Chapter 679 - Holiday

Name:The Cursed Prince Author:
Kira and Gewen went to Southberry to see the vineyards for one week. Mars was happy to see them go and, deep inside, he hoped Gewen could use the little time he had with Kira to make a good impression on her. So, Kira would think twice about their non-existent relationship.

Mars also didn't say anything to Gewen about Kira's plan to go home and see her father after she executed her plan to rob the Prestons and sell Ellena to her pirate gang.

The king thought it was between Gewen and the pirate princess. So, he didn't want to interfere. Besides, if Gewen knew Kira would leave so soon, he might sulk all the way to Southberry and ruin their holiday.

While Gewen and Kira were away, Mars used the time to take Emmelyn and Harlow sightseeing to nice places around the capital as well. Emmelyn started feeling the discomforts and nausea at the end of her first trimester and her husband tried so hard to accommodate her needs.

Fortunately, Bruinen was still around and he could lend his knowledge on many herbal medicines that could alleviate body discomforts on pregnant women.

His master, Elmer, had returned to their home in the mountain but Bruinen asked permission to stay behind a little bit longer to study more literature on medicine.

When he heard Emmelyn was pregnant, Bruinen happily offered to make some vitamins for her.  His potions were also less bitter than what Mr. Vitas gave the queen.

This made Emmelyn prefer to drink her medicine if it was prepared by the young wizard. It only took two days before Bruinen's potions showed the effect. Emmelyn no longer felt nausea and her back pain was also lessened greatly.

"Do you think Bruinen would want to be our royal physician if we asked him?" Emmelyn asked Mars after they had lunch in their villa on top of the hill, overlooking the beautiful valley below them. As far as the eye could see, sunflowers were blooming.

This was the last batch that the farmers would harvest to make oil. If they came one week later, all the sunflowers would already be gone.

Mars was glad to see the sunflowers were still around so his wife could have something beautiful to look at every time she went out of the villa and see their surroundings. Harlow loved the flowers too and always talked about them.

She was getting good at drawing too. The nanny they hired to take care of her was a gifted artist and taught Harlow to use charcoal on paper to draw simple things. After their visit to the 'sunflower villa', the big yellow flower was now her favorite thing to draw.

"Hmm? Do you want Bruinen to work for us as the royal physician?" Mars asked his wife.

"Yes. He is really good," Emmelyn said. "Not only he is talented, but he is also quite young. He could serve our family for generations to come, much like Mr. Vitas when he started working for your family."

"Hmm... you are right. He has been working for my family for generations. I think it started with my great-grandfather." Mars rubbed his wife's arm while speaking. She was sitting on his lap, so he hugged her waist with one hand and rubbed her arm with the other.

"Yes, and he will retire after I give birth to our next child," Emmelyn reminded her husband. "Have you decided on his replacement?"

Mars nodded. "As a matter of fact, I have. We have several candidates for the position. They are all famous doctors in the capital. But, if you want Bruinen for the job... I can talk to him."

He added, "I am not sure he would be interested though. If he is more like Elmer, then he would prefer to pursue magic and become a wizard, like his master."

"Yeah... well, there is no harm in asking," said Emmelyn. "I really like his medicine. It doesn't taste like medicine at all."

"Very well. If you really like him, I will try my best to convince Bruinen to work for us," Mars said dotingly. He had promised himself to make Emmelyn's pregnancy the most relaxing one. So, even if he had to pay Bruinen a lot of money, or grant his craziest wishes, the king would do it.

As long as Emmelyn got what she wanted. Mars truly believed in the saying that 'a happy wife, happy life'.

The couple had not told anyone about Emmelyn's pregnancy, only Mr. Vitas and Bruinen. However, John was very attentive and he could immediately know what was going on.

Mars had to specifically ask his butler to keep the information a secret. He would prefer to wait until Emmelyn's pregnancy was in her mid-second trimester, to make sure everything was okay, and her stomach bulged enough for people to be suspicious before he would share the good news with his parents and the Greenans.

"Thank you," Emmelyn turned her head around and wrapped her small hands around Mars' neck, then she landed a sweet kiss on his lips.

"Ahh..." Mars kissed her back, a little too passionate, that he suddenly felt his pants tighten. The man reflexively moved his body back slightly after the kiss.

He didn't want to follow his impulse and attacked his wife with indecent gropings, because they were currently sitting on their terrace with Harlow and her nanny sitting to their right, drawing sunflowers.

Mars cleared his throat. He asked Emmelyn playfully, "What was the kiss for?"

"Nothing special," Emmelyn shrugged. She looked at him with a big smile on her face. "I just feel like kissing you."

"Ah... I like that, kissing me for no special reason," Mars smiled so happily. "I love you."

"I love you too..." Emmelyn replied sincerely.

They kissed again.

This time, Mars realized it was futile for him to avoid his carnal desire. He got up from the chair, still with Emmelyn on his lap, so his hands immediately supported her butt. Emmelyn instantly wrapped her hands around his neck again.

"Do you want to... make love to me for no special reason?" Mars whispered to her ear with his husky voice. "I would love to go down on you for no special reason too..."

Emmelyn's eyes bulged when she realized something hard poked on her butt. Gosh... couldn't they have an innocent kiss? Why was he always so turned on like this?

Not that she minded it, though. Emmelyn had found out from experience that pervertedness (or perversion) was contagious.

So, when her husband was thinking perverted thoughts, they rubbed off on her too. Suddenly, the thought of him going down on her was playing in her mind. Ahh...

Emmelyn licked her lips and nodded shily. "Yes."

"Aha..." Mars chuckled and kissed her. "I know it!"

He quickly took Emmelyn back to their chamber, leaving Harlow and her nanny and their sunflower drawings.

While the king and queen spent quality time together in their villa, Gewen and Kira were having the time of their lives too. The vineyards in Southberry were truly beautiful at this time of the year.

They could see bunches of chubby grapes hanging from the plant, for as long as the eye could see. There were purple and green grapes, looking really healthy and inviting saliva.

Gewen and Kira did some grape picking activities, picnic, and like he said, made love under the stars. The sex was mindblowing and the fact that they were surrounded by nature, with the milky way above them, made the sex feel even more amazing.

Gewen was not Kira's first sexual experience, but he was surely the best. He could know her sensitive spots and pamper them expertly.

Since he said he would make her scream his name, he truly prove his words. Kira screamed in pleasure every time they had sex and each session could last for hours. Now, she truly understood why Gewen was a famous womanizer. He knew how to pleasure a woman.

The sex was so good, that after four days together, Kira started thinking that it would be such a shame if she left because she would leave behind a sex god that had given her so much pleasure.

However, would it be worth it to stay? She was asking herself.

She realized Lord Gewen Athibaud and she came from different worlds. They could travel to each other's world but they could never stay. Some places were meant for travel only, and some places were meant to be called home.

She doubted Gewen could adjust himself in her world if she asked him to go with her and plunder cities. She also couldn't see herself staying in Draec and becoming a housewife, like those noblewomen in the capital.

They looked oh so boring.

Sometimes, love just ain't enough, she thought to herself.

[Love?]

[Wait...]

[What was I thinking?]

[I am not in love with this man.]

[The sex is good.. ahem, I mean, GREAT! But... do I LOVE him?]

Kira furrowed her brows. She couldn't believe she was thinking about love just now. Gewen saw her expression and was wondering what she was thinking.

He touched Kira's arm and asked her, "Why are your brows knitted?"

"Huh?" Kira batted her eyes. "What do you mean?"

"I see your brows knitted. You seem like you are thinking of something really serious," Gewen said. "May I know what's bothering your mind?"

Kira bit her lip. She didn't know why she was thinking about their relationship all of a sudden. She looked at the man and sighed. She saw the glint in his eyes. Somehow, his gaze looked familiar.

It was the way Mars always looked at Emmelyn. It was the gaze of a man in love.

Was Gewen really in love with her?
