Chapter 230 - Good Boy

Alex chuckles "Annoyingly interesting" And laughs recalling Maya.

Kalki scoffs mentally. He stops his horse instantly.

A man stands in their way. Both know who the person is and both hears the news from the man.

Kalki looks at Alex.

Alex smirks raising his eyebrows "I will bring that for you. Go ahead".

Kalki turns the horse back and declares "Better you do. You are dead if you don't".

Alex chuckles mischievously "I wonder what will you do without-".

Kalki states calmly "I will kill you in the Court and will bring that myself".

Alex "...." Why are you always a violent man?! 

Kalki is about to go but Alex's next words stopped him.

"She suits you".

Kalki looks back at him with a frown "She will not last few months".

Why is he suddenly obsessed with her thoughts?

Why wouldn't he? He is so eager to look forward to his 'lovely' cousin's marriage life. And that too with a lady like Lady Maya. He couldn't wait at all.

So, we can see Alex more often whenever Maya and Kalki around. 

Alex elaborates "Lady Maya. She will last ....a very long time".

Kalki scoffs without speaking.

Alex speaks in deep thoughts "She is strangely loyal to you".

Alex gasps "Wait... Doesn't that mean she is like you? You have less tolerance to heat and even can die. So she put her life in line just for your sake?"

Kalki declares "Stop speaking nonsense. You are exaggerating-"

Alex asks him back "Am I?"

Kalki asks recalling something suddenly "Have you heard anything from that man?"

Alex shakes his head disappointed "I didn't yet".

Kalki's eyes turn stern and he grits his teeth.

Alex asks amused to lighten up his mood "What if she started to live her life as your wife? It's not bad to be Queen after all".

Kalki smirks "Then she would be the dumbest woman alive" and leaves him back.

Alex smiles mysteriously "Love-hate relation is always dumb".

Back to the Countryside Village with Kalki and Maya.

"Ah!"

Maya yelps in agony as she hurts herself while nailing in hurry.

Kalki gets out from his thoughts and scolds noticing her fingers bleeding "Can't you do anything properly?!"

Maya complaints "I was doing it properly! My hand just slipped-"

Kalki grabs the hammer from her and declares dragging her away "You are hurt anyway. Hold the door!"

Maya "..." This heartless thing! Wait. ..what am I? A potato sack? Why is he stuffing me-

She huffs and holds the door muttering some curses under her breath. In her fury, she puts pressure on the door by mistake.

CRACK!

Maya freezes hearing the sound and snaps her head towards Kalki who was glaring her coldly.

What humiliated the most was the next incident as she was instantly drenched by the cold water through the crack!

Ah!

She squeals while closing her eyes tight. She is totally drenched by now. And she must thank Sarah now for choosing this gown as it didn't felt heavy at all- Wait...

She is hurt and so she doesn't feel the weight. No need to thank Sarah in the end.

Kalki purses his lips looking at her and shakes his head helplessly.

'Annoying just like I said'

She holds the door just for few minutes but Kalki already finished nailing the wood planks. He even closed the new crack in a short time.

If Maya knew that he would finish this so fast, she wouldn't have insisted on doing it herself. She would have drenched if she held the door while he did the works but she is drenched anyway! She is so embarrassed and wanted to dissolve in that flowing water before the man on the front of her notices her.

Kalk grabs Maya by her hand away from the door and declares "It's over".

He gets an urge to smile mockingly seeing her shivering but decides to not do it.

While Maya is diverted from her embarrassed thoughts while she lools his hand holding her hand. The way he controls his powers still fascinates her more than her hatred for him!

She asks amused "How do you control your powers?"

He remains silent while looking around the door keenly. He was checking for any new cracks.

Kalki ignores her completely and climbs on his horse. He speaks before leaving "You will be rewarded for your help today. Practice more. Xavier's safety can't be compromised".

HORSE NEIGHS!

Maya looks at him in disbelief "Reward?! He could have given me warm clothes! How unthoughtful!"

She hugs herself in coldness and huffs looking around for Eros. She smiles seeing him standing where she left him "Good boy... I have to rush to my Pavilion and change- My Pavilion? Ha! It is My Pavilion now!".

She staggers towards Eros happily as she can climb Eros more easily after some practice. She can't wait to go.

She is about to hold Eros' face but freezes catching a glimpse of her bleeding hand. She immediately steps back in alert as she would have hurt Eros my mistake!

She groans loudly "How would I leave now?! Should I walk miles now?!"

She grabs her drenched skirt madly and starts walking.

STOMP! STOMP!

Eros notices Maya stomping and her face is sullen.

"Her Majesty is upset".

Maya announces loudly "Yes, I am!"

She clenches her clothes hard and mutters "After all I did... I still suffer like this! You!".

She suddenly turns towards Eros and points him accusingly "Yes! You!"

Eros neighs troubled as he is startled by her anger at him. Poor horse, he was happy seeing his Master and Her Majesty spending some time together. He even stopped himself whining not to disturb them but what he gets is her anger.
