Chapter 189 - Cousin- The Crown Prince

"She did what?!"

Alex stares at Kalki with wide eyes.

Kalki warns him calmly "Dare you raise your voice again. I won't hesitate to bury you alive after freezing your heart".

"…."

Alex's face turns ugly and grunts "Don't you dare!".

Kalki just says emotionlessly "You know the end well".

Alex steps in front of Kalki and speaks in disbelief "You ordered me to create that drama in the Countryside Pavilion and now you are telling me that she could burn the humans alive?!".

'I can't believe he did that to me!'

Kalki faintly smirks yet ignores his complaint.

Alex throws his hands up dramatically "What if she burnt everyone alive in her anger?! What if she burnt me alive when I was talking with her few days back in the Palace?! She looked so cold!"

Kalki simply shrugs "It could have been happened".

Alex gasps "What?!"

Kalki declares calmly "She doesn't know how to control her powers too".

Alex is in the verge of breaking "What?! How can you!". He screams in anger almost forgetting they are still in the Countryside Pavilion.

Kalki speaks "You are alive now only because you know the secrets I want".

Alex "...." You moron!

"Where is she now?"

Kalki answers "How is she now would be more appropriate".

Alex raises his eyebrows "What? Oh! She is still retrieving her energy? Wait. So that means…".

Kalki nods meaningfully "Yes. It's her first time".

Alex couldn't help feel betrayed as Kalki never warned him of Maya's powers before sending him to trouble her. It was just a simple plan to test her but she could have ended him in no time!

He growls in anger louder than he expected "I could have been that first man burnt alive by her you moron!"

Kalki in next moment places his sword against Alex's throat before Alex could even realize "I don't remember having a cousin anymore".

Alex "…." When did you even remember having one?!

He still manages to chuckles timidly "Ha ha... I was just scared Xander. Stop getting angry for everything!".

He pushes the sword away. He removes his fake beard and skin from his face cautiously.

He starts complaining "It's so troublesome and itchy. Can't I pretend like dying and come as The Crown Prince of the my Realm? Don't you know how difficult it is to constantly speak in a different voice? Especially in front of my family?! And I can't be seen ugly for this long! People might forget this handsome Prince's face!".

Alex gets silent seeing Kalki's nonchalant face "..." He won't answer. Then I can't do that. Now moving on.

He asks "So...Was her heart?" and stops meaningfully.

Kalki answers in deep thoughts "No. It seems different from mine. She was having a severe fever throughout the week".

Alex asks eagerly "Her heart was fine throughout the illness?"

Kalki nods before saying "And she totally remembers everything".

Alex gets excited and speaks clapping his hands "Ah! Then she doesn't forget everything temporarily. How long did you lose your memory that time? 3 weeks?"

Kalki states coldly "2 weeks and 6 days".

Alex scoffs waving his hand ignoring his coldness "Whatever..you also suffered a lot as your heart was turning so cold, the doctors almost thought it was frozen and you died".

Kalki states "The Cold Prison".

Kalki always bring the conversation back to the right direction.

Alex gets to the point "Did she tell anything else?"

Kalki says "No. She just mentions to close it. I didn't let her to continue as she still refuses to surrender".

Alex asks "Did you talk about the coronation?"

"No".

Alex mutters to himself "Then she doesn't want to be your wife. Fantastic!"

Kalki asks suddenly in doubt "Did Xavier really heal?"

Alex nods "Much better than before. And Veronica has returned".

Kalki only sighs.

Alex speaks slowly "Xavier is being engaged to Southern Realm's Princess Ava".

Kalki frowns and glares back at Alex suspiciously.

Alex raises his hands in his defense "What? I didn't do anything. Your father decided everything!".

Kalki asks "What about Xavier?"

"He looked so worried. I almost thought that he would lose his mind".

Kalki smiles "If that makes him mad, then I should step into the matter".

He is about to walk.

Alex asks casually "How many did she kill?".

"16"

And he walks out without even turning back.

Alex "…." 16?! The one which comes after 15? That 16?!

Alex almost felt his heart popping out while coughing hard.

'Xander killed only 3 on his first time! Man..He is a real man… He still answered it right without any ego though. No wonder she has been sick for a week!'

Maya's chamber. 

Maya ogled at Kalki as if he turned into a ghost when she heard the doctor.

She mumbles in disbelief "He was here for a complete day".

Kalki didn't even bothered to answer anyone and left the chamber.

She asks the doctor still unable to believe what she has just heard "The Crown Prince was here?"

The doctor answers "Yes, Your Highness. You were so sick and His Highness didn't step out of this chamber in these four days".

She asks curiously "How long have I been here?"

The doctor answers "A week, Your Highness" and continues reluctantly "But I couldn't understand the reason behind your sickness. You were burning with fever for first 3 days. But it got reduced gradually".

Kalki has been waiting for her to wake up. It's been days since she was having constant fevers. For a whole week she has been lying motionless with abnormal body temperature.

The Royal Doctors put everything they have learnt through their experience in these years to find the reason behind her illness. But they can't really find anything. They will never find the actual reason anyway. If they found, Kalki would have to take care of that situation.

In midst of these, Kalki was the only one who found out that her body temperature happened to be reduced whenever he was inside the chamber. He himself took three days to find this strange situation.

Instead of trying to explain the doctors by wasting his words, he remained in her chamber for days.

The doctors misunderstood this as his love and care for his beloved wife while his sole intention was something else. And we wonder what.
