Chapter 209 - Imprison The Queen for betraying!

Celina who was standing silently notices Sarah's worry and looks at the back of Maya's throne. Subconsciously she looks at Xavier's throne and purses her lips seeing him smiling hearing Jonathan's praises for Maya.

She clutches her palms tight and closes her eyes 'Stop this Celina! There is nothing wrong! His Highness is just happy for his brother's wife! He is a man who always cares for his family, isn't he?! Why are you staining that genuine care with your unholy thoughts?!'

She takes few deep breaths and looks at Maya's throne again. She smiles reluctantly 'I ..I really don't know what you might ask. But your decision will sure reflect your thoughts today. If you ask to leave this Realm, then you truly are innocent. But if you ask to get freed from this marriage...*looks at Xavier subconsciously and looks down* Then in my heart you will not be My Queen anymore. My Queen could never be selfish! This affair might destroy the Royal throne! My Queen will rule in that throne..will never destroy it..'

She felt like crying. She doesn't want to think bad about Maya but something in her mind brings that image of them in their embrace again and again. It makes her both mind and heart constantly in chaos. She senses something big is going to happen and no one can stop the upcoming destruction!

Jonathan walks down from the podium near Kalki and stand right before Maya's thrown. He bows and speaks politely "This servant requests Her Highness to utter the wish in front of the Northern Realm".

Maya takes a deep breath and stands from her throne. She feels herself getting more and more nervous. She looks straight and catches a glimpse if Xavier's expectant face. Fore some reason she felt his expression odd as if he is excited to hear her wish more than needed.

She overlooks that and speaks calmly but loud enough for everyone in the hall to hear "I pay my respects to all the people gathered here to hear my wish. I am grateful for getting everyone's endearment within this short period. I do not intend to make everyone wait anymore and ask my wish shortly".

The crowd in the Court Hall starts to whisper. Maya could hear all those good and mad wirds leaving their mouths clearly. She realizes that there are more good words to support her.

She turns towards Kalki and meets his cold eyes "..."

'Is this man always this cold? Hmmm..But truth to be told...and the truth is...I do not care about him anymore!'

She states clearly "I want The Countryside Pavilion ...to be solely belonging to me in the future".

DEADLY SILENCE!

Everyone freezes as soon as they heard her words.

The crowd "...."

The Imperial Court Officials "..."

Alex who has been watching Maya playfully before, now stiffens in his seat. 

Kalki's eyes have already turned stern and Xavier snaps his head towards Kalki worriedly.

Sarah was staring at speechless Celina with wide eyes. She gasps in utter shock "Did she lose her mind?! Jesus Christ save her!"

Celina is beyond speechless actually. She never expected that Maya would ask The Countryside Pavilion to herself! All her suspicions on Maya is crushed and destroyed in her mind this time. She realizes Maya is beyond her thinking. She turns to see Maya's faint smile and she too smiles 'She wouldn't step down from her throne of Queen in my heart, would she?! She is not at all afraid of her meaningless marriage with Our Crown Prince and didn't even ask to get freed from that even though she suffered a lot! How in the world does she think of this wish? Not even a single Royal family member dared to ask for this Pavilion's possession in decades! Just what is she?!'

The crowd of people gradually gets out from their daze and still not courageous enough to even whisper.

Maya looks at this oddly eerie atmosphere and wonders 'Why does this feel dangerous? I have made a drama before but this situation has turned too serious. Why are the people not even whispering anything?! How could I know their thoughts if they don't even utter a word?! Why am I sensing some trouble? Wait-'

She turns to look Kalki emitting cold aura and Xavier looking back at her in deep worry.

She could only frown innocently 'Is there anything wrong to ask a Pavilion for myself? Royals have their huge Palace! I know each Royal person owns their own Pavilion in the Royal Palace. I too want one as exclusively mine till I solve this issues. I don't want any other Royal people or Court Officials tresspassing the Pavillion. It's not like I am going to take that Pavilion with me by breaking it brick by brick! Ha ha! Did they think that I would carry it back to my country?- Wait why was he worried before?'

She looks back at Xavier again and frowns 'His worry only increases in his face. What wrong did I do precisely?'

Jonathan who was staring at Maya in horror composes himself and bows before returning to his place on the podium near Kalki's throne. But he was nervous more than anyone as he knew what will happen to Maya if Kalki don't step in to rescue her now! He gulps and steals some glances of Kalki as he so eager to see His Highness's stand in this situation now.

An Official of The Imperial Court stands demanding attention from every single person in the court. He speaks "I request Her Highness to change your request".

Maya raises her single eyebrow as she can sense his ridiculing tone. She asks tilting her head "I was told that none can object or be against the asked wish, Sir. Am I treated wrong? or.... are The Court going against The Emperor's rule?".

The man looked unmoved by her authoritative tone and smirks "Then this Official is afraid that...I might have to imprison The Queen for betraying the Northern Realm!".
