Chapter 176 - It's Your Wife. Madam Maya is Here.

Sarah walks with an amused expression on her face. She never got angry for anything recently which didn't surprise Maya. After that day of crying her life out in front of Sarah, she never bothered to correct Maya's inappropriate etiquettes strictly like before.

She pats Maya's face gently with the towel and smiles "You are tired. Why don't you rest for a while?".

Maya shakes her head "That's what I am doing ever since I came here. I don't want to be resting here when my every single day here turns challenging me fatally".

Sarah looks at Maya for few moments and asks eagerly "Do you mind me if I ask you something?".

Maya asks with an amused smile "What is it?".

She doesn't know what makes Sarah nervous to ask some question. What would she ask?

Sarah states carefully "You are very skillfull when it comes to Archery. I can say you have known a lot about it as you improved a lot by practicing yourself without anyone's help. I know how skilful you are. But.. Why can't you read or write?".

Maya "..."

That caught Maya off guard.

'How could I tell her that I am cursed?!'

Maya managed to say "I don't know...I just couldn't. ..".

Sarah speaks eagerly "I have been observing you ..watching the books Celina has in your chamber. I know you deliberately asked her to study her in your chamber..but you never tried to read or even look at them..".

Maya laughs awkwardly attempting to manage "Oh...I was not intending to touch them anyway. I really can't remember a single thing even someone teaches me".

Sarah gasps worriedly in disbelief "How could it be?! Then how can you remeber this Archery techniques?".

Maya shrugs "May be I heard them instead of reading?".

Sarah frowns and looks at Maya surprised "Oh!".

Maya smirks smugly "Yes! I can remember every single thing they taught by saying! But no matter how hard I try ..I can't read or write".

'I really wanted to read those beautiful words and want to know how they will look in words. But I am forbidden from that'.

Sarah speaks holding Maya's hands sincerely "I will ask someone to teach you to read and write if you..".

Maya shakes her head "No Sarah-".

SWOOOSH!

In next moment Maya lost her words as she felt abruptly sucked into some endless darkness.

She felt her body falling into a dark abyss and her body was tarnished by the force of her falling. 

Sudden fear creeps inside her heart and mind. The thought of her falling from somewhere made her stomach to twist in fear. The force which was pushing and pulling her made her whole mind go frenzy. She curls herself trying to protect herself from anything as she has no idea what is happening to her and what will happen next.

She shuts her eyes tight and waits for her body to crash on something. Instead of slamming hard on something, Maya felt her body hit a ground with faint thud sound. She snaps her closed eyes open when she heard a loud commotion around her.

SOUNDS OF SWORDS HITTING!

CRIES OF AGONY!

SOMEONE SCREAMING IN RAGE!

SOUNDS OF STABBING AND BLOOD SPLASHING EVERYWHERE!

Everything collectively screamed a single possiblity.

A BATTLEFIELD! 

Her breath stopped witnessing everything before her. There were men all around her killing themselves ruthlessly and their eyes were completely filled with menacing bloodl.u.s.t.

Before she could understand her presence here, her heart starts beating fast as realization dawn upon her.

This is a battlefield! The soldiers belong to The Northern Realm! Their black clothes made them even more terrifying and by just looking at them for a moment anyone can say who was winning the war!

The Northern Realm!

She felt thick smoke and stench of blood filling her nostrils and instantly felt nauseous. She realizes only then that she was fallen on the ground. Among those huge soldiers, she felt her small looked too small and even invisible.

Meanwhile in the battlefield. 

Kalki was attacking the soldiers of the Southern Realm and advancing towards the doors of their fort. Taking over this fort is his first step in bringing his own force into the Southern Country. After taking control over this his plan will begin.

He has two Generals under him. Marcus, his left wing general and William, his right wing general. Once they destroy these soldiers they will cover the three doors of the fort and the back door of the fort will be the opened by his own force waiting for him.

He will easily do this but they have to do this in an hour time and move on to the next fort. His men were scattered all over the country and he has to move his battalions faster to take the control soon by leaving few behind to guard them.

He keeps an eye on his both Generals and frowns seeing Marcus lagging behind for some reason.

Strange. 

Marcus would be the one who will lead them always. 

Kalki's whole demeanour changes when he caught sight of them hailing Royal flag!

'A Royal member needs a cover?! Who...How could it be?! Xavier?!'.

Kalki instructs his men beside him to continue and hops on his horse to reach their camp. As soon as he reached their camp, he hisses glaring at the soldiers, who were waiting for him outside "Why would Xavier come here? And why am I knowing this only now?!".

Seeing his soldiers gulping and looking at each other nervously, Kalki growls "Tell me who helped Xavier to come here?! Why is he here and not healing in the Palace?!".

Marcus was the first one to speak stepping ahead "It's not Prince Xavier, Your Highness".

Kalki snaps at him immediately "Then?".

He definitely knows no other person would step in to help him in a battlefield! 

'Who would that be?! Other than my brother-'.

Marcus is looking at the soldiers around them and he too couldn't believe how this is happening. He declares straightly "It's your wife. Madam Maya is here".
