11 Chapter Eleven

Masamune looked at the old doctor before him who had his eyes shut disinterested. When the elder sensed the demonic presence he couldn't help but watch the handsome demon.

The demon had his head tipped slightly in respect as he respectfully requested him to see his wife.

When the old man did not say anything Masamune was not disheartened and brought up a deal in exchange for the old man checking his wife's constitution.

The elders eyes glinted sharply, he secretly admired the man, he was willing to exchange anything for his wife to be cured. It was rare to come across men that devoted themselves to only one women in their lifetime especially in a time where polygamy was the norm.

Unfortunately what he wanted was not gold or riches. He wanted a life jade pendant, it was white and almost transparent in colour with red streaks.

For the past 18 years he has searched relentlessly for it, and never found it. He did not expect anything from the fellow and let him go.

Masamune didn't take long to return to her side. Kagura felt warmth on her back as a large white cloak draped over her. She caressed the cloaks fabric, it was soft and warm to the touch.

"You'll catch a cold, don't go out dressed lightly" the man said helplessly.

Kagura looked at him worriedly, however he was insistent on her wearing his cloak.

If anything you are the one going to catch a cold, sigh, he was wearing less than her.

The young fellow hidden amongst the plum blossoms watched as a tall demonic figure approached the woman speaking in a gentle tone.

"How did it go?" Her cool voice like the streaming rivers reached his ears as she spoke to the man next to her rising to stand with the man's help.

"Don't worry, I will take care of this" He reassured her.

"Is there is anything I can do?"

"You only need to take good care of yourself" Kagura felt somewhat useless being unable to do anything but he was right, the best way to be of any help to him would be to look after herself.

He wanted her to entrust herself to him, so she'll do it.

Kagura rested her head against his chest. She seemed to always feel a sense of security doing so. Masamune wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his head on hers.

He wished time would stop. He wished he could share some of her pain, that way she wouldn't suffer alone. He would even take on her pain alone if he could.

He needed to quickly find the life jade pendant. Two months. He has less than two months.
