117 - Deny to Die!

Kalki walks towards the broken carriage. He grabs his sword and in next moment he slashes at the axis of the wheel.

SLASH!

The right half of the wheel falls separated from the carriage as he intended.

THUD!

The broken part falls next to his feet with a heavy thud. Kalki looks at it with a frown on his face. He examines the axis for a mere minute and looks ahead slowly thinking deeply.

'An arrow caused this damage?'

He walks back to the place where the men laid dead and something catches his attention.

"The Royal Bow?".

He doesn't need any explanation for the things that he already knew. He smirks yet looks around the place weirdly as he can sense something odd.

He nonchalantly notices some random dried leaves falling from the trees effortlessly blew by the wind and falls on the box of water.

He wasn't intended to see them but the moment the leaf fell on the water something happened. It was then Kalki realized the mystery.

"The leaf..submerged?".

His curiosity increased and steps forward towards the water again. The reality made him to go speechless.

'This water can make anything turn into a stone when it comes with its contact?'.

He looks at his hand which is holding his sword for a moment and forwards his sword towards the water.

He submerges the tip of the sword in the water and takes it out.

He blinks astonished with a sublt smile "It didn't turn my sword into stone?".

His smile turned into a smirk and forwards his hand into the water with no further thought.

He takes his hand back and his smirk turns into a disappointed frown. His face gets amused even more at this moment. He couldn't believe his own eyes seeing the things happening in front of him.

The man who had turned into a stone instantly becomes into a human again but dead.

The dried leaves which had been submerged into the water now floated back to its surface as dried leaves again...

Kalki is marvelled by everything and stands spellbound.

Before Kalki's visit to the place in the same place of the forest.

As soon as Maya looks at herself drenched by the Cursed water, she gasps realizing her mistake 'What should I do now?!'.

She stumbles feeling her leg getting tightened. She gets scared seeing her clothes slowly turning into rock. She shivers looking at Bhommi "What happens now?".

Bhommi flies down to the ground and approaches Maya in panic. She forwards her hands towards Maya "Sister Maya-".

"Don't! Do not touch me!".

Seeing Maya stepping back, Bhommi stands puzzled.

'Is she worried for me?'.

Maya gasps patting her cloths trying to dust the Cursed water away from her but poor did she know it was useless. She gulps in horror and looks at Bhommi eagerly yet the panic was evident in her eyes "I will not turn into a rock, will I?".

Bhommi looks at Maya in complete worry 'I don't like to see her in distress...but I am hopelessly helpless at the moment' and speaks in a low tone "I don't know".

Maya feels her heart beating like war drums and holds her head in distress "What have I done?! I-I...what should I do now?! I don't want to be a rock..".

Bhommi asks Maya with some hope "Do you know ...Can you predict...what your Power Element is? Have you ever felt anything weird about The Five Earth Elements?".

Maya shakes her head "No...What if I turn into a rock? Can you bring me back to life? You should know something? Ah! Why don't you ask your father?-".

Bhommi speaks looking down ashamed "I can't, Sister Maya..".

Maya whines seeing her leg has turned into rock till her calves "Why can't you? Why?!". She tries to move but she couldn't lift her leg anymore.

Bhommi speaks "Father ...told that he can't help you till you find your Power Element...He also said that this Cursed water could only be freed from its Curse by an Incomplete Soul-".

Maya asks almost whispering while her voice starts to break "I am one, aren't I? Why can't I?".

Bhommi gulps seeing Maya starting to get weak and before she could speak Maya laughs bitterly as if she realized something more fatal.

"I understand..".

Maya drags herself towards a huge tree and chuckles while struggling to move "Only He can save me now...and He..".

Bhommi asks staring at Maya "What should we do now, Sister Maya?".

Maya leans to a tree trunk and gets thinking 'How can I die?! How can I die so easily? I cannot and I should not! I have to find a way...Perhaps...".

She blinks for a moment and frowns 'Perhaps..I might over power this Curse by My Curse? Could it be possible? Alas..I have no other way. If I do not try anything I might die..and become a rock forever! I should increase my strength-'.

She looks at her hands started to shiver and the blood cover in her hands reminded how cruel she was before..Her hands drenched with human blood..'May be I deserve this? I did kill the-'.

Maya suddenly frowns "I might be a murderer but I do not want to die now! I will try my every ounce but DENY TO DIE!".

She looks around and notices her body below her knee completely turned into rock. She gasps to herself "Bring me a sword!".

Bhommi immediately brings a sword from a dead soldier and forwards in front of Maya.

Maya gets it from Bhommi by her shivering hands and cuts her palm with no much thought.

AH! ARGH!

She groans in agony and could sense herself gaining strength but that didn't help with her body turning into a rock!

She blinks her tears down and cuts her other palm by biting her lip hard.

GROANS LOUDLY!

Bhommi stops Maya hurriedly "It is not doing anything, Sister Maya. Stop hurting yourself-".

Maya pushes Bhommi and screams plunging the sword into her left thigh "I AM NOT DYING!".

HORSE NEIGHS!

Maya's tighly closed teary eyes shot opened "Eros!".
