Chapter 203 - An Imposter of a Dead Person!

Kalki who was lying in the sickbed, opens his eyes just when Maya was thrown outside his sick chamber. He stares at the ceiling for few minutes blankly while his mind makes him aware of his surroundings. When he remembered everything he notices his hand has been clenching his chest. He must have been in agony all this time.

It still hurts but not like before. So, he is confused. He frowns as he finds this situation strange. He knows very well that a certain someone really wanted him to suffer. How come she changed her mind so soon.

Even though it was long time since she left him to suffer for his rudeness, he can tell that she wouldn't have gotten pity on him within this short period of time. He treated her 'so well' and he knows this better than anyone else. So, he finds it more weird.

'Is she that kind hearted? Was my eyes betraying me? I definitely saw her strong decision through her eyes! She was so determinant! How come she-'

A weak cry from outside brought him back to the reality.

While outside, Maya whimpers recalling how ruthlessly Xavier was thrown away from her. She was extremely sad that she couldn't do anything against nature even with her powers. She always complained about being different but today she realizes how weak and helpless she would be without her Power. She weeps trembling in cold. At this point she couldn't feel her body as if it is frozen completely.

She simply stares at the harsh snow above her with so much bitterness in her heart. As if everything is happening because of certain someone!

Kalki throws the blankets away and steps down holding his aching chest. He supports himself by holding the wall. He frowns hearing faint whimpers outside and walks towards the door. He sharpens his hearing in alert and observes everything around him carefully.

He stops for a moment before opening the door and creases his eyebrows. He recalls how he got tricked by the shadow of his mother before and contemplates.

'What if mother wants something else now? Last time I couldn't do what she asked me...Why did she ask me to kill that woman?'

He doesn't want to open the door but something is making him to go against his own decision. The cry from outside demands him to step out and he can feel his pain in his chest easing gradually. He doesn't want to feel this pain of his heart crushing inside him again yet he couldn't ignore his mother if she was the one outside this chamber.

He opens the door in next moment without any delay and looks around keenly.

WHIMPERS

Kalki looks down the source of those weak whimpers.

Kalki "..." What the-

Kalki is welcomed by a pathetic woman lying on the floor. Thrown on the floor would be more appropriate to tell. He blinks his eyes repeatedly to check because what he is seeing through his eyes is unable to believe. He looks around him suspiciously as if something is trying to trick him again.

He is in disbelief 'How can she be here like this?-'

His eyes opened wide when he notices the huge cloud of snow right above her. More than that he can tell the temperature of it even from a huge distance not to mention she is very close in the distance. He gets even more confused as he doesn't know why is this happening and who exactly is doing this.

He mutters confused "What the hell is happening?"

A thought subconsciously crosses his mind at this situation.

He recalls how much it hurt when he was trapped inside the burning chamber. Even though he deliberately put his life in danger to find her Power Element, he can still remember how much he suffered.

He couldn't handle her Power Element at all and the way he felt suffocating in that smoke. With that thought, his eyes immediately zoomed to Maya's almost frozen face. She is staring above her constantly which gave him an imposter of a dead person. Her face is not pale like him but he could say it lost it life. It doesn't feel like an imposter anymore as she even stopped blinking her eyes.

Something inside Kalki made this scene completely unacceptable even though he made her suffer a lot till now and definitely wanted her to die in the past at least for a moment. He tilts his head and checks the cloud of snow for a second.

He recalls how she was brought to him into the battlefield. He knows her strangely impressive skill of Archery. On top of that, he knows that he will lose powers if she dies.

'If she dies, The Power-'

He looks at his palms and decides to save her at this moment. He nods to himself 'I don't want her life go in vain. She will die when I don't have any use of her'.

(Author just rolls her eyes and finds the readers raising their eyebrows in authority. She smiles sheepishly and runs back to her story)

He takes a step only to be stopped abruptly as the whirlpool of snow starts to approach downwards towards Maya.

Kalki gasps in confusion and he can sense some kind of responsibility arising in his heart. He conceentrates his Powers just like he does whenever he wants to use it and focuses on moving the snow cloud away. His furrowed eyebrows turned almost sore as he tried with his all strength and concentration to do it. But no use.

He darts his eyes in several thoughts of ways to save her. As they don't know the exact ways to use their powers, he too acted on his own instincts till now. He doesn't know what to do and steps ahead again but was stopped by the snow cloud as it moved down again as if crushing Maya under it.

No matter how hard he tried he can't control the snow cloud. He never failed in his life. Whether it's about conquering places or walking out from a dangerous battle with victory. If he decides, he will make it happen.

He recalls Maya telling about Bhommi who was sent to help her and looks around.

"Let it be child"

He is about to summon her but stops seeing a dark smoke starts appearing in front of him between him and Maya.
