Chapter 17: The Fiancée

Nicolas Garcia's POV

I cannot tell how much I have missed her. It has been a fucking year since I have tasted her that night.

My love.

My fiancée.

My Camila.

It was a devastating time when she disappeared on me. I have done everything that I could to make sure that she will come back to me. But all my work was in vain. I have to find another way, even making myself the deal with the devil.

I still remember the night that I have stumbled out of the bar. I was drunk and high that I could not think straight and I have the misfortune for stumbling with bad guys.

Now, don't get me wrong, I was a kick-ass fighter but with my mind out of the gutter and my heart clenched because of the heartbreak that Camila had left disappeared and took my heart with her, I did not have the strength to fight anymore.

I let them beat me to death. I was devastated and was ready to die that night until someone came to my rescue.

"What the hell are you doing?!" A voice came as I was laying down on the floor, blood was oozing down onto my shirt as my nose was bleeding. I was unconscious but I can still see the silhouette that made up his arms and height.

"Go away or we might kick you as well, sissy," one of the bad guys said as he was looking at the new figure. I was trying to warn him but all I could say was more blood and gagging from it.

"Well, I think I will rather be here than let you guys beat him to death," he replied.

"Very well. Go get him," the leader, I assumed, said in Spanish before the guy was smirking as I can hear his voice.

"Well, come pick up at your size, loser," he said and all hell breaks loose. The guy was kicking the ass of my attackers as they were flying across the abandoned alley and I was looking with awe. I don't know what was going on but I can assure you that it was worth it. After a few minutes of fighting, the new guy huffed at them.

"Told you I could beat you up," he mumbled before he went to my side. He looked at me as he was looking at other police as well.

"Can you stand, sir?" He asked me. I barely can nod.

"Just hold on. We're going to the hospital," he said as he went to carry me to the hospital. As I was being treated in the hospital, I learned that he was Adam Florenz, one of the chiefs from Portugal of the elite forces. I think I just made a friend with someone.

"Thank you for your help, sir," I said as I was stitched up good. He laughed.

"Please, just call me Adam," he said as he looked at me. I winced when he pushed my head to the side.

"Well, I think your girl will be disappointed with your face now," he said. I scoffed before I shook my head.

"Well, she disappeared so I think I can leave with that," I said before Adam arched his eyebrow at me.

"Arranged marriage?" He asked. I shrugged.

"Something like that," I said before he patted my back. He smiled.

"Well, you and I, buddy, you and I," he said before he went to the counter to help settle the bill. I wanted to repay him as I don't want to be in debt with anyone, especially an elite police officer.

"So, can I know this secret girlfriend of yours?" He asked me as we were walking out of the hospital. I looked up at the bright sky as the stars were twinkling happily.

"Not girlfriend, fiancée," I said as I looked at him. He arched his eyebrow again.

"Cheating?"

"No, just some killing that made her run away," I said truthfully. Adam was quiet for a while before he burst out loud. He thought I was joking about the killing part.

"Well, you do have a weird sense of humor," he said as he shook his head. I arched my eyebrow at him.

"Well, if you think so," I said as I was walking toward his car. He had offered me a lift home.

"So, what's her name?"

"Camila, Camila Almada," I said as I got into the passenger seat as Adam got inside the driver's seat.

"Well, is she Portuguese? I think Almada was one of the wealthiest—"

"That's her. Her parents and my parents were friends, until the accident," and my hand in that matter as well, but I kept quiet on that part.

"Well, sorry to hear that," he replied as he started the engine and went out of the parking lot.

"No, don't be. I think she needs some time after the event and I was not being pushy over that matter," I said as I was looking outside the window.

"Why?"

"She hates me," I replied.

"Then, win her back," Adam replied as I rolled my eyes at him.

"Well, do you love her?" he asked so suddenly. I blinked a few times as I turned to look at him.

"What?" I asked him as I wanted to make sure that I did not mishear his question.

"It's really simple. Do you love her or not?" He asked me again. I scoffed at him.

"Of course I—"

"Did she knows?" He asked me.

"Well—"

"Then, you need to start to show that you do or maybe you don't. I don't know, you are a complicated man," he said as we rode in silence again.

Was I a complicated man?

That thought lingered with me till the end.

I was kissing her as I was pushing her onto the floor again. She grunted as her back was in contact with the cold floor. It was morning and I have a hard boner as I looked at her figure last night, in my bed. I don't think I ever brought anyone here, except for her when she was here a year ago and now.

"I don't think this was appropriate for us to start toward that," she said as I was kissing her jaw and neck. I smiled as I knew what she means.

"Well, I can always stop. But do you want to?" I asked her in a whisper as she shivered from my husky voice.

"I'll kill you if you stop, Garcia," she replied as I picked her up and put her onto the bed.

"Your wish is my command then, fiancée," I said as I was on top of her and I kissed her mouth. She gasped as I was licking her bottom lips. She allowed my tongue to go inside her mouth and fucked it. She was very responsive as I was roaming her body, she arched her back at me.

"Nicolas," she whispered as her erected nipples were grazing my chest. I went to kiss her neck and I wanted to devour her tits the first moment I saw her a year ago.

"We can't," her statement made me stopped in all my advance on her body. I looked at her as her yellow eyes were pleading with something. Something that I could not place it until I saw it fully.

Love.

She wanted to feel loved and I think I cannot give her that right now. Not after what happened even we have opened up our feelings about each other.

I went off of the bed as I went to the window. I looked at the city that was starting to get busy in the morning before I heard a rustle behind me, on the bed.

"Nicolas, I—"

I held up my hand as I turned to look at her. I can tell that my face was emotionless as Camila, the love of my life, was looking at me with emotions that I knew too well.

Hurt. Betrayal. Frustration. Love.

Even after what I have done during her absence, she still feels that way toward me.

"I'm sorry, I can give what you wanted me to give to you," I said before I went out of the room. I need to get away from her before I did something that she will regret.

But I think the most regretful thing to not do was to stay by her side.

I went to the study room where I have been since she was missing in Action. I did some research and with the help of Danial Summer, one of the acquaintances that I made after I befriended Adam, he was the one that helped me to keep in track of all Camila related business.

I know what you think, I was a stalker and such, but I have to make sure that my fiancée was safe, even if it means that I have to stalk her all over the place and keep her on the leash, even though I was the one that holding the end of the leash.
