Chapter 151 - Those Same Harsh Words!

Both Robin and Sarah comes stepping ahead answering Maya instantly. 

Maya faces Victor sternly but feeling of pride fills warmth in her heart hearing their immediate support!

Sarah and Robin really would try their everything to support Maya in this situation. They know who is on their side!.

Victor speaks sternly "The Head Servant Sarah was unconscious the whole time. So, she cant be a witness".

Robin steps ahead determinantly "His Excellency can take this servant as the witness. I witnessed everything when Christopher disrespected Her Highness in The Pavilion.  Luke hasn't done any thing to disrespect Her Highness".

Victor grits his teeth in anger as he never saw any of these happening in the country!

He was also anxious for some other reason of being watched. He can sense Kalki's presence even though he didn't see him anywhere in the crowd! He knows Kalki's moves by years of serving and raising him! He knows Kalki is aware of everything happening here!

Maya asks "Since, he is considered as a witness I assume you can release Luke, Your Excellency?".

Victor asks staring at Robin trying to intimidate him "Have you been with Her Highness when this Official disrespected?".

Robin wouldn't dare to lie and speaks bowing "No, Your Excellency. I was guarding Her Highness' chamber that day".

Maya opens her mouth in shock as she never thought this Victor can be so ruthless and witty.

'He doesn't leave a single opportunity to save anyone!'.

Maya is about to speak but Sarah speaks slowly stepping ahead "But. ..I was right beside Her Highness when The Official disrespected and threatened Her Highness. Luke wasn't even present there that day, Your Excellency!".

Victor "...." Is this really our country?! Since when they started forming allies against Royals'?!

Maya only then lets out a relaxed breath as she too forgot that Sarah was with her that day! May be she is still nervous deep inside! She is mere commoner, after all!

She gets a glimpse of Sarah with pride and smiles 'I should keep her always! Perhaps she would save me at right time?!'.

Maya turns towards Victor and smirks before announcing loudly "Bring any one from The Countryside Pavilion to prove Luke's accusation, then I will leave this place with no words!".

The crowd could see her anger and many of them trembled hearing her sudden harsh declaration. But no one would dare to speak at this serious situation.

Victor clenched his jaw "..." How can I even bring people from there?! It will take at least half a day to reach there and return with the witness...only if there is any!

Victor could only let Luke go with no choice "Since, there is no witnesses. Yes, Your Majesty! Luke can be freed from his accusation!".

He walks ahead and is about to grab his sword to behead The Official, Maya announces again "Now I will pick one from them to save.....*glares passively at Victor *  according to The Emperor's Edict!".

People "..."

Victor "..." Why is she hell bend to save them?! Did she get tired of living her life here?!

Xavier smiles proudly "..." She is stubborn! Like heavens! 

Only Kalki smirks cunningly as everything is orchestrated by him.

Maya walks towards Christopher, who was looking at her coming towards him and smiles desperately as if she is his Goddess.

Christopher smiles anxiously "Your Highness!".

Maya bits her lips 'I swear.. I never thought I would do this! I hated him! I still!'.

She kneels her right leg before him surprising everyone and even Christopher.

GASPS!

She whispers "I could only do this for you".

Christopher's smile fell as he understood what this meant and starts muffling his cries "Your Highness, Please..".

Maya herself is helpless and shakes her head "You didn't leave a reason, you know. I am not the one who wants to punish you now. I am ready to let you live! But your Highnesses?".

Kalki's eyes turns dark at her sentence. His plan was getting away from his flow of thoughts now. Her manipulative words! Again!

Christopher and people are taken aback by her words and realizes the truth. Indeed, she has been struggling to save all of them for an hour and it's the Emperor and the Crown Prince who want to kill them! Their own servants! Their own people!

Christopher looks at Maya shocked in the realization and looks around the Royals and soldiers awaiting for him to be beheaded.

He gasps weakly "Why are you kneeling now?".

'She didn't kneel when I threatened her to that day!'.

Maya smiles fighting her strange emotions successfully which she never expected "Thought.. you would like to see me kneel in front of you... before they kill you".

Christopher chuckles bitterly and asks ruthlessly "So you would abandon me to die here?".

He didn't mention her with any formalities as he knows he would die in few moments. Even though The Officials insulted her, he took it too far by hurting her! He knows. This is his end. And he didn't want to distance him from Maya as she herself stepped down to streets to save him.

Maya states staring him bitterly "You could have saved that lady from dying... From her children becoming orphans.. You could have served your Royals in a right way..".

Christopher bows his head down ashamed and cries for his own crimes. He asks still looking down "Don't you hate me for hurting you?".

Maya smiles "Then you should be hating me for hurting you too! I wasn't the only one who suffered injury in that fight".

Christopher smiles without raising his head and starts crying in defeat. He couldn't fight for himself anymore. As he closed every way out by his arrogance! 

Maya stands weakly as she felt her head spinning and this place is turning too cold and gloomy for her even after wearing a thick robe.

When she crossed The Official, she stops hearing him say "I know I won't die. I know you would save me".

Maya looks at him in rage and sneers "Who am I to punish or save you? It's still the Royal edict that saved you!".

The Official "..." Those same harsh words!
