Nicolas Garcia's POV
"no!"
"oh, come on, it will be fun and besides, you might have a date tonight," Kyle's voice was annoying me to death. If he was not Lucca's brother-in-law, I might kill him.
"no, I have a business to attend to," I said as I was typing away on my laptop. Kyle scoffed at me.
"Yeah, right. You think I would believe that, do you? I know you're snappy because you did not get some right now or maybe for the last—how long has it been?" He asked me. I gritted my teeth before rubbing my hands together on my face.
"look, Kyle—"
"you have to come. Don't you miss Lucca? He will be here with his new wife aka my sister. Don't you wanna see who has tamed his heart?" Kyle said as he wiggled his eyebrows. I sighed as the temptation was so strong. I have been with Lucca since high school and Kyle that I made friends at Harvard. This will not end well.
"When was it again?" I asked him. He beamed at me.
"tonight but of course, I make an exception to you since you can come here by your plane," he said as he waved his hand dismissively. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Sweetie, can you help me please?" Kyle's bride was calling for him. He smiled as he replied to her.
"Okay, I got to go. Make sure tonight you be here, ciao," he said as he ended the video call. I was grunting and sighing as I was leaning against my chair. then, an alert was up, stating that my little dancer has gone out of the country.
"Luis, pack my bag, we're going on a trip!" I said as I went to my bedroom and trying to fight the urge to get that little dancer quicker than I planned it to be.
The ride to Romania from Lisbon was not that far. It was just 5 hours and 25 minutes if you're traveling in commercial airlines. But luckily for me, I have my private plane so, it might be less than that.
"Champagne, sir?" My stewardess asked me in Spanish as she was batting her eyelashes. I nodded at her before I took it from her hand. She purposely touched my hand as I just wanted to shrug her off. She went to the cabin to prepare some food. I took a hard sip on that champagne.
"are you alright?" Luis asked me. I nodded at him. The stewardess came and put the food onto our table. I thanked her before dismissing her. She grunted as I know she would. I have my mind in one person only and I don't think I wanted to fuck another with her image embedded in my mind.
"We'll be landing soon, sir." My captain said as I was eating my steak and was drinking champagne. I nodded at her as she was nodding at me. She looked at Luis before she smiled sheepishly and went inside her cabin again. I turned to look at Luis.
he was sleeping, saliva was dripping from his mouth. I kicked his foot before he snorted and got up, stretching his muscles.
"what, well, what happened?" He asked me as I was smirking at him.
"you got a little something there," I said as I was mentioning to his mouth. He touched it before he is disgusted by it. He went to the toilet to get some washing and maybe brushed his teeth as well.
"Hello folks, the weather in Cluj-Napoca was windy but sunny. It was 7 PM on the local time when we arrived in 20 minutes," the captain's sweet voice was ringing through the speaker before Luis was stumbling out of the toilet. I arched an eyebrow at him before he cleared his throat.
"well, I was, umm, hungry. Oh look, food, yum," he said as he took a bite of his food before I looked at my laptop again, dealing with this feeling that I don't know that I have.
We have arrived at the hangar and Luis was nowhere to be found. I grunted my teeth before I looked around me. The captain was not here as well before she emerged from the plane as her clothes were in disarray.
She went to the car waiting as she was sliding inside it before Luis emerged. He had this stupid grin on his face. I arched an eyebrow at him.
"Having fun, aren't we? Did I tell you not to fuck with my employees?" I asked him. He just smiled at me as he was straightening his clothes.
"but what can I say, your employees were fucking delicious," he said before he went to put on his professional face on. I rolled my eyes at him before he motioned to the driver to open the door. I went inside before he followed me. The driver closed the door before drove off from the private hangar.
"so, how do you know she will be there, sir?" Luis asked me as I looked up from my phone. I knotted my eyebrows together as I don't understand his question.
"your little dancer?" He said as he arched his eyebrow at me. I smirked as I was looking at my phone again. I was looking at a picture that I caught when I first saw her. She did not notice but I think I know who was Kyle going to marry
"well, let's just say, fate has a funny way to make sure that our destiny was aligned together in the end," I said as I shoved the phone into my pocket. The reception will not be starting after 8:30 and I'm sure we will be there.
Better late than never, right?
Camila Almada's POV
I was smiling happily whenever I saw Alina was walking down the aisle and her husband, Kyle Conti, was crying at her sight. I cannot lie to you but these vamps, read vampires, really know how to get you when you're vulnerable.
"why you think Alina wanted to tie herself with him?" Anna asked me as I was smiling at their happy faces.
"it's his blood, duh. You know Alina swear that she will only drink animals' but I think this guy's blood was much sweeter than those. hence, the marriage," Sabby said as she looked at them.
"well, I think it was nice that she finally finds her 'the one'" Mia said as she was the one to talk about.
"uh-huh. yup, keep telling yourself that honey," Sabby replied before Alina and Kyle sealed their deal. They were kissing passionately that my heart ached at the sight.
It was an hour ago when I just saw that Alina and Kyle kissed and sealed their marriage. Not that I was jealous, okay maybe a little, but I have other matters to think about right now. Like how can I lay low if I was right here, trying to find a gullible man to be my husband?
Seeing one more of my friends that were getting married made me wanna curse my luck. I can't even find a good guy as I don't have time to spend on a date and just have any time at all to let any guy sweep me off my feet. I sighed in my seat as I was drinking my whiskey, dry.
"oh, feisty. That's some hard stuff that you have there," a voice spoke in English came interrupted me as I was watching all the couples that were dancing on the dance floor.
"May I seat here or is it taken?" The voice came again from behind before I looked up to see who was it. He had the lightest brown orbs ever as I can see some tiny lines inside the iris. I was too speechless to say as I don't know what to do. I'm awkward with guys as I don't have much experience at it. Give me guns and daggers, I can handle that but guys, nope.
"is the seat taken?" He asked again as I was too slow to respond to him.
"Sorry, excuse me," I said before I was getting up from the seat before my drink spilled on his suit. It looks really expensive.
"oh my god, I'm so sorry," I said as I was taking some napkins to pat on it.
"it's fine," he said as he was shocked.
"it's fine really but there is something that you can make up for this," he said as he was looking into my eyes as if he knew it in my soul for who I am.
"What is that?" I asked him as I gulped to hear the answer.
"I want you to be my dancer," he said as he smiled at me. I was stunned as I looked at him. He has this smirk on his lips as I know that he was bad news.
Really bad news and I think I liked it.
