Chapter 160 - The Wish Ride Contest (1)

Maya starts speaking pretending to be nonchalant "I was wondering to visit the chamber again".

Xavier snaps instantly "Chamber?!".

'The Cold Prison?! Did she not forget about that yet?!'

He speaks without any chance for her to speak "You shouldn't go there if you don't know anything about the place, My Lady".

Maya smiles sweetly "I already thought about cleaning the place-".

Xavier almost thought she might have lost her mind "What?!".

She shrugs innocently "The place looks ancient and I want to see how it looks inside!"

She almost laughed at his horror filled face 'That was an ugly lie! I don't know what to do to manipulate him and get my answers about The Cold Prison! I am mentioning it as mere chamber as he thinks I don't know about it yet!'

He speaks firmly "You are never stepping into that garden again, Maya".

Maya gasps at his stern order and smiles "Why? It looks-".

He reasons with sanity "It would have looked scary but I don't understand why it looks fascinating to you"

She speaks faintly "My curiosity increases when something scares me"

He smirks mockingly "Then how about talking to Xander? You-" fear him too.

His words were interrupted by her abrupt reply.

"Why would I fear a horseman?"

Xavier "..." Jesus Christ! Doesn't she know yet?!

He coughs suppressing his wide grin "Huh...How about My Brother? Let's have a talk with him about the chamber".

Maya blinks and is speechless "..." I don't want to.

Xavier chuckles "What happened? He might know more than anyone".

She pouts "Why is that? You too are a Prince, aren't you? How could you not have known about it?".

'Why can't I left to be alone in my way?! Fate conspires against me to depend on him! But I will not!'

He shrugs and speaks seriously "The Emperor had forbidden everyone from talking about it and even Royals can be executed if they are found talking about it".

GULPING NOISE

He chuckles seeing Maya in gulping hard panic "Don't you worry, My Lady. There is no one alive who completely knows about that Chamber except The Two".

Maya sighs defeated.

'Should I have to talk to him to even know about this?! Why is my every single way ends to him?!'

She creases her eyebrows in thoughts 'If the penalty of talking about this is execution, then why did Sarah tell me? She told me whatever she knew despite this terrifying punishment?! She is such a good girl...but.. How does Sarah know this when this man claims that no one knows anything? So...nothing she said was true? Were they all rumours across the country?! Bhommi was right?!'

Bhommi instantly appears "Yes! But I wonder whether you even remember me these days".

Maya "..." I shouldn't have thought about her.

Bhommi frowns seriously "What did you think?! I couldn't hear you!".

Maya smirks mysteriously without uttering a word driving Bhommi insane.

The Royal Field.

Everyone is waiting for their Country's Princes to participate in Wish Ride Contest!

There were chanting everywhere praising The Throne of The Northern Realm and The Royal Family!

"LONG LIVE OUR EMPEROR!"

"LONG LIVE OUR CROWN PRINCE!"

"LONG LIVE OUR PRINCE XAVIER!"

"LONG LIVE OUR PRINCE ANTHONY!"

"LONG LIVE OUR PRINCESSES VERONICA AND SCARLETT!!"

"LONG LIVE OUR QUEEN CONSORT!"

The whole Royal field were filled with the people cheerful screams. They are too happy to be here to witness this Contest and their Royal family today!

Their enthusiastic voices almost deafened everyone and could be heard from miles apart!

After all it was the final day of their year long wait!

The crowd erupted in joy when Xavier finally arrives in the field.

"HAIL THE PRINCE!"

"LONG LIVE PRINCE XAVIER!"

Xavier pats Charles softly before leading him to the start line.

The people again starts to cheer when few men arrives with the Royal horses. They are capable enough to tame Royal Horses!

Xavier smiles acknowledging their skill and sighs looking at the Entrance of The Field "Xander is yet to arrive..".

He looks at the stage built near the Royal Barn for his family to witness this from far. He smiles seeing his mother sat with his siblings next to her.

The Emperor couldn't arrive but he is not sad anymore.

Mary smiles proudly and is beaming at her son. She couldn't help as the whole world knows that her son will win this Contest today.

She can't wait to witness her son getting the applauses and loved by the country people.

Xavier waits for his brother to start this Contest and also have a talk with him before leaving the country.

You thought it right. To speak about Cold Prison that Maya mentioned before.

He wants Maya to be nowhere near any danger! He can't send Maya back to the Pavilion. He can't afford to let her in any danger. Especially not in his absence. He doesn't believe her. She can do anything in her curiosity!

'She even managed to fall from a cliff and laugh in next moment! She doesn't fear the danger. That scares me!'

"HAIL THE CROWN PRINCE!"

Xavier jerks out from his thoughts and smiles witnessing Kalki's entry. He notices the crowd cheers losing their sanity. It was indeed a rare occasion!

Kalki stops right next to Xavier and asks looking around the crowd "Shall we start? I don't think anyone will appear anymore. So only 8 of us this year?".

Xavier nods and looks behind the servant stood on the stage far from the field. He raises his hand to gesture the servant to blow the bugles.

The servant gets the hint and takes the huge bugle next to him. He is about to blow it but stops.

HORSE NEIGHS!

Both Xavier and Kalki frowns in realization.

GASPS!

The crowd went chaos seeing Maya entering the field on Eros. Her husband's horse! To Contest!

This was something that they never witnessed. Even though they are aware that Royal woman are capable of riding a horse, they never witnessed them to participate in this Wish Ride Contest!

The crowd burst greeting her in delight!

"LONG LIVE OUR QUEEN!"

"HAIL THE QUEEN! HAIL OUR QUEEN!".

Xavier who was immersed in his thought smiles proudly and he can't express how happy he is to hear people's love for her.
