Camila Almada's POV
I was standing in front of the club as the wind was picking on my hair. I was nervous, goosebumps were playing on my neck before I gulped my nervousness and went inside.
It was not that crowded as I looked at the lot. Some people enjoyed some of the drinks that they can get and they were chitchatting like it was normal. I looked around for the audition but nothing. I sighed.
"Ms. Camila?" A voice asked me as I turned around to look at the person who was calling me.
"Yes, that would be me. And you are?" I said as I eyed the smart, handsome middle-aged man as he looked at me. He smiled.
"Yes, I believed I was the one that spoke to you on the phone," he said as he was sliding his spectacles on his nose upward. I looked at him. He was handsome that's for sure and have an authority in his voice.
"If you wish to dance for Lisa, we have to move right this moment," he said as he was moving toward the back door. I followed him like a lost puppy before I went backstage.
"So, here we are. Where all the magic happens," he said as he gestured to the stuff that was on display everywhere. There was a wardrobe and there was some makeup on the vanity mirror. I wondered where Ms. Lisa was.
"Lisa will be with us tonight but I have seen your resume," he said as he looked at me.
"You did?" I was surprised to know that.
"Really? I never knew that she wanted me to venture out," I mumbled.
"What was that?"
"Nothing. I just glad that someone was vouching for me," I said as I smiled at him.
"Right. You will be rehearsing with the people that will be dancing backup tonight. Clara!" He called after one of the staff that were playing around the stage before she came to us.
"Yes, sir?" She asked. He nodded at me.
"I leave her to you. Bring her to the dancer and let her rehearse for her part tonight. And remember, perfection," he said before he looked around.
"Perfection, people!" He said as he exited the backstage.
"What was all that about?" I asked Clara. She snickered.
"Well, he always that annoying little perfectionist. I'm Clara. What's your name?" She asked me.
"Camila," I said as I shook her hand.
"Pleasure to meet you," she said as she urged me to follow her. We were walking in silence as we went out of the bar and we went to the makeshift tent that was up.
"So, you will be training here for tonight's performance. I hope you have a very sharp memory," she said as she looked at me.
"Well, I hope that too," I said before I went inside the tent. The music was loud and they were sweaty and blood and tears. Oh My Gosh! I never get to fill this excitement whenever I was rehearsing for Ballet.
"Okay, let's take a break for 5 minutes," the instructor said as he jogged toward me.
"Are you Camila?" He asked me. I nodded. He was accessing me up and down as I was aware that I was wearing legging and a shirt, not really kind of the dancer wore but I just thought that I would be auditioning for the part.
"Well, you will do just fine. okay, you will be the second lead of the dancing. I want you to be here and your partner is Dave. Dave!" He called after him before Dave jogged to us. He was smiling as he saw me.
"Hi, is this my new partner coach?" He asked as he was accessing me as well. I did not like his eyes on me, looking like I was one of his prey.
"Well, do not sweat it. I wanted you to teach her everything that she needs to know for tonight in about," he said as he looked at his watch, "5 hours. Okay now move!" He shouted as Dave helped me to get to the corner of the tent. I was putting my bag down before I looked at his shoes. He was wearing sport shoes but I don't have one. I only have sneakers!
"Oh, if you need shoes, I can get it for you. What's your size?" He asked me as I was looking at the ground. I looked up to see that he was smiling.
"Umm, size 6," I said before he nodded.
"Okay, I'll be right back," he said before he jogged down toward the trunk that was keeping shoes. He was rummaging through it as he was looking for my size. I know it was hard to find that but what can I say, my feet were not the normal size of an adult.
I saw that Dave's face lightened up as he pulled out one pair of shoes. He was smiling brightly that it almost takes my breath away. well, keynote: Almost. He jogged back to me as he handed me the shoes.
"here, I hope it's fit," he said as I took off my sneakers and I put it on. Wow, it does fit perfectly and I loved it.
"Well, let's get started before coach caught us doing nothing but running around," he said as I was tightening the rope on me. I caught his hand as he pulled me up to stand and I was looking into his deep blue eyes. I never thought they were beautiful before.
"Okay, so the steps are," he said as he pushed me to the side and showed me. I followed him as he moved in front and then back and then sling his body. I did what he showed me and then I was confident enough for that moves.
"Okay, this one might get tricky," he said as he moved his body into the front and he was stretching out his hands in front of him before he went to slide it to his side. He was so focused and concentrated that I did not focus that much.
"Camila?" He asked me as I was out of my trace. I blinked a few times before smiling at him.
"Yeah?"
"The moves, you need to do it. Follow me," he said as he was rolling his eyes at me. I was chuckling before I covered it as a cough because he was shooting me a glare. okay, that boy was gone. This was a perfectionist in himself and he called that middle-aged man a perfectionist!
"Okay, and one and two and three and go!" He said as he went out to move with the first step that I was moving. I went to follow his moves and I think I could get it all. It was like dancing with the grass as I was moving around.
My spirits flew and I was so immersed in that moves that I did not notice that Dave and a few members of the crew were watching me. I was nodding my head to the sound and I made out the moves like Dave told me to. I was so immersed that when I finished, I did not notice that people were clapping.
"Magnifico! This is the first time that I ever see anyone would move like that? Tell me, where did you learn to do that?" The instructor asked me as I was looking at him. I blinked a few times as I was digesting the question.
'Easy, if you count the death traps, shark attacks, darts with poison that Alfred used on me when we were training and also counting the sparing between Sabrina, Mia, and Alina, I guess you might want to send them to that camp,' my thought said as I was smiling at him.
"New York Conservative of Arts university?" I said but more like a question. The instructor slammed his forehead with his hand.
"No wonder you were so good. You're a prodigy!" He said as he ushered me to go with the new friends that I made. I was smiling that I was unaware I was being watched.
Nicolas Garcia's POV
I was sitting around in my suite as I have a drink in one hand. It was almost the dinner appointment that my mother set me up. I sighed. I need to get her out of my life but all that I can do was finding me a woman and make her my wife. Now that's an idea!
"Sir?" Luis' voice came into my eardrum as I looked around to see that he was standing at the door.
"Ah, Luis. What's bring you to the city of sorrow?" I asked him as I took a sip of my wine. It was nice and sweet and all that ever reminded me was her. Her scent was everywhere when I first met her. I did not dare to approach something pure and innocent. Because I was a monster.
"The dinner that you were requested to go to—"
"Don't bother. I will not go. I will not meet someone that my mother arranged. I will have the news to her at the end of the week. But tomorrow, we fly out to Romania," I said as I looked at him. He arched his eyebrow.
"For whatever reason?" He asked. I smirked at him before I put the wine down and I stood up from the sofa.
"Well, it's time for that performance. Shall we go, Luis?" I said as I went to get my jacket and went out of the door before Luis followed me behind.
