Everyone, including Damian's friend's, were shocked by his decision as the two students came onto the stage together angrily. Damian's unintentional disrespect infuriated them, and because of it they planned to work together to beat Damian.
They wanted to hurt Damian as much as they could to teach him a lesson for being too arrogant and disrespectful to his seniors, but Damian didn't care if they were angry as he prepared to battle them both.
Damian still had his Flame Reinforcement activated, ready to battle against them both, and he wasn't planning to show his ability to wield the shadow element unless he had no other option.
It was extremely rare for a cultivator to have dual Soul Spirits or dual elemental affinities, and if it were known that Damian could use all elements with his changeable energy, he would be targetted by every large organisation.
While the Shadow Element was not an element that was known to or used within the Gobe Country, which would make it even more shocking if Damian revealed that he could use it.
He had no choice but to rely on the use of the Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit, and even if he acquired more Soul Spirits, he wouldn't use them publically and would only use them if he had no choice.
The two students stood opposite Damian on the stage as they informed each other of their abilities and planned their strategy to deal as much damage as they could to Damian.
"You may begin" announced the academy helper acting as a judge.
He was on high alert as he was prepared to intervene at any moment, but he was excited to see what Damian and the two students were capable of and whether or not Damian would be ale to win.
Damian was also excited, but made sure to be careful against the two opponents who were both talented with Soul Spirits, and were at a similar cultivation level to Damian's first opponent.
Facing two students that were older than him and at a higher cultivation level than him, Damian wasn't scared in the slightest.
Both the students activated their Soul Spirits as the student to Damian's left had a Soul Spirit of the water element that allowed him to shoot water projectiles, while the student on the left had a Soul Spirit of the Earth Element that allowed him to form armour around their body.
[So one seems to be an Aqua Mage, while the other seems to be a Terra Fighter] observed Damian.
The student with an Aqua Soul Spirit focused on ranged attacks and was an Internal Cultivator, making them an Aqua Mage, while the other students could form a layer of Earth around their body, which acted as an armour, and was an External Cultivator, making them a Terra Fighter.
Both their abilities complemented each other as the Terra Fighter would engage Damian in close combat while the Aqua Mage would support the Terra Fighter from a distance and shoot water projectiles at Damian.
[This will be harder than I thought] realised Damian.
He had underestimated the talent and skill of the other students in the academy that he was yet to come across and was being shown that there were other capable students in the Aria branch of Akegria Academy despite it being the smallest.
[I need to take out the Aqua Mage who will be troublesome to deal with while engaging with the Terra Fighter in close combat] thought Damian to himself as he analysed the best course of action.
The Terra Fighter had restricted movement speed with the armour that greatly increased his defence, and knowing that Damian wanted to exploit the gap in speed to get past the Terra Fighter and to the Aqua Mage.
However before he could even attempt to do so, many small water blades were shot towards him with great precision and accuracy by the Aqua Mage.
Julia watching what was occurring could see how her Soul Spirit differed from the Aqua Mage, as she specialised in Water Creation Magic rather than Water Projectile Magic, and observed its advantages and disadvantages, which almost every ability had.
Damian managed to narrowly dodge the projectiles, but the Aqua Mage was relentlessly producing and firing more water projectiles towards Damian as the Terra Fighter charged towards Damian who was preoccupied with dodging the water projectiles.
[I won't be able to get close to the Aqua Mage at this rate, and my only option is to strike her with a ranged attack of my own] thought Damian to himself as he was cornered by his opponents.
The Terra Fighter launched a powerful fist towards Damian's face, but Damian didn't move his body completely out of the way of the attack and merely ducked slightly bellow it as he used the Terra Fighter as a shield to block the water projectiles.
The size difference between Damian and the Terra Fighter, that was coated in a layer of Earth, was large as the Aqua Mage was struggling to find a clear shot on Damian.
In those moments of hesitation, Damian was able to activate his newly created technique as he suddenly dashed away from the Terra Fighter before he could attack him a second time.
Damian while practising his Fire Skills had managed to form another technique of his own that used the idea behind the Fire Ball Skill and changed it to form a faster ranged attack that had more penetrative power, but less explosive power.
Fire Spear
While practising his Pyrokinesis Damian came to realise that his weakness was ranged attacks currently, so came up with the Fire Spear Skill which allowed him to form a spear out of fire within his hand.
However what made the skill powerful and useful to Damian was that he had managed to use the explosive power of the fire element within the palm of his hand, and using it, he could launch the Fire Spear at incredible speed and with incredible power.
The only downside was that its power was quite uncontrollable and it was very draining as he launched the burning red spear blitzing towards the Aqua Mage.
