The two commotions in the flow of energy, that Damian breaking through and Milo awakening caused, had attracted some nearby beasts in the area and also scared off weaker beasts. However, none of the beasts dared to approach the area in case there was a powerful cultivator or beast.
When somebody would breakthrough there would be a small commotion in the area, as large amounts of energy would be sucked towards one person. After it had occurred twice in the same area within a short while, any nearby beasts or cultivators that were capable of sensing it were on high alert.
In the heart of the small forest was the strongest beast, that was a peak rank 3 monkey beast. Compared to beasts it was quite intelligent and instead of being scared away by the commotion, it was attracted towards where the commotion had occured, in the hopes of finding a treasure to be able to breakthrough.
It was a known fact that there was quite a powerful beast in the centre of the small forest that was found along an edge of Aria, but it wasn't powerful enough to be a threat to any average-sized organisations or families.
In the eyes of those at the top of the Gobe Countries, such as the Originator Families, Akegria Academy, the Green House Pill Foundation and any of the others that had enough wealth and strength to qualify as a power, that people should be wary of, the forest that Milo and Damian were in, was merely a small forest that didn't pose a threat to them in the slightest.
Many Inner Academy Students would be able to defeat the peak rank 3 monkey beast with ease and it wasn't anything that the country had to worry about, but to Damian and Milo, it was an almost impossible beast to defeat.
"Milo dodge" screamed Damian as he pushed the unprepared Milo out of the way and jumped back.
The monkey beast had observed Milo and Damian for a few minutes and waited until the right time to attack.
But the monkey beast had underestimated the reflexes and speed of the two youths, who were able to get out of the way after hearing the shriek that the beast let out while jumping towards them.
However, if he used his full strength in his initial attack, Damian wouldn't have been able to dodge quickly enough without his Soul Spirit and Flame Reinforcement activated.
Damian could use his Internal Energy without the use of a Soul Spirit, just like cultivators that didn't have Soul Spirits would, but he would only be able to fortify his body and his body wouldn't gain the explosive characteristics of the Flame Reinforcement.
His skills were also all of the Fire Element and without activating his Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit to change his energy to the fire element, he wouldn't be able to use them.
[Utsusu activate the Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit] communicated Damian within his mind as he scrambled to get to his feet.
But before his Soul Spirit had been fully activated, which took a few seconds for his changeable energy to change to match the element and attribute of the Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit, the monkey beast rushed towards Damian.
Its speed and strength were nearly double that of Damian who had only just broken through to rank 2, and if it wasn't for Damian's talent and strength that was above average compared to those at the same rank as him, he wouldn't even be able to last a few seconds against the beast.
The wild and relentless monkey beast, looking at both its targets, saw Damian as the biggest threat, as he was the one that noticed his presence, so decided it would take him out first.
The monkey beast was comparable in size to an average person, had a brown furry body and stood on two feet, with a long tail, that it seemed to be able to control as if it was another limb.
Bursting off its feet towards Damian, its attack was too quick for Damian to dodge or block as the beast spun mid-air and whacked Damian's chest with its tail.
The attack was fast, unexpected and unorthodox for a beast, making it impossible for Damian to read and block as he was launched flying and crashing into a tree from the single attack.
Damian couldn't help but blurt out a curdle of blood from the impact, that rattled his internal organs, as he struggled to move his body. He was barely conscious and was only able to cling to consciousness with his strong willpower.
"Damian" exclaimed Milo worriedly as he saw his strong friend being taken down in a single strike.
The monkey beast then turned to Milo and it seemed to have an amused expression as it played with what it saw as its prey.
'This is my chance to show Damian my worth and not always have to rely on him, while I can also use my new ability' thought Milo to himself as he fought against the fear he was feeling.
Milo bit down on his tongue, shocking his body with the sharp pain as he activated the boar beast bloodline.
Milo's energy was attributeless and was the spark and ignition to his transformation that would match that of the beast bloodline that he had absorbed and understood.
During his awakening after acquiring his first beast bloodline, it was somehow completely understood by Milo without him needing to cultivate and understand it while spending time to learn the beast bloodline transformation. Similar to how Damian's first Soul Spirit copy was made easy with Utsusu's assistance.
"I will not only my friend to be hurt and will no longer be a burden" declared Milo as his energy began fuelling his cells and his body's transformation to match the constitution of the boar beast bloodline that he copied.
Milo's body hunched slightly as his body visibly became denser and stronger as his skin changed colour to match that of the beast.
Milo's power was incredible and Damian was in awe of his friend's ability as his competitive nature was ignited.
He wanted to not only be as powerful as Milo, but more powerful and he wanted to the most powerful in not only the Gobe Country, but the entire world.
While he could also see that Milo's nature had been altered slightly by the beast bloodline transformation as he became more wild and fearless in a similar way to how the boar beast that they faced was.
It was an incredible ability and Damian couldn't help but question whether it was greater than his own, but in the heat of battle he was too focused on what was going to happen next.
"Die" growled Milo as he charged towards the monkey beast.
